Pranic Evolutions
Pranic Evolutions are addressing unequal access to alternative healthcare with a focus on energy healing.
Pranic Evolution is a small but growing team whose aim is to provide practical, video-based lessons to empower all those who have the desire to do so to become effective energy healers.
There is a growing body of evidence (both scientific and anecdotal, experiential) showing the effectiveness of various energy healing modalities such as Pranic Healing and Reiki in easing (and often even completely alleviating) the suffering caused by a number of physical, mental and emotional ailments. Master Choa Kok Sui, the founder of Pranic Healing, imagined a world with one energy healer in every household, irrespective of their culture or socioeconomic status, and we want to do whatever we can to assist in this noble mission.
The beauty of energy healing is that no special ability, material or tool is required for it to be carried out effectively, other than knowledge and dedicated practice of the techniques, a clear mind, a sincere will and a compassionate heart open to helping and serving others. We know that there are millions of kind, loving, caring individuals around the world who could become excellent energy healers but have not so far had the opportunity to explore this avenue because of limited awareness of its potential, and also the time and cost incurred in attending courses.
Their intention is to share all that we have learned about energy healing with anyone who might find it of help or interest. We see this as both our duty and our privilege. They plan to do this predominantly through a series of free of charge, freely accessible, ad-free video tutorials run through YouTube, which we hope to translate into as many languages as possible in order to reach as wide an audience as possible. They will not ever charge or profit in any way from our work or from the video or social media channels we create. Their work is funded entirely by private contribution, and we do not even have a bank account.

Opportunity to Make a Difference: Become a Trustee at St. Luke's Hospice
St. Luke's Hospice is here for our local community when and where they need us. As a Hospice we provide compassionate care and work to ensure equity of access to those in the communities we support, whose illnesses are no longer curable.
Our care ensures dignity and empowers people to make the choices they want from the moment they are diagnosed. We provide support from our two Hospices (Basildon and Thurrock) as well as out in the community at a person’s place of residence, when needed. Our team is made up of various health and social care professionals, many of whom work with us on a voluntary basis.
Our organisation is going through an important and exciting period of transformational change, and we are looking to recruit new Trustees to be part of this on a voluntary basis and to help diversify skills and lived experiences that our Board has.
Our Board are collectively responsible for the overall governance and strategic direction of the charity working with the Chief Executive and Executive Team.
We would welcome applications from individuals from a range of backgrounds (private/public/third sector) who have experience of working at a senior level with or without board experience. For an informal discussion about joining our Board, feel welcome to contact Eileen Marshall, Chief Executive.
Role Details
- Salary: The role is unremunerated, but reasonable expenses will be reimbursed.
- Contract: Trustees are appointed to the Board which is renewable annually at the Annual General Meeting (AGM).
- Time Commitment: There will usually be up to eleven meetings a year at 4-6 week intervals. Meetings are currently scheduled for Wednesdays and last for 2 hours. Board members are expected to attend at least eight meetings a year and actively contribute to discussions.
- Location: St. Luke's Hospice, Basildon and possible hybrid arrangements available.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with fellow Trustees and the Executive Team, to set and review strategic goals.
- Ensuring the hospice complies with its governing document, charity law, and any other relevant legislation or regulations.
- Attend Trustee meetings (in-person or remotely), which are approximately every 6 weeks and also represent the organisation at external events or other meetings.
- Being an ambassador for St. Luke’s Hospice, promoting its values and work within the wider community.
- Actively contributing to Board meetings and Sub-Committees with insight, perspective, and expertise.
About You:
- Commitment to the mission and values of St. Luke's Hospice.
- Experience in HR, Digital/IT, commercial retail management or clinical.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and leadership skills.
- A passion for making a difference in the community and improving the lives of those facing life-limiting illnesses.

At Acorns we provide care and support for life limited or life threatened children and their families. We are a charity, so most of the care that we provide is funded through fundraising and through our shops.
To help us to continue to provide the care that we do, we are looking for fun and enthusiastic volunteers to join us in our Bromsgrove shop. Our shops are exciting and dynamic, with no two days being the same. From our walk-in customers, to receiving donations, and everything in between
As a Shop Volunteer with us, you will be:
- Engaging with customers
- Accepting and sorting donated stock
- Pricing donations for sale
- Working on the till
Our shops are open Monday to Saturday (some open on Sundays too) 9am to 5pm. You can volunteer the hours that suit you, but it would be great if you could support in the shop for at least 3 hours a week.

Trustees (Antenatal Results & Choices)
ARC offers a vital service. In the UK, approximately 700,000 pregnant women are offered some form of screening test every year, such as an ultrasound scan and/or a blood test. As a result, over 20,000 expectant parents will be told that their baby may not be developing as expected. This causes a great deal of anxiety and uncertainty for expectant parents and their families.
ARC offers a unique and important support service that provides impartial information, advice and guidance for parents who are making decisions about antenatal tests and results. We do this throughout their journey - before, during and after tests and our services are openly and widely available to anyone who needs them.
Over the past 40 years, ARC has developed into an expert, well-funded and deeply respected charity. This is a pivotal time in the charity’s evolution as we look to continue growing and deepening our impact across the health sector. There are still so many more parents who could benefit from our work, and this is a great opportunity for new trustees to join the extended team.
Trustee opportunities
We are looking for future-focused and compassionate people to share leadership responsibilities with fellow trustees and support Jane Fisher and her team in delivering our excellent services.
We are open to trustees from all backgrounds. However, we are particularly interested in recruiting new trustees who can help us widen our reach and extend our vital support beyond what we do already via our helpline, publications, parent forums, volunteer network and newsletter. You might come from a communications background, have experience working with underserved communities, or have lived experience with the communities we are trying to reach.
We are looking to our new trustees to bring a unique insight onto the board and who share our vision and values.

Africa Health Organisation (AHO) is an international health organisation for Africa and the UK. Our mission is to provide health and social care. We seek an accountant to support our move to the new financial system handles financial records and tracks financial health of the organisation.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Support the team in choosing the appropriate accounting software and moving from the current system.
- Act as the organisation's financial adviser and accountant
- Provide letters of support requested by banks, funders, regulators like CQC, etc
- Ensure payroll is accurate and records are maintained
- Support management in the accurate production of budgets
- Ensure cash flow is utilised correctly and protect reserves
- Audit financial information for inconsistencies
- Provide tax planning strategies by existing legislation
- Create financial forecasts and analyse risk
Qualifications and Experience
- A minimum of Level 2 Foundation Certificate in Accounting accredited by the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) or a Foundations in Accountancy accredited by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). A degree in accounting would be an added advantage.
- Be registered or be a member of an accounting professional body, e.g. ACCA, AAT, etc
- At least two years of experience in accounting in the voluntary and community sector
- Knowledge and understanding of charity accounts
- Interest and acumen in how a charity functions
- Application of proven methods to common and uncommon accounting problems
- Ability to review one’s work and find and correct any mistakes
- Understanding of the overall impact of their financial decisions
- Proficiency with accounting software
- Strong analytical skills
- Your business must be based in the UK.
