Location: Though this is a predominantly home-based role, you will get lots of opportunities to get out and about to produce content with our incredible storytellers, supporters, volunteers, and staff. This will involve frequent trips to London, to our offices and events. Due to the reactive nature of social, this may occasionally be required at short notice. Therefore, our preferred candidate will be based in London or nearby.
Are you passionate about creating engaging content and building vibrant online communities? We are looking for a Social Media Officer to help shape and deliver our day-to-day social media activity, reaching and inspiring audiences through powerful storytelling and meaningful engagement.
Working as part of a dynamic team, you will develop compelling content across our key social channels, provide excellent community management, and collaborate across the organisation to ensure social media is used effectively and strategically.
In this role, you will play a key part in helping us meet our campaign, team and organisation-wide goals, always guided by data, insight and impact.
You will seek out and share stories from people affected by dementia, creating social content that connects emotionally and informs powerfully. You will stay on top of trends and spot opportunities to boost engagement, finding creative ways to highlight the impact of dementia and the hope we provide through support, research, and campaigning.

About you
Can you stop people from scrolling on social media?

- We’re looking for a self-motivated, proactive individual with a passion for social media and experience working across accounts with high volumes of user engagement. You’ll know how to create channel and audience-specific content that maximises user engagement and have a talent for spotting trends and opportunities to ensure we stand out from the crowd.
- The ideal candidate will have proven experience in managing active social media communities and understand the value of nurturing online audiences through considered community management approaches.
- You will be confident creating a range of impactful visual assets (graphics, video, photo), and really understand how to get the best results in each placement. You’ll be a great communicator with the ability to tell a great story via social content, adept at writing engaging copy, but also able to manage sensitive conversations on social.
- Brilliant interpersonal skills are also key to allow you to develop great relationships with internal teams and to work closely with people affected by dementia. Whether it’s a person with the condition themselves, a carer or someone who’s lost a loved one, you’ll be able to bring their experiences and stories to life through our channels.
- Lastly, a particular interest in using analytics tools to drive performance through data and insight is essential. You’ll be confident creating reports that align with strategic objectives and demonstrate business impact.

You will have the chance to make a direct impact by working with communities across parishes, schools, and other networks. This role involves building and nurturing relationships with key stakeholders, growing the charity base of active supporters, and generating vital funding through various initiatives.

Location: Working from home, covering the Dioceses of Portsmouth, Arundel & Brighton and Southwark

As a Community Fundraiser (South) you will:

• Promote the charity’s pastoral and spiritual work within local communities.
• Develop strong relationships with parishes, schools, and diocesan networks to increase engagement with the charity’s mission.
• Inspire people to make donations and raise funds to support the charity projects, including the sale of charity items and organising fundraising events.
• Recruit and support volunteers, as well as manage fundraising groups and initiatives across the region.
• Manage relationships with high value and legacy donors, ensuring their continued support and engagement.

To be successful, you must have experience:

• Previous experience in community fundraising or a related field is beneficial.
• A strong network of contacts within the diocesan community, schools, or special interest groups is a plus.
• Exceptional communication skills, public speaking abilities, and strong organisational capabilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with social media are essential.
• Ability to work independently, manage your own time, and take ownership of key projects, while also being a strong team player.

Salary: £30,000- £36,000 per annum

As an Arts Psychotherapist you will promote the recovery of young people and vulnerable adults following a disclosure of child sexual abuse and/or domestic abuse by reducing the emotional, psychological and physical symptoms of child abuse through the provision of early intervention therapeutic assessment, psycho-education, strategies for acute stress symptoms and interventions. This work will be undertaken following pre-trial therapy guidelines until the client has completed the Criminal Justice Process.

We welcome applications from survivor-practitioners (employees who have lived experience of sexual and/or domestic abuse). You can choose to identify as a person with lived experience within the recruitment process if you feel comfortable doing so, however, this is not a requirement of the process.

This post will be a hybrid one with a combination of home working and working at Imara premises in Nottingham City Centre and Mansfield, plus satellite centres in Nottinghamshire County. The post holder will be required to travel to support clients at various community venues e.g. schools and children’s centres.

Some of the key tasks for this role will include:

• Develop and deliver a therapeutic service to young people and vulnerable adults following a disclosure or discovery of child sexual abuse and/or domestic abuse, communicating with clients to explain the service, including pre-trial therapy guidelines and encourage engagement
• Carry out assessments, psycho-education, early intervention strategies and individual therapeutic recovery work to young people and vulnerable adults affected by child sexual abuse and/or domestic abuse
• Work within CPS pre-trial therapy guidelines (training will be provided)
• Maintain a caseload and provide accurate, timely and concise electronic records using our online database CharityLog. Ensure record keeping adheres to pre-trial therapy guidelines.
• Provide information to young people and vulnerable adults regarding the impact of the trauma of sexual abuse and/or domestic abuse, the potential for recovery and the promotion of prevention
• Consider and respond to child safeguarding issues when engaging with all children and young people, adhere to the Nottingham City and County Safeguarding Board policies in all assigned work and actively promote children’s best interests. Keep up-to-date with relevant legislation, policies and technical services.
