Do you have experience supporting children with SEN? Harris Primary Academy Peckham Park are seeking to appoint an exceptional, experienced qualified teacher as SENCO.

MAIN AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
The purpose of your role will be:
- To play a key role within the Academy to ensure that all pupils with additional needs make accelerated progress in their learning and achieve to the very best of their ability.
- To directly contribute to pupils’ accelerated progress through high quality sustained teaching of intervention support based upon a detailed knowledge of their specific needs.
- To have high expectations, lead by example, promoting the federation/academy vision, values and aims.
- To be a member of the School Leadership Team (SLT) and contribute to the strategic development and direction of the academy in line with the Academy Improvement Plan.
- To provide leadership and direction in supporting meeting the needs of children with SEND.
- To take a lead role in monitoring and school self-evaluation regarding children with SEND.
- To provide guidance and support to the support staff to achieve and maintain a good quality of provision for pupils with SEND.
- To analyse assessment data from a variety of sources to inform future whole school planning and resourcing.
- To assist the SLT in undertaking delegated professional duties.

We are working in partnership with Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust to deliver the Bromley Mental Health Hub. This forms part of the transformation of mental health services in the London borough of Bromley under the NHS Long Term Plan.
The service brings together the expertise of local primary, secondary and voluntary sector mental health care providers with the aim of providing flexible, holistic and integrated services for adults with mental health problems. The integrated team provides brief intervention support to people with mental health problems within a primary care and community mental health setting, helping people develop their independence, self-management skills and achieve their recovery goals.
We are looking for a full time Peer Support Worker to provide recovery-orientated one to one and group-based peer support to people with common and long-term mental health problems. The successful candidate will work with clients to improve their confidence and resilience, reduce social isolation and help them integrate further into the local community, whilst also providing general support for the day-to-day self-management of their client’s mental health.
You will use your own mental health lived experience to build good rapport with your clients and ensure your approach is meaningful. You will need to be organised, resilient, flexible, and empathetic in supporting clients to achieve their goals. The role will include:
- Providing one to one and group based recovery-orientated peer support for mental health
- Empowering and supporting clients to access and navigate healthcare, wellbeing and community services
- Working with the Peer Support Coordinators to plan and develop content and resources for recovery-based workshops and peer support groups
- Working with the Peer Support Coordinators to induct, train and support Peer Support Volunteers
- Promoting understanding of the principles and practice of peer support
- Working collaboratively with hub staff, partners & stakeholders across the borough of Bromley

The Role

About the role
This is an exciting new role in Crisis to lead on the practical development of Brent Council’s neighbourhood working approach in Harlesden and feed into Crisis’s new strategy, building on our experience of place-based work in Brent, developing new approaches to preventing homelessness and income insecurity and leading on local system.
The postholder will be line managed by Crisis Brent Skylight Director and is supported by Brent Council’s Head of Place Leadership.
You will:
- Implement a new, place-based vision for neighbourhood working which shifts away from traditional, transactional approaches towards more sustained, relational working with residents at risk of homelessness or living with income insecurity.
- Coordinate and support a co-located and co-working integrated neighbourhood team, consisting of statutory, health and voluntary sector partners, as well as community groups and residents to meet locally agreed strategic objectives, by providing a whole system, joined up experience for individuals, which is preventative, proactive, person-centred and relational.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with a range of stakeholders fostering a learning culture which is adaptable, collaborative and flexible.
- Develop local systems to support Brent Council’s radical place making approach by setting up new services and cross service teams, including contribution to the development of an operating and outcomes measurement approach.
- Utilise learning from the RPL lead approach, the integrated neighbourhood team and casework delivered on upstream prevention to feed into Crisis strategy and place-based approaches.

About you

About the role
