WCCM seeks to appoint an experienced, creative, and highly motivated Grant and Major Donor Fundraising Manager to lead fundraising and grant management across a global organisation dedicated to the teaching of Christian Meditation. Working to the Executive Director, you will interact with our decentralised finance, marketing and communications staff and volunteers.  Together, you will nurture Major Donor relationships and create and manage appropriate donor stewardship schemes and rationalise our income streams. You’ll ensure grant reporting and management is kept on track whilst developing targeted proposals for new funding from sympathetic donors in the arena of Trusts and foundations.  You will work to support both our teaching and resourcing of meditation and the running of our retreat centre in Bonnevaux, near Poitiers in France. An excellent writer with excellent financial and budgeting skills, you will be adept at pulling together relevant, succinct and compelling information for our donor reports and bids. You’ll work with communications staff to develop impactful donor communications which enhance our accountability and inspire renewed major donations.  You will have a demonstrable track record in winning grants as well as in the stewardship of major donors.  Occasional trips to France. • Building our alumni community through a programme of engagement, events and communications that enhance our community engagement, identifying opportunities to maximise the impact within the context of Advancement and Business School strategies.
• Increasing the strategic impact of alumni engagement on research and student experience objectives, particularly through volunteering and advocacy.

Working with the team, you will play a critical role in adding strategic value to the Business School from alumni engagement, and developing how Business School engagement, content and activity can benefit the student and alumni community more widely. You will also be delivering against the strategic needs of the wider University, as we enhance our engagement of alumni and supporters (donors and volunteers). Person Specification

You will have significant experience of managing relationships and influencing senior stakeholders, both internally and externally, to deliver value-adding projects and initiatives. You will have experience of developing strategies, and translating these into activity, maximising events, communications and face-to-face relationship building activity to achieve strategic aims. The Philharmonia Orchestra is seeking an organised, analytical and proactive Development Research and Operations Manager (DROM) to support the growth in fundraising activity of a busy and ambitious orchestra. The post-holder will deliver high-quality philanthropic research, pipeline and CRM management, the creation of donor briefings for individual, corporate and trust supporters, and horizon scanning for new and future opportunities. 

As the department’s research and CRM lead, the DROM will generate prospect research on those suggested by senior volunteers (Board, Development Board etc.) and those identified in our database, Tessitura. They will support fundraisers across giving streams to create engagement and cultivation plans, and act as the pipeline management champion for the team. The DROM will support fundraisers to ensure activity and contacts is logged consistently, working closely with the Head of Development to monitor KPIs, track and record income and maintain accurate donor and donation records. 

This position is central to ensuring that frontline fundraisers can focus on income generation, supported by robust operational processes, accurate data, and high-quality research. 

This role reports to the Head of Development and will work closely with the Senior Development Manager (Philanthropy) and Director of Development. The work of the Development team is actively supported by the Philharmonia’s Development Board. 

Key Responsibilities 

Research and Pipeline Development:

• Identify, qualify and research prospective major supporters, including individuals, corporates and trusts

• Prepare tailored profiles and high-quality briefings to staff and senior volunteers for meetings and events

• Maintain and refine the prospect pipeline, ensuring clear pipeline management stages and next actions for prospects

• Conduct due diligence research as required for donor engagement

• Implement improvements to pipeline management process 

• Track sector trends and philanthropic activity to inform prospecting and cultivation

CRM, Data and Insights:

• Be the Tessitura CRM and financial process (such as Direct Debits and Gift Aid) lead for the Development team, maintaining accurate, timely, and GDPR-compliant records

• Develop and implement systems, workflows and reporting tools to support a data-led fundraising approach such as in membership acquisition

• Produce regular income and pipeline reports that support departmental planning and forecasting

• Generate guest lists and attendee profiles for events

Department Operations:

• Support the Head of Development with the timely production of proposals, reports and other donor communications

• Work with the Learning and Engagement department to identify and promote opportunities that support fundraising, such as project visits, project pipeline and evaluations. 

• With colleagues, ensure the smooth scheduling and preparation for donor meetings and project visits

• Support the Head of Development and Director of Development in preparation of materials for Board, Development Board and other strategic meetings.

• Reporting and Administration:

• Support the Head of Development in regular moves management and revenue reporting across the department

• Create and maintain updated gift processing workflows including invoices, bank transfers, reconciliation and reporting

• Ensure the highest standard of data capture, financial processes and record-keeping, consistent with GDPR and best practice

• Ensure accurate and up-to-date records and fulfilment of donors’ accreditation and recognition requirements

• Represent the Philharmonia at events and externally when required

• Support the work of the Department and other duties reasonably required by the Philharmonia

Skills and Qualifications

Essential:

• Understanding of different fundraising income streams and the donor cultivation cycle

• Experience of philanthropic prospect research and data analysis

• High levels of organisational skills and attention to detail

• Understanding and experience of using a CRM database (Tessitura is an advantage)

• Understanding of fundraising and data protection regulation (including HMRC Guidelines, Gift Aid, GDPR and the Fundraising Regulator)

• Experience in handling financial and transactional data, and producing financial reports

• Ability to manage multiple and competing priorities

• High-level of IT literacy, including the Microsoft 365 suite.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)

Job Title: Deputy Service Manager

Location: Based across 4 residential services based in Croydon (11 minute walk from East Croydon station) you will need to be able to travel between sites during the night shift to provide full managerial support. Salary: £30,200

Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week, supporting the night team who predominantly work Monday to Sunday 20:00 - 08:00, you will work within these hours, as well as daytime hours to attend trainings and meetings. You will also take part in our out of hours on call rota.

About the role

We're looking for a Deputy Service Manager to join our residential service based in Croydon. You will support the Service Manager to provide leadership and line management to a team of Night Recovery Workers and Night Concierge which totals around 10. You will be present to ensure a quality service is delivered 24 hours a day, working closely with the day teams to ensure quality handovers. 

You will provide general leadership to the team so they feel empowered to be productive and perform well within their roles, supporting a service which focuses on Forensic Mental Health for 27 people across 4 sites in Croydon. The teams support our residents with person centred support to empower them to overcome their personal barriers with their mental health, and have greater independence and fulfilled living. 

Some key responsibilities include:

• Line Management including providing support and guidance, conducting support and supervisions, and ensuring duties are carried out effectively
• Support with the operational delivery of the service
• Risk Management ownership, ensuring processes and policies are followed

About the role:

As Centre Manager you will take overall responsibility for the site, its buildings, grounds, vehicles, and on-site team, ensuring our centres are safe, compliant, and welcoming. You will lead staff and volunteers, inspire strong teamwork, and play a key role in delivering exceptional residential breaks for children and young people.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

• Overseeing the daily operations of the centre, ensuring compliance with Health & Safety, safeguarding, and risk management.
• Leading and managing the on-site team (Housekeeping, Maintenance, Catering, Team Leaders, and Volunteers).
• Managing budgets, resources, facilities, and contracts to ensure efficiency and sustainability.
• Developing and delivering land and centre management plans to ensure our facilities are safe, welcoming, and environmentally sustainable.
• Ensuring children enjoy nutritious meals, exciting activities, and a safe environment during their stays.
• Raising the charity’s profile within the local community, encouraging third-party use of our facilities and supporting local partnerships.
• Producing quarterly centre-based reports for senior leadership on H&S, incidents, and development projects.

About you:

We are looking for an experienced Centre Manager with strong leadership and operational skills, as well as a genuine passion for making a difference in the lives of children and young people.

You will have the following essential skills and experience:

• Excellent understanding of Health & Safety, safeguarding, and child-centred activity planning.
• Proven experience in facilities, land, or fleet management.
• Strong leadership and organisational skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a multi-disciplinary team.
• Financial awareness with experience managing budgets and resources.
• Confident communicator, problem solver, and decision-maker.
• A commitment to sustainability and green practices.

It would be desirable if you also have:

• A recognised Facilities Management or H&S qualification.
• Experience of working in child-focused environments.
• Food Safety Level 3 qualification.
• Previous budget management experience and commercial acumen.

Job Title: Cathedral Safeguarding Officer

Reports to: Canon Precentor

Key Relationships: As part of their role, the CSO will work closely with the Cathedral Safeguarding Lead (Canon Precentor), the Diocesan Safeguarding Team including the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisory Panel (DSAP) and the Diocesan Safeguarding Executive Committee (SEC); volunteer cathedral safeguarding representatives (CRs); all other relevant stakeholders including Director of Music, Chapter, Residentiary Canons, staff, the Senior Leadership Team and Cathedral Safeguarding Committee. In addition, the post-holder will work with all relevant external agencies, e.g., CofE National Safeguarding Team (NST), Police and Probation services, local authorities, Domestic Abuse Services.

Start Date: ASAP

Salary: £30,000 (£50,000 pro-rata)

Hours of Work: 21 hours per week – over 3 days

Role Overview

The role of the Cathedral Safeguarding Officer is to maintain and build on the strong culture of safeguarding at Southwark Cathedral and carry out an effective safeguarding role as a key visible member of the Cathedral team. The role holder will promote awareness and understanding throughout the Cathedral community (staff, volunteers and worshippers) of the needs of children and vulnerable adults and actively promote the philosophy that their interests are paramount.

The successful applicant will be responsible for the development and implementation of Cathedral safeguarding arrangements, good practice, policy and training. The Cathedral Safeguarding Officer will make sure that safeguarding risks are appropriately managed and ensure that the Cathedral is applying any emerging national policies, procedures and best practice so that our ways of working continue to remain current.

NB: The successful applicant will play a leading role in the preparation for the upcoming INEQE safeguarding audit of Southwark Cathedral and Southwark Diocese scheduled June 2026. They will be supported in this aim by the appointed INEQE action group.

The role carries responsibility for safeguarding casework, including ensuring that allegations of abuse are promptly and appropriately handled, and where appropriate referred to the statutory authorities. Further, the role holder will effectively communicate and engage with survivors and victims of abuse.

The Cathedral Safeguarding Officer will advise the Cathedral on all safeguarding matters ensuring that all advice is in line with the law, government guidance and national policy and guidance from the House of Bishops. They will be supported in their role by three experienced volunteer cathedral safeguarding representatives who offer knowledge and experience of the cathedral. They will work collaboratively with peers in the Diocese and the National Safeguarding Team.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Key Duties

1. To lead the Cathedral’s work on the following National Standards:

· Organisational culture, leadership and capacity - Church bodies have safe and healthy cultures, effective leadership, resourcing and scrutiny arrangements necessary to deliver high-quality safeguarding practices and outcomes.

· Prevention - Church bodies have in place a planned range of measures which together are effective in preventing abuse in their context.

· Responding to and managing risk - Risk assessments, safety plans and associated processes are of a high quality and result in positive outcomes. The assessment and management of risk is underpinned by effective partnership working.

· Victims and survivors - Victims and survivors experience the timeliness and quality of Church bodies' responses to disclosures, and their subsequent support, as positively meeting their needs, including their search for justice and helping their healing process.

· Learning, supervision and support – All those engaged in safeguarding-related activity in Church bodies receive the type and level of learning, professional development, support and supervision necessary to respond to safeguarding situations, victims and survivors, and respondents, effectively.

2. To provide in person safeguarding training for Cathedral volunteers & staff.

3. To work closely with the Director of Music and the Sub-Dean to ensure that the children and young people in the cathedral choirs and Sunday school are effectively safeguarded

4. To be responsible for recording, investigating and managing all Safeguarding concerns;

5. To assist the CSL with production of monthly and annual safeguarding reports and to attend Chapter (as required) and Committee Meetings (as directed).

6. To assist in the production of risk assessments, policies and procedures where there are safeguarding aspects to them.

7. To provide advice in relation to obtaining criminal record checks (DBSs) for staff and volunteers.

8. To work collaboratively with the National Safeguarding Team (NST) and other Church of England Safeguarding Officers and attend national safeguarding events and activities as required.

9. To engage in professional supervision and quality assurance provided by the relevant NST Regional Safeguarding Lead.

Other responsibilities:

10. To participate in performance reviews and appraisals

11. To ensure that professional skills are regularly updated through participation in training and development activities

12. Any other duties and responsibilities as may be required by Chapter.

Location: The role is primarily based at the Crisis Brent Skylight in Harlesden ( 1-2 Bank Buildings, High St, NW10 4LT), some local travel may be required.

About the role

This is an exciting new role in Crisis to lead on the practical development of Brent Council’s neighbourhood working approach in Harlesden and feed into Crisis’s new strategy, building on our experience of place-based work in Brent, developing new approaches to preventing homelessness and income insecurity and leading on local system.

The postholder will be line managed by Crisis Brent Skylight Director and is supported by Brent Council’s Head of Place Leadership.

You will:

• Implement a new, place-based vision for neighbourhood working which shifts away from traditional, transactional approaches towards more sustained, relational working with residents at risk of homelessness or living with income insecurity.
• Coordinate and support a co-located and co-working integrated neighbourhood team, consisting of statutory, health and voluntary sector partners, as well as community groups and residents to meet locally agreed strategic objectives, by providing a whole system, joined up experience for individuals, which is preventative, proactive, person-centred and relational.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with a range of stakeholders fostering a learning culture which is adaptable, collaborative and flexible.
• Develop local systems to support Brent Council’s radical place making approach by setting up new services and cross service teams, including contribution to the development of an operating and outcomes measurement approach.
• Utilise learning from the RPL lead approach, the integrated neighbourhood team and casework delivered on upstream prevention to feed into Crisis strategy and place-based approaches.
• Support and influencing place-based and data-led change

About you
