Job description

We invite you to join our community psychotherapy project called COMADRES within the USEMI Racial Trauma Clinic of the Psychosis Therapy Project CIC. COMADRES' aim is to work specifically with Latin-American women in London.

There is an increased demand for 1:1 work in the Latin-American community. At PTP-USEMI, we are equipped to work with psychosis and complex trauma, violence, and migration. Domestic violence is also a common feature of these women's experiences. The need for therapeutic support is huge; the language barrier and socio-economic precarity are significant hurdles.

We are recruiting Spanish/Portuguese-speaking volunteer psychotherapists to join us. This means we are interested working with colleagues who wish to work in the community and receive robust clinical supervision and support via PTP-USEMI. In general terms, we ask for a year of commitment with a caseload of around 2-4 patients. Our approach is psychoanalytic.

We work in rooms in North London and South London, as well as remotely.
