Public Relations & Media Outreach Volunteer
LaLa Speaks Foundation is seeking a Public Relations & Media Outreach Volunteer to help elevate a growing brain health awareness movement. Created in honor of Jacqueline “LaLa” Rhone, our nonprofit is dedicated to brain aneurysm awareness, education, and advocacy.
This volunteer will help increase visibility for our flagship awareness experience, Silent Sounds, Loud Impact, and support storytelling tied to key public awareness and advocacy efforts.
Responsibilities may include:
- building and updating media lists
- drafting press pitches and outreach messages
- identifying podcasts, journalists, and community media opportunities
- supporting publicity for awareness campaigns, events, and advocacy milestones
- helping shape story angles that increase visibility for our mission
We are looking for someone who is:
- a strong writer and communicator
- organized and responsive
- comfortable with media outreach and research
- passionate about helping mission-driven organizations grow their visibility
This role is ideal for someone who wants to use communication skills to support life-saving awareness and community impact.
Minimum Hours per Week:
4-6 hours per week
Duration:
6+ months
