Do you speak Farsi and are looking to give back to the local community? By joining our team of befrienders, you will support us to reach some of the most isolated adults in the community to reduce their feelings of loneliness, build friendships and provide support for mental wellbeing.

You will support individuals who struggle to communicate with others and help them to reconnect with their local community. You will support to relight a spark in a hobby, interest or encourage individuals to explore and participate in new social activities.

Loneliness and isolation can affect anyone in life, whatever their age or family situation. Official data from the Office for National Statistics shows that rates of depression doubled during the COVID pandemic, and one of the major causes of depression is isolation.

What you will be doing

• Agree a mutual time and frequency to meet in the local community
• To develop and promote a positive relationship with your befriendee
• To encourage your befriendee to engage in social activities and support them in doing so whilst building their confidence

Volunteer for a startup supporting infant health and parental wellbeing ❤️

Doozy Baby
We provide a wearable Kangaroo Care system and app supporting infant health and parental wellbeing.

Doozy Baby addresses the critical challenges faced during the early months of parenthood, including infant discomfort, parental anxiety, and the postpartum knowledge gap. Many newborns suffer from colic and sleep disturbances, while parents often experience high stress and fatigue. Furthermore, a lack of evidence-based guidance frequently prevents fathers and partners from participating equally in caregiving, placing undue pressure on mothers.

The solution is the Doozy Hug, a patented wearable system designed to promote Kangaroo Care—clinically proven skin-to-skin contact that regulates an infant’s temperature and heart rate. This technology mimics a parent's gentle breathing and warmth, comforting the baby while allowing parents to rest. This is paired with the Doozy App, which provides personalized insights, activity tracking, and practical guidance on early development. User Testing & Researcher

Deliverables:

• Coordinate and support user testing for the first 5 Doozy Hug prototypes with selected parents.
• Develop simple test materials: user guidelines, observation sheets, and parent feedback forms.
• Conduct parent interviews (in-person or virtual) to collect insights on comfort, safety, usability, and support for parental rest.
• Organize the feedback into structured reports with clear recommendations for product improvements.
• Support the product team in prioritizing actionable refinements.

Skills Needed:

• Background in Engineering, UX/user research, human-centered design, or product testing.
• Strong interpersonal and interviewing skills, especially with new parents.
• Ability to interpret qualitative data and turn it into actionable insights.
• Empathy and sensitivity when working with parents of newborns.

Time Commitment: 5-8 hours per week

Social Media & Digital Marketing Assistant

Deliverables:

• Develop and manage a consistent rolling social media calendar.
• Create high-quality content (reels, posts, carousels) focused on Kangaroo Care, postpartum care, parental rest, and the Doozy Hug for LinkedIn, Instagram Tiktok.
• Drive awareness and engagement in the lead-up to our Doozy App launch (Jan/Feb) and ongoing product updates.
• Improve visibility and engagement within our parent community in the Netherlands and across Europe.
• Track basic analytics and propose content improvements based on performance.

Skills Needed:

• Social media management experience across Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn.
• Strong storytelling, copywriting, and basic design/video editing skills.
• Understanding of parenting/well-being audiences is a plus.
• Creativity, consistency, and ability to work semi-independently.

Time Commitment: 5–7 hours per week
Duration: 8–12 months (Jan/Feb 2026 until the end of 2026)

Are you an enthusiastic and skilled funding grant writer? Be a part of our small but committed team as a pro-active grant writer volunteer for a small national charity supporting people affected by a debilitating pain condition.

We are looking for 2 skilled grant writer volunteers who can take the lead in researching appropriate funds and writing grant bids to help us continue offering our support services and resources and helping us create new programmes and services to support patients and their families who have been affected by a poorly understood chronic condition; Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS).

As our Grant Writer you will be responsible for identifying appropriate grant opportunities, and managing the grant development and proposal process from research to submitting grant applications with any supporting documents.

As our grant writer, you will:

• Identify appropriate sources of funding where we fit their criteria 
• Write appropriately tailored grant/funding bids that meet funders’ interests and requirements and to write any additional documents in support of funding bids
• Help develop a Trusts and Foundations strategy to help create and maintain strong and diverse income that meets Burning Nights CRPS Support’s funding needs
• Create a calendar of grant deadlines and track submitted funding proposals
• Help us develop a case for support 
• Report on grant usage and impact
• Review all grant/bid feedback and ensure knowledge is shared, so that learning informs us for future approaches to grants

Treasures Foundation supports vulnerable women recovering from addiction, trauma, mental health and the criminal justice system. We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic Trustee Treasurer to join our board of Trustees.

Role summary

•    To ensure that Treasures Foundation works in line with its governing documents and ethos, putting the needs of the beneficiaries at the forefront.
• To safeguard the good name and values of Treasures.
•  To promote decisions and take action to help support the financial stability of Treasures.
• Committed to ensuring highest standards of governance in policies and practice related to employee relations, recruitment, retention, reward and recognition as well as staff and trustee development.
• Ensure long-term strategic oversight of the organisation’s personnel and staffing requirements in relation to the overarching goals of the charity.

Main responsibilities

• Present financial reports to the board in a format that helps the board understand the charity’s financial position
• Advise the board on how to carry out its financial responsibilities
• Work with professional advisors
• Oversee the preparation and scrutiny of annual accounts

Time commitment and location

The board meet once, every three months for 2 hours. Any other involvement would add up to about 8 hours per month. The meetings take place virtually on zoom. Enthusiastic, hands-on volunteers needed to help provide food to the community. A key role, you will work at the main hub of the food bank and help the food service run as smoothly as possible. An exciting opportunity to make a real, immediate impact to those in need of support.

About Bounds Green Food Bank: 

Open since June 2020, we serve over 1,500 children and adults in the community. We are committed to improving lives by providing food and essential household items to build a healthy, hunger-free tomorrow. We strive to promote social inclusion by supporting people who find themselves in a crisis situation where they need assistance to feed themselves and their families.

The role: 

• Help with setting up the food service and replenishing goods when needed, including decanting and repacking items.

• Warmly welcome guests, serving them the appropriate number of items depending on their household size and needs.

• Follow food bank policies including Health and Safety procedures e.g. wearing gloves when handling fresh food and lifting boxes safely. 

• Keep the hall tidy throughout the food service e.g. tidying away boxes and neatly restocking items.
