Role overview

The main duties of the post

· Overall strategic development and management programmes for adults at the Community Hub

· Collaborative work with and engagement of project partners and other agencies in the borough

· Ensuring Monitoring and evaluation takes place

1. Overall strategic development and management of the Community Hub Programme

Manage and develop the Community Hub providing activities, personal development opportunities and information for refugees and people seeking asylum.

Line manage ESOL Coordinator with supervision and appraisals supporting their CPD

Work with the ESOL Coordinator and volunteers to develop activities and client engagement within the project.

Plan and ensure delivery of short courses, workshops and events either in house or facilitated by partners.  Promote local activity and encourage client participation in line with the requirements of the Big Lottery funding.

Oversee project activities in all venues ensuring practical and active implementation of all policies and procedures, particularly Health and Safety, Risk Assessments, and Safeguarding 

Work with Volunteer Coordinator to support and supervise volunteers to a high standard.

Manage Venue bookings

2. Collaborative work with and engagement of project partners and other agencies in the borough

Source and work with project partners on successful delivery of activities and events within the project and promotion of wider activities in the borough

Build relationships to facilitate client progression and promote the organisation

Work with the volunteer coordinator to use local networks and food resvue partnerships to ensure the provision of Food and refreshments

3 Monitoring and evaluation

Ensure up to date records are maintained on the RAK database

Maintain and further develop Monitoring and Evaluation, recording participation and achievements implementing rigorous consultation processes for all participants, regular surveys and clients focus group activities

Prepare reports for the funders

4 General Responsibilities within the organisation

Team responsibilities including attending staff meetings, dealing sensitively with service users and facilitating internal and external referrals.

Work within the team to deliver a holistic service for clients.

Work within the team to undertake duties to ensure a clean and safe working environment.

Represent RAK at external meetings as agreed with the CEO, attend training, keep

up-to-date with changes in the asylum system.

Undertake any other duties that may reasonably be required.

We are recruiting for a Peer Support Lead: 

The Hepatitis C Trust has developed projects nationally whereby peers use their lived experience of injecting drug use and hepatitis C, to provide education and training to increase awareness of hepatitis C, reduce stigma, and promote access to testing and treatment for people living with hepatitis C. 

Do you have personal experience of drug use or hepatitis C? Do you have experience working in drug services, health inclusion services or with volunteers? We are looking for a passionate peer lead with good communication and organisational skills. We require a reasonable standard of education and welcome creativity and innovation in all our work. 

Working as part of a growing team, this post will continue the development and delivery of the Hepatitis C peer project, recruiting and supporting volunteer peers across Bristol and surrounding areas. Working in partnership with hepatitis C clinical teams, drug and alcohol services and homeless service providers, the post will coordinate delivery of educational workshops, hepatitis C testing in community settings, ensure that service users are referred and supported through hepatitis C treatment and care. 

This post will require extensive travel across the region and it’s desirable the post holder holds a clean driving licence and have their own vehicle for work related travel.

CAVA provides infrastructure support to the Voluntary, Community, Faith and Social Enterprise sector across Warwickshire and Solihull. Area Managers at CAVA

Area Managers work as part of the Senior Management Team and are key ambassadors for the organisation and the wider VCFSE. They provide leadership and accountability for the work of CAVA, overseeing and growing our position and portfolio of work as the VCFSE Infrastructure organisation for both Solihull and Warwickshire. The Area Managers also work in partnership with the Board of Trustees on matters related to strategy and governance.

The Opportunity

The Area Manager will provide management and leadership of CAVA’s Solihull portfolio, which is at an evolving and exciting phase of integration across the Borough.

The Area Manager has a key role in leading and shaping CAVA’s presence in Solihull, working strategically alongside the Board and CAVA’s Senior Management Team, to lead the organisation into its next era of growth and delivery.

The Area Manager has a key role and responsibility representing voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise groups and organisations, providing a strong and confident voice on behalf of the sector as we work alongside partners from the Public, NHS and the wider Integrated Care System (ICS).

The Opportunity

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Partnerships Manager to join our small and dynamic team. This new role will support the Head of Partnerships and wider WFN team in delivering our fundraising strategy, stewarding high-value donor relationships, and unlocking new opportunities for income growth. 

The Partnerships Manager will work directly with some of WFN’s existing portfolio of 30 Major Donors made up primarily of Trusts, Family Foundations and High-Net-Worth Individual (HNWI) supporters, with some Corporates. The Partnerships Manager will maintain close professional relationships with supporters that are bespoke and require excellent interpersonal skills, with most meetings taking place in-person, in central London.

We are currently looking for a motivated individual to join our team as a Relief Shop Manager. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our charity shops, which play a vital role in supporting hospice services through fundraising and engagement with the local community.

Role Overview

The Relief Shop Manager will be responsible for overseeing the management of the shop in the absence of the Shop Manager, ensuring that the shop runs smoothly and meets its financial goals. The role requires a proactive approach to store management and a passion for working in a retail environment that supports charitable efforts.

Location and Salary

Location: Various locations across Essex
Salary: £23,874 per year
Contract: Permanent, Full-time
Hours: 37.5 hours a week, including weekends and holidays

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the daily operation of the shop, including opening and closing procedures.
• Maximise sales potential by ensuring excellent customer service and presentation standards.
• Support volunteer recruitment, training, and management to ensure they are motivated and equipped to perform their roles.
• Maintain accurate financial records, including daily cash handling and banking procedures.
• Implement marketing and promotional initiatives to increase footfall and sales.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations to maintain a safe environment for customers and staff.
• Coordinate stock management, including sorting, pricing, and displaying donated goods.

Skills and Experience

• Prior experience in a retail environment, charity shop experience is desirable but not essential.
• Strong organisational skills with an ability to multitask effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with volunteers, customers, and the management team.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team.
• Proficient in basic computer applications such as Microsoft Office.
• A passion for the charity sector and making a positive impact in the community.
• Knowledge or experience of EPOS

Volunteering for Health is a NHS funded programme to build the capacity and capability of organisations and local health and care systems in England, through the development of volunteering infrastructure. It aims to realise the potential of volunteering in improving the experience and outcomes of people using our health and care systems.

Following a successful bid by Liverpool Charity and Voluntary Services (LCVS) as part of a partnership with NHS University Hospitals of Liverpool Group (UHL Group), NHS Cheshire and Merseyside, and Liverpool City Council we are recruiting for a Volunteering for Health Development Officer to support the partnership in its intention to:

• Establish a robust volunteering infrastructure to address identified health needs and priorities
• Strengthen the capacity of VCFSE (Voluntary Community Faith Social Enterprise) organisations to engage with health volunteering
• Promote collaboration between VCFSE, and statutory organisations to improve health outcomes

The Volunteering for Health Development Officer will support the development and delivery of coherent and sustainable volunteering infrastructure in Liverpool, particularly to grow the level of health and wellbeing linked volunteering opportunities across Liverpool.

Interested in managing the CRM database of an International Development Charity? You will help deliver continuous improvement to the CRM system and data quality within it. You will need to be able to effectively analyse and configure the CRM system, adding new fields as and when approved via a change approval process.

The Role

We have recently launched our new CRM based on Microsoft Dynamics 365, and are looking for a CRM Manager to join an end user Charity in Central London. The Charity has a direct front end CRM user base of around 30 staff. It also has a power platforms bespoke portal for between 64-120 regional staff to login to, who contribute to the membership programme, creating new memberships and managing the renewals process which happens each year. It also has a power portals Donation portal which directly integrates to Dynamics 365 and Business central. This role is to support our internal staff (30) and external Staff (120) with the day to day activities ensuring business processes are fit for purpose and seek out possible improvements in the long term roadmap.

Key Functional Areas

• Data architecture– Lead on the review and structure of data on CRM.
• Systems Governance - Ensuring system best practices are followed, producing dashboards to identify common errors to follow up with users offering tailored training for common issues.
• Training and Support - training of new members, ongoing training and refreshing areas where common issues are found in regular training sessions all staff and portal users can attend.
• Information Governance and Data Protection - Ensuring data is kept up to date and added in the correct formats and standards. Leading on data compliance and legalisation for the charity

Key skills & experience we are looking for

• 3 years’ CRM experience with at least 2+ years experience with administering Dynamics CRM/365/2016.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365.
• Experience in systems and requirements analysis/Systems documentation.
• Managing issues and maintaining issue management systems.
• Microsoft Office 365 automation, including Microsoft Flow.
• Business Process Modelling Notation (BPMN).
• Business Central.
• Power BI.

Work Location/Hybrid Working Pattern

This role will be based at our Head Office in central London. Mothers’ Union operates a hybrid working model. Staff are required to work an aggregate minimum of 90 days per calendar year (pro rata for part timers) at our Head Office, Mary Sumner House in central London. Tuesdays are our anchor days where every staff member is expected to be at the office. The 90 days includes anchor Tuesdays. In addition, Thursday is a core working day where part time staff are expected to work, either at home or from the office as needed.
