YOUTH WORK TRAINER (VOLUNTEER ROLE)

URBAN YOUTH is a bold new grassroots youth work charity in inner London, creating vibrant, screen‑free spaces where young people connect with inspiring adult role models, build confidence, and discover who they can become.

We’re building something big, a community, a family, a London-born youth culture rooted in positivity, creativity and belonging.

To make that happen, we’re looking for an inspiring Youth Work Trainer to help equip our volunteers with the skills, confidence and knowledge they need to support young Londoners safely and powerfully.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

As our Youth Work Trainer, you’ll play a key role in shaping the quality, safety and impact of our youth work. You’ll:

• Deliver engaging training sessions and workshops for volunteers.

• Cover essential topics like safeguarding, mentoring skills, youth engagement and more.

• Help volunteers build confidence in working with young people.

• Support the development of a positive, youth‑centred practice culture.

• Work with our Volunteering Team to identify training needs and create new sessions.

• Bring energy, clarity and inspiration to every workshop.

This is a role for someone who loves teaching, believes in young people, and wants to strengthen a movement from the inside out.

WHO YOU ARE

We’re looking for someone who is:

• Confident facilitating groups and leading training.

• Knowledgeable about youth work, safeguarding and working with young people.

• Warm, engaging and able to make learning fun and accessible.

• Passionate about empowering volunteers to be brilliant role models.

• Ready to give a few hours a month to something meaningful.

You don’t need to be a formal lecturer — just someone with real youth work experience and a gift for sharing it.
