Join Vault Youth Zone as a Volunteer Youth Worker and help create a fun, welcoming, and engaging space for young people aged 8–19 (up to 25 for young people with additional needs). Volunteers support the Recreation & Engagement team in delivering activities such as pool, table tennis, board games, challenges, group discussions, themed projects, and social activities.

As a volunteer, you will help young people build confidence, make friends, develop new skills, and feel part of a positive community. You will encourage participation, promote our values, and act as a positive role model while working alongside our team of youth workers.

No previous youth work experience is required. Ongoing support and training will be provided.

Help young people feel safe, supported, and inspired. Build confidence, resilience, and social connections among young people. Create positive experiences that encourage personal development and wellbeing. Support an inclusive environment where young people can have fun, express themselves, and develop life skills.

You will need to have the following skills in order to participate:

Global Health Access Trust is looking for a Governance & Charity Administration Volunteer to help strengthen the records, policies and administrative foundations of an international charitable organisation working towards registration.

This opportunity would suit someone with governance, legal, charity administration or senior administrative experience who enjoys bringing order, accuracy and follow-through to important organisational work.

Global Health Access Trust (GHAT) develops, funds and coordinates defined projects that advance health, relieve illness and preserve life for the public benefit. Good governance, safeguarding, accountability and responsible stewardship sit at the centre of how that work is developed and delivered.

What you could contribute

• Help maintain governance policies, registers and organisational records
• Support preparation and organisation of governance documentation
• Help maintain accurate meeting records and action points
• Track agreed actions and follow-up
• Support orderly document management and version control
• Help ensure governance information is complete, current and easy to retrieve
• Work with the Trust team to strengthen practical administrative processes

Who this could suit

This opportunity may suit people with experience in governance, charity administration, legal administration, company secretarial work, compliance or senior administrative roles.

We particularly welcome methodical, discreet people who are comfortable handling confidential information, maintaining accurate records and working within agreed processes.

Strong written communication, attention to detail and dependable follow-through are important.

The opportunity can usually be undertaken remotely from any country and the commitment is ongoing and flexible.

Purpose of the Voluntary role:

Evergreen purpose is to promote healthy ageing and positive attitudes towards older people; seeking relevant ways to honour old age and if needed, to serve through Advocacy, Friendship and practical support. Our vision is for Stamford, the Deepings, Bourne and the surrounding villages to be seen as a great place to grow old. Evergreen is very excited to be launching at the beginning of October a new group FAB Fitness (Flexibility Aerobics Balance) aimed at 55+ who would like to begin exercising regularly. As well as the fitness class there will be an opportunity for attendees to socialise and have refreshments at the end of the class. The class will be led by a trained member of Evergreen staff. This is an exciting opportunity for the Volunteer – Fitness Class Assistant to learn new skills and help older people on their fitness journey and have fun too!

Key Responsibilities:

• Welcome attendees to the group
• Ensure attendees sign attendance register
• Help set up equipment
• Help set up and serve refreshments
• To take and record payment for the class
• Follow all Health & Safety Guidance

Key relationships:

Working effectively with other volunteers, attendees of the group, the Social Engagement Lead & Volunteer Services Manager.

Skills, Qualifications and experience required:

• Excellent Communication skills
• Able to build positive relationships with group attendees, Evergreen staff and volunteers.
• A friendly, sociable, sensitive and professional manner and approach to our attendees
• An interest in fitness and healthy ageing.

Training and support required:

Evergreen Induction Training (half day Saturday)

Mandatory Online Safeguarding training

First Aid training

Introduction training sessions to Fitness Class Assistant

Invitation to attend relevant training courses as and when they are arranged

On going support from Volunteer Services Manager

Please note that Evergreen only progress applications for volunteering from those who are within safe and easy commute of Stamford, Bourne and Market Deeping.

Our Gardener Volunteers support our homes by helping to maintain their outdoor spaces through weeding, pruning and planting, so that the people we support can enjoy spending time in a beautiful environment. 

We are currently looking for volunteer gardeners for one of our services, who can support with the following tasks:

• Create planters

• Provide general maintenance of our gardens

• Watering, planting, weeding and pruning

• Maintaining flower beds

• Creating/improving/maintaining our sensory garden spaces

Skills required 

In order to become one of our gardener volunteers you will be:

• Knowledgeable about plants

• Confident using gardening equipment

• Punctual and reliable

• Friendly and approachable.

Training required for this role (all delivered vis e-learning)

• Manual Handling

• How to be Eye Care Aware

• Fire Safety

• Infection Control

• Data Security and Confidentiality

• First Aid

All these courses will take approximately 40-60 minutes, apart from the First Aid which is 2 hours.
