REMIX is a start‑up, youth‑led social mobility charity transforming young lives across London. Based in Shoreditch, we empower young people from disadvantaged backgrounds across London to unlock their potential, build confidence, and develop essential life skills through nurturing mentorship, inspiring role models, and transformative opportunities.

The Role

We are seeking a creative, energetic, and impact‑driven Graphic Designer (Volunteer) to help shape REMIX’s visual presence across digital and print. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who loves designing for purpose, enjoys youth‑focused branding, and wants to help build the look and feel of a movement from the ground up.

You will work closely with the Founder and wider team, to create bold, exciting, and culturally relevant designs that amplify REMIX’s voice across London.

As Graphic Designer (Volunteer), you will:

• Confident using design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Suite, Figma — whatever you prefer).

As a charity we can help thousands of cats each year thanks to the generous donations from our supporters. Raising funds is a key role in our charity, helping to raise the vital funds needed to help more cats and kittens in need.

As a fundraising volunteer, we will support you every step of the way to ensure your time at Cats Protection is a positive and rewarding one. Whatever time you can give really does make a big difference We have lots of exciting activities to choose from for example attending a fundraising event, fundraising online, promoting fundraising activities on social media, handling administrative tasks, or contributing to the development of new fundraising ideas. Whatever your skill set, this role could be perfect for you! 

What can I expect to be doing? 

As a flexible role, you have the choice to be involved in the following: 

• Face-to-face fundraising – organising or helping with our fundraising events, attending supermarket collections or local markets. 

• Distributing collection tins – popping collection tins into local shops and pubs and collecting them when they’re full. 

• Bringing new ideas! - We always love to come up with new ideas to raise funds for cats and we’d love to help bring yours to life. 

• Engaging with your local branches and Fundraising Hub and feeling like an integral part of the team!

How much time is expected of me? 

Our Fundraising Volunteer roles are very flexible, often certain times of the year are busier than others. You can choose your level of involvement to suit your schedule!

Support, guidance and keeping you safe 

At Cats Protection we believe our volunteers should be happy and confident in their roles. We provide support and guidance from our National Cat Centre and through our regional and local volunteer groups and teams. We offer engaging online and face-to-face training, expenses and have policies and processes to help volunteers get the most out of their time with us. 

The wellbeing of our people is important and at Cats Protection we are committed to safeguarding children, adults at risk and all those that we encounter as part of our activities.

We're looking for 2-3 detail-oriented and strategic Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) Specialist Volunteers to help optimise our online presence and ensure our campaigns and content reach the communities that need them most and increase the charity’s search engine results rankings. The SEO Specialist Volunteers will play a key role in enhancing the visibility and searchability of Burning Nights CRPS Support’s website and digital content.

The SEO Specialist Volunteers will be volunteering within the Communications & Marketing Team to implement SEO best practices, conduct keyword research, improve site structure, and analyse web performance – all to ensure our content reaches a broader audience and amplifies the voice of our charity’s supporters online.

Key Tasks and Objectives

• Competitor and Keyword Research: Conduct keyword research to inform website content and campaign strategies.
• On-page optimisation: Optimise existing content for improved search engine ranking (meta tags, meta descriptions, headers, alt text, etc.)
• Monitor and analyse SEO performance using tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and SEMrush.
• Technical SEO Implementation: Identify technical SEO issues and collaborate with content teams to resolve them.
• Backlink and Off-Page SEO: Assist in developing backlink strategies and improving domain authority.
• Support the content team in creating SEO-optimised articles and pages.
• Provide monthly reports on SEO performance and suggest improvements.
• Stay up to date with SEO trends, Google algorithm updates, and emerging best practices.

Key Skills or Qualifications

• Excellent understanding of SEO principles and search engine algorithms.
• Proven experience in conducting SEO audits, strategy development, and implementation.
• Experience using SEO tools such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Ahrefs, or SEMrush or similar platforms.
• Previous experience in digital marketing, content strategy, or technical SEO.
• Ability to perform keyword research and competitor analysis.
• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and content management systems (ideally Django framework).
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written communication and reporting skills.
• Evidence of organisational skills, with good attention to detail.
• The ability to work independently, turning recommendations into action without needing constant oversight.
• A passion for using your skills to support patients and families impacted by a debilitating pain condition and help save lives.

Desirable Experience

• Experience of Google Ads for nonprofits.
• Experience of using Django framework websites.
• Familiarity with accessibility best practices and inclusive web design.
• Experience working with or volunteering for nonprofit / charitable organisations.
• Demonstrable IT skills, particularly Google Drive and Microsoft.
• Good research and information management skills.
• An understanding of the charity sector and/or fundraising.

Training and Support

• Full induction to our organisation, as well as check-ins, ongoing training, supervision and support from the Communications & Marketing Lead Volunteer, Volunteer Co-ordinators, Trustees and the Volunteer Team.
• This a remote volunteering opportunity with regular online team check-ins and collaborative sessions with a supportive, creative, and inclusive team environment.
• Relevant and ongoing training for your volunteer role.
• Regular updates on charity activities.
• Support, advice and guidance from Charity team.
• After 3 months volunteering, all volunteers are eligible for additional training courses (reasonable cost).

Your London Marathon Volunteering Experience - Cheer with Scope!

Be part of the electric atmosphere at the world’s most iconic marathon on Sunday 26 April 2026. We’re looking for enthusSoak up the fantastic energy and be a part of the world’s most iconic marathon on Sunday 26th April 2026. Join Scope in cheering on and motivating our incredible team of over 110 runners, who are all fundraising to help create an equal future with disabled people.  

About this role 

The streets of London will come alive once again on Sunday 26th April for the London Marathon. We can’t wait to get out there and support our amazing runners! And we hope YOU will join us.

Your role will be to help keep our runners going and make them feel super proud of what an amazing thing they’re doing. Clap, yell, cheer - anything that lends our runners the energy they need to go the distance. We’ll have music, banners and flags! By registering to help, you’ll also get a free Scope t-shirt to help you look the part.

Key responsibilities

· To work with the organisation on a remote flexi-time monthly basis to complete tasks (with assistance from our Head of Fundraising & Neurodiversity Awareness Street Clinics with task delegation and organising) which could include the following:

(i) Training: Attend Online training events on Neurodiversity during April, May and September

(ii) Training Delivery: Deliver a 30-minute online training session which would be delivered to the team of Neurodiversity Awareness Event Interns in August. (NOTE: Slides provided but can be adapted as one feels appropriate)

(iii) Event- Neurodiversity Awareness Street Clinic Planning Meeting: Online meet with Neurodiversity Awareness Event Interns and Head of Neurodiversity Awareness Fundraising & Events to plan for London University Neurodiversity Awareness Street Clinics during September and October

(iv) Crowdfunding Planning Meeting: Online meet with Charity Administrators (helping with crowdfunding) and Head of Neurodiversity Awareness Fundraising and Events to plan for remote approaches to crowdfund for the charity during April

(v) Leafletting Planning Meeting: Lead an Online meet with Neurodiversity Awareness Event Interns to plan strategy for their leafletting task during October

(vi) Event- Neurodiversity Awareness Street Clinic: Co-deliver and lead a 1-hour-30-minute In-Person Neurodiversity Awareness Street Clinic in a London University informing attenders of neurodiversity in higher education and signposting to appropriate sources and sectors. This event is also a fundraising event to generate extra funds to the charity. Street clinics will be run in October and November

(vii) Event Debrief Admin: Type up the debrief review of the delivered Neurodiversity Awareness Street Clinic to send to Head of Neurodiversity Awareness Events & Fundraising in March, October and November

(viii) Marketing Team Liaison: Have an online meeting with one of the Marketing Interns to give key highlights and photos from the Street Clinic in October

(ix) Crowdfunding Month: Reach remotely out to friends, family, and/or work colleagues to encourage donations to the charity in May

(x) Neurodiversity Awareness Events & Fundraising Strategy Review Meeting: Work with our Head of Neurodiversity Awareness Events & Fundraising to review our yearly fundraising events & Crowdfunding Strategy Plan in May.

(xi) Grant/Bid Writing Planning and Application: Meet Online with the Head of Neurodiversity Awareness Events & Fundraising to plan proposed foundations/trusts to apply for a grant and With “On-Call” support from the Head of Neurodiversity Awareness Events and Fundraising, submit at least 1 Grant/Bid application for the charity in June
