VOLUNTEERING ASSISTANT (VOLUNTEER ROLE)

URBAN YOUTH is a bold new grassroots youth work charity in inner London, creating vibrant, screen‑free spaces where young people connect with inspiring adult role models, build confidence, and discover who they can become.
We’re building something big, a community, a family, a London-born youth culture rooted in positivity, creativity and belonging.
To make that happen, we’re looking for a friendly, organised and proactive Volunteering Assistant to support our Volunteering Manager and Volunteering Officer in building and energising our dream team of volunteers.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
As our Volunteering Assistant, you’ll help keep the volunteer experience running smoothly. You’ll:

Support volunteer recruitment activities.

Help coordinate interviews, onboarding and welcome sessions.

Keep volunteer records up to date.

Assist with organising training, socials and team events.

Check in with volunteers and help keep everyone connected and motivated.

Provide general admin and coordination support to the Volunteering Manager and Officer.
This is a role for someone who loves helping people, enjoys being organised, and thrives in a positive, energetic environment.

No HR or admin experience needed — just enthusiasm, kindness, and a willingness to learn.
