Key Responsibilities

Spear Foundation

• Recruit young people onto the course and prepare them to engage.
• Prepare and deliver coaching sessions for up to 15 young people to transform their attitudes and readiness to step into the world of work.
• Work with volunteers to deliver one-to-one weekly sessions to check-in on individual progress, guide and motivate them.
• Build relationships with the young people and keep them engaged.

Spear Career

• Maintain contact with trainees and continue relationships with them to keep track of their progress into employment and encourage them.
• Maintain records through data gathering and data entry into Salesforce.

Relationship management

• Build and manage relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including referrers, local businesses and other organisations.
• Participate in job fairs, run taster sessions, recruit and support volunteers for mock interview days, and welcome visitors to the centre.

Church community

• Fully engage with the Trinity and St Paul’s staff teams, including participation in staff prayers, socials and retreat days.
• Be an advocate for the Spear Programme within the life of the church, including the recruitment of volunteers.
• Encourage and build prayer support for Spear.
• Help facilitate connections between the life of the church and trainees (past and present)

This is a new and exciting opportunity for an experienced, hands-on Business Development Manager to join a growing social enterprise at a pivitol moment of national growth. You’ll lead on securing income through contracts, tenders, grants, and traded services, taking full ownership of the business development function from prospecting to proposal, and from pitching to handover.

This is not an entry level role. We’re looking for someone who already knows how to build and run a successful business development function and is excited to apply that experience in a purpose-led context. You’ll be leading the full income generating process from identifying opportunities and pursing them to writing compelling bids, building relationships, and converting leads into sustainable revenue. You will also be comfortable with the administration that comes with working with funders.

We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate Store Manager to join Barnardo's on a Full Time, Permanent Basis.

As a Store Manager you will manage the day to day running of our Kirkby Stephen Store, leading a team of colleagues to maximise store sales and profits. By doing so you will play a crucial role in raising the funds for the amazing services and support Barnardo's provides for children, young people, parents, and carers across the UK.

About the role:

This role is based in Ashford, Kent and is offered on a hybrid basis, working from home, the office and also requires regular travel travel across Kent and Medway.

As the Operations Manager for our Community Team you will be responsible for the daily activities of a diverse group of staff working with people who have experienced different crime types, reporting to the Area Manager.

You will need to demonstrate your ability to lead across many issues whilst retaining a focus on service delivery and quality outcomes from the work that we do.

This job is a busy one so you will need to manage competing priorities, very different personalities, challenge respectfully and have the resilience to bounce back when things do not work out as you would have wanted.

You will need:

• To be able to work independently against an agreed plan
• To remain empathetic whilst making sure staff are holding safe but challenging caseloads
• Able to work in partnership with other agencies and with team members.
• Resilience. This is a busy job with multiple demands on your time so you will need to remain focused on what your priorities are.

Job Title: Known internally as Relationship Manager (South Coast)

Location: Home-based covering South Coast of England. This role covers Hampshire, Sussex, Surrey or Dorset. Churches Conservation Trust (CCT) is the national charity caring for historic churches at risk. As the operator of the third largest heritage estate in charitable ownership in the UK, our 356 historic churches include examples of irreplaceable architecture, archaeology and art from 1,000 years of English history.

CCT has an international award-winning reputation in heritage conservation and regeneration. All churches in our care are listed, mostly Grade I and II*, and some are Scheduled Ancient Monuments.

Overall job purpose

The future of CCT’s outstanding collection of historic churches depends on us supporting communities around our churches caring for, opening, using and raising money for them. The Lead Local Community Officer will play the prime role in ensuring that local people are engaged, recruited, trained and supported.

The Lead Local Community Officer will lead the regional team of Local Community Officers to support, recruit, liaise with and develop volunteer and community supporters to care, open, use and raise money for the CCT’s collection of historic churches.

They will head the Church Planning process for the region, ensuring every church maintains and develops their co-created Church Plan.
