Job description

URBAN YOUTH is a volunteer‑powered youth collective taking youth work back to the streets — pop‑ups in unused spaces, parks, estates and community corners where young people already are.

No red tape. No long waits. Just high‑impact, creative, street‑level youth work that’s free, fast and accessible.

We’re getting ready for launch — and we need a Project Manager (Volunteer) who can help us pull the whole thing together.

THE ROLE

As our Volunteer Project Manager, you’ll work closely with our Founder to lead the project management of our set‑up and launch. You’ll take all the moving parts — branding, safeguarding, volunteer recruitment, partnerships, pop‑up logistics, equipment, comms, policies — and shape them into a clear, realistic project plan that gets us launch‑ready.

You’ll be the person who keeps us on track, spots gaps, solves problems early, and makes sure nothing falls through the cracks.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Creating and managing a full project plan for our launch

  • Coordinating tasks, timelines, risks and dependencies

  • Working directly with the Founder to prioritise what matters most

  • Bringing structure to a fast‑moving, creative start‑up environment

  • Supporting the set‑up of systems, processes and volunteer onboarding

  • Helping us move from “big vision” to “ready to launch”

WHO THIS IS FOR

This role is perfect for someone who:

  • Loves organising chaos into clarity

  • Enjoys building things from the ground up

  • Has experience in project management (professional or volunteer)

  • Thrives in fast, agile, start‑up‑style environments

  • Wants to use their skills to create real impact for young people

You don’t need to be a youth worker — just someone who can bring structure, momentum and calm leadership.

TIME COMMITMENT

Flexible and remote‑friendly. As this is a volunteer role, this volunteer role offers great flexibility. We’ll work around your life, not the other way around.

WHY THIS MATTERS

You’ll be helping build a new model of youth work for London — one that’s raw, real, and rooted in accessibility. Your work will directly shape the launch of a movement designed to give young people opportunities they’ve never had before.

HOW TO APPLY

Send a short message telling us who you are, what excites you about this role, and any relevant experience. No CV required — just authenticity, energy and commitment.
