Urban Youth – Volunteer HR & Volunteering Manager Wanted

We’re so excited to be launching Urban Youth — a brand new London youth work charity created to give young people experiences, opportunities, and the space to discover themselves and the world around them. This is a youth community built on care, creativity, belonging and real connection… and now we’re looking for someone special to help shape the people side of everything we do.

We’re searching for our first amazing HR & Volunteering Manager — someone who loves people, loves development, and loves being part of an exciting community where everyone is growing together.

This isn’t a corporate HR role. It’s warm, relational, and full of heart. You’ll be helping us build the culture, systems, and volunteer experience that will define Urban Youth from day one.

What you’ll be helping us create

With our team and volunteers, you’ll help us build:

• a volunteer experience that feels welcoming, supportive, and full of purpose.

• simple, people‑centred HR processes that help everyone feel safe and valued.

• recruitment pathways that attract brilliant, diverse volunteers.

• development opportunities that help volunteers grow their skills and confidence.

• a culture where people feel seen, appreciated, and part of something bigger.

Someone who:

• genuinely loves people and understands what helps them thrive.

• has experience in HR, volunteering, people development, or community organising.
