REMIX is a brand new, dynamic UK youth charity launching in London, focused on transforming the lives of young people aged 11-26 from deprived areas, initially across Hackney, Tower Hamlets, and Southwark. We believe that postcode shouldn't determine potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Roller Banners for events and outreach.

• Design Proficiency: Strong demonstrable skills in graphic design, with proficiency in industry-standard software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign or similar tools like Canva Pro).

• Portfolio: A portfolio or examples of previous work demonstrating strong typography, layout, and visual communication skills.

• Reliability: The ability to work independently, manage your time effectively, and meet agreed-upon deadlines within a flexible schedule.

• Communication: Excellent communication skills to take briefs and provide creative updates remotely.

• Passion: A genuine passion for youth development, social mobility, and the mission of REMIX. Experience working with youth or community organisations is a bonus, but not essential.

Role of the Chair:

The Chair of the Board of Trustees provides strategic leadership to the Foundation, ensuring robust governance, clear vision, and accountability to our mission. Clinks’ trustees work with our Chair and the Senior Leadership Team to ensure that we adhere to all the necessary governance and legal liabilities, and to support the charity to achieve the highest level of support to voluntary organisations who work across the criminal justice system. 

To ensure we have a range of experiences, perspectives, and skills within our board, we are particularly interested in hearing from people with knowledge of or representative of Arts organisations, and/or of Welsh organisations operating within criminal justice. We are open to trustees with a wide set of skills and experience; we are interested in hearing from people with experience and knowledge of digital, fundraising, business development and acumen, HR and employment law, and exposure to infrastructure support.

Responsibilities

You will: 

• Be a key member of our board - maintaining input, communication and bringing your skills and experience to support the Chair in all aspects of Clinks’ work. Helping to develop its future strategic plans.

Home-based Childline email counsellors respond to emails from young people who have got in touch with something that's worrying them, whether it's bullying, abuse, self-harm or family relationships.

As a charity that supports children and young people, we make safeguarding individuals our top priority. For this reason, all volunteers are subject to an enhanced criminal record and disclosures check. We also ask all volunteers to adhere to our Safeguarding, Equality and Confidentiality policies. Would you like to improve the urban walking environment and our quality of life? Living Streets, the UK charity for everyday walking, is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced person to chair our board of voluntary trustees. 

We are a charity that can influence anyone’s daily life. Our mission is to achieve a better walking environment and inspire people to walk more. 

This is a pivotal time in our history: with a dynamic and experienced new Chief Executive, Catherine Woodhead; and a period of development, with a new strategy incoming that will take us towards our centenary in 2029. 

With our thousands of members and supporters we run campaigns for positive change and influence policies that improve our streets such as encouraging families to walk to school, 20mph speed limits and controlling pavement parking. 

We manage innovative national projects, engaging schools, communities and workplaces to encourage more people to walk short journeys. Our year-round walk to school challenge captures the imagination of children in over 2000 schools. 

We work with local authorities and businesses to improve streets and public spaces. Our reports, such as The Pedestrian Pound, make a substantial contribution to the active travel agenda. 

We are seeking someone with strong leadership and networking skills, with experience of good governance and helping organisations through growth. You will possess a substantial reputation which will add to the credibility of Living Streets. The role is a voluntary unpaid position, though reasonable expenses will be reimbursed. The term of office is for six years.
