VOLUNTEER PROJECT MANAGER (THE CHIEF NAVIGATOR)
WANTED: THE CHIEF NAVIGATOR
ROLE: VOLUNTEER PROJECT MANAGER
LOCATION: HYBRID / THE STREETS
OPERATIONS: HIGH SPEED. LOW OVERHEADS. ZERO FRICTION.
THE MISSION
URBAN YOUTH is a moving target. We don’t sit in static buildings waiting for life to happen; we drop into the heart of London and make it happen. We need a Project Manager who can take the chaos of a "pop-up" vision and turn it into a clinical, well-oiled machine.
You aren't just managing a schedule; you’re the engine room of the movement.
THE GIG
-
The Deployment: Mapping out the logistics for our "Signature Event" drops—from venue scouting to kit lists.
-
The Squad: Coordinating our volunteer professionals to ensure everyone knows where to be, when to be there, and what the "win" looks like.
-
The Blueprint: Standardising our "Pop-Up Playbook" so we can launch in a new borough at a moment’s notice.
-
The Impact: Tracking our KPIs to prove that an agile, volunteer-led model delivers more than traditional "fluff."
ABOUT YOU
-
Execution Obsessed: You love a plan, but you love the delivery more. You know how to pivot when a venue falls through or a "drop" needs to move.
-
London Literate: You understand the city’s geography. You know the difference between a council hall and a "space with soul."
-
The Toolkit: You’re a pro with Trello, Monday, or just a legendary spreadsheet. You keep the red tape at zero and the efficiency at 100%.
-
The Connector: You can talk to anyone—from a corporate sponsor to a youth mentor—and get them moving in the same direction.
THE COMMITMENT
Flexible and task-based. We need a solid push during the Launch Phase to set the systems, then a few hours a month to oversee the monthly project drops.
THE PERKS
-
C-Suite Experience: Lead a high-profile, ambitious project that is disrupting the youth work sector.
-
Strategic Freedom: You own the operations. If there’s a faster, sharper way to do it, you make the call.
-
Community Legacy: You’ll be the reason a "postcode lottery" youth gets a shot at a world-class creative studio.
HOW TO APPLY
Keep the long-winded emails. We need to see your logic.
Reply with:
-
The "Pop-Up" Solution: In three bullet points, how would you organise a music studio "drop" in an empty shop with only 48 hours' notice?
-
The Track Record: One example of a project you’ve managed from scratch (professional or personal).
-
The Tools: What’s your go-to system for keeping a team on track?
