About the Role:

With responsibility for delivery of Outcome 2 of the Youth Empowerment Fund, this role will deliver initiatives relating to capacity building, youth-led advocacy and events and will sit within the GYM-YEF project coordination team under the supervision of the Project Coordination Leadership team.

This position will work closely with Big Six representatives to deliver Capacity building initiatives to YEF awardees, Youth Panellists, and the Global Youth Mobilization GYM Network and be responsible for ensuring coordinated efforts across the project.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage the implementation of the capacity building for the Youth Empowerment Fund of GYM 

2. Collaborate with Big Six Designated Leads in the coordination of the capacity building offer and work plan 

3. Manage relationship with designated project Capacity Building leads in each of the Big Six in activating their national organizations/societies/operators in the YEF 

4. Monitor the Capacity Building project budgets and prepare relevant reports for governance and donors, supporting the MEL officer.

5. Oversee development of advocacy guidance and production of policy recommendations follow up on use of resources following events.

6. Support the development and roll out of the GYM-YEF Network, for peer-peer learning, capacity building opportunities and collecting useful resources for young people’s personal and professional development. 

7. Support the GYM youth-led advocacy objectives and long-term partnerships.

8. Contribute to the staff activities of WAGGGS, participating in staff sharing days, Global Programmes Team departmental meetings and activities and other activities as appropriate.

We’re a Scottish registered charity dedicated to improving awareness and education around blood donation - especially among young people. Each of the Support Network Coordinators have the responsibility for delivering, maintaining, and expanding the support services available to spinal cord injured (SCI) people and their region of the UK.

The post coordinates two vital parallel strands:

1. In your region, to reach and support newly and long-term spinal cord injured people and their families developing a strong partnership with all available specialist services, charity and business partners; managing a dedicated team of volunteers as well as providing direct support to SCI people with more complex support needs.
2. Nationally, working to facilitate the link between SCI people and SIA and the network of services; referring SCI people and their families to our clinical / health expert support teams and advocacy services; working with the Digital Engagement team to build on-line links to regional partners in your area; supporting fundraising, campaigns and communications.

Pregnancy Options Centre (Options) are seeking a Fundraising Officer to raise funds for our counselling and education services: supporting people in crisis or distress around unplanned pregnancy or pregnancy loss experiences and educating the next generation on matters surrounding sexual health and healthy relationships. The post-holder will be responsible for raising funds from grants/trusts applications, and for developing and maintaining donor relationships. Pregnancy Options Centre provides free, non-directive help and support to anyone facing an unplanned pregnancy or struggling following an abortion or pregnancy loss.
