This peer support project is delivered in partnership with South West London and St George’s Mental Health NHS Trust to support Carers of people with mental health conditions.  This project will work to support Carers through one-to-one support, outreach, training and peer support groups.

About The Role: 

Using your lived experience of caring for someone with a mental health condition, and a strengths-based approach, you will support mental health Carers in their caring role.  You will provide person centred one-to-one- support, information, signposting, and advocacy, develop, and facilitate peer support groups and deliver training and outreach sessions at different locations across the borough. 

Key Requirements Include: 

• Lived experience of Caring for someone with a mental health condition 

• Knowledge and understanding of mental health and the associated challenges and support needs.

UK-Med is an NGO providing emergency health support in times of crisis and humanitarian emergencies. We provide clinical support, as well as training and capacity building for health professionals around the world, with particular focus on countries vulnerable to natural disasters, outbreaks or with weakened health systems due to complex emergencies. As the principal partner of the UK Emergency Medical Team (UK EMT), we work closely with FCDO and the WHO, but we are also growing our own programmes. Our work has never been more vital, with disease outbreaks and disasters becoming more frequent, complex and severe.

Following a period of considerable growth in size and complexity of UK-Med’s capacity building portfolio we are seeking an experienced humanitarian leader to join our team in this pivotal role. Our portfolio continues to grow at pace with current priorities and projects covering training and preparation of emergency response staff, developing and consolidating our simulation exercise capability, piloting remote capacity building and TeleHealth, partnering with peer Emergency Medical Teams for capacity building and supporting university programmes.

The Deputy Director of Capacity Building will work with key internal and external stakeholders on successfully delivering UK-Med’s capacity building portfolio, develop and implement effective systems and procedures for training delivery and monitoring, and lead a team of talented training and capacity building professionals from various backgrounds. The role will involve travel for training delivery in the UK and internationally as well as occasionally deploying to humanitarian responses and existing country programmes.

The successful candidate will be an experienced humanitarian leader with a wealth of experience in emergency response, ideally in health programming. You will be passionate and experienced in contributing your own humanitarian expertise and experience to capacity building development and delivery from programme design to activity levels. You will have a strong track record of building and implementing systems and procedures for delivery and monitoring of complex programme portfolios, preferably within humanitarian capacity building.

This is an opportunity to join Refuge as a Floating Support Worker to provide high quality practical and emotional support to survivors of domestic abuse and their children living in our dispersed refuge accommodation in Warwickshire. This service will provide emergency accommodation across Warwickshire with high-quality domestic abuse support, ‘by-and-for’ services for survivors of domestic abuse and their children. 

The post holder will provide high quality support and safety planning to survivors and their children who are fleeing domestic abuse. This includes enabling survivors to access housing, welfare, benefits and legal advice.  A key requirement is to provide personal welfare support and to ensure that survivors are provided with a safe, supportive and welcoming environment in accordance with Refuge’s philosophical principles.

The Floating Support Worker (FSW) will carry a caseload of survivors of domestic abuse to enable them to provide a more holistic and intensive support package. They will work closely with survivors from the point of crisis through to move on from the emergency accommodation. FSWs will work in partnership with both statutory and voluntary sector partners to ensure that the whole range of survivors’ needs are met.

As part of this role, you will be required to participate in an out-of-hours on call rota.

We are seeking a well organised and highly motivated Community Archivist to deliver this hugely significant project.

Champs Camp was the first successful Black boxing gym in Britain, with Phil Martin, its founder, the UK’s first Black boxing trainer, manager and promoter. Martin revolutionised British boxing during the 1980s and 1990s, introducing new ways of training and transforming the lives of thousands of young men and boys across Greater Manchester in the process. He deliberately challenged the public association of Moss Side with guns and gangs, helping to produce UK and world champions and make Manchester a centre of the sport.

This project will preserve and make publicly accessible the records of a hugely significant but largely unknown episode in UK Black history. Its legacy will be the preservation of a unique and extensive archive of film, photography, and posters, the collection of a wide-ranging oral history, and the production of a permanent digital archive, accessible to anyone including educators, activists and the wider community. 

This role is funded by The National Lottery Fund grant and is run by a partnership of the Moss Side Boxing and Athletics Association (MSBAA) and Manchester Histories, with support from staff at the University of Manchester in History and the Research Data Management Support Service. The role will be located at both MSBAA and the University of Manchester and managed by the Manchester Histories team.

The service offers specialist support to homeless men across a range of areas including re-offending behaviour, mental health issues, physical health needs and substance misuse. Edward Alsop Court implements and promotes the Psychologically Informed Environment (PIE) model. This is an approach to supporting people out of homelessness, those who have experienced complex trauma or are diagnosed with a personality disorder. It also considers the psychological needs of staff: developing skills and knowledge, increasing motivation, job satisfaction and resilience.
As a maintenance worker, you will be responsible for small responsive/maintenance items (for example replacement of bulbs, batteries, tightening of screws etc) to internal elements and components; PAT test items; internal decorations; cleaning of communal spaces; removal of minor items; fixture and fittings such as shower curtains, mirrors, bathroom fittings (toilet seats, toilet rolls holders etc); assembly furniture; bins removal; there will be a weekly rota with tasks allocated to each day which will be given weekly; support with shopping deliveries.

The working hours for this role is: Monday to Friday 8am-4pm

What you'll do:
* Carry out weekly checks (water checks, fire call points check, fire doors check, lint removal from laundry room, emergency lights check, fire extinguishers check, communal areas check, courtyard cleaning, fire escapes check).
* Supporting contractors attending the site for furniture deliveries and any maintenance issue
* Adhere to Look Ahead' Policies and Procedures
* Undertake any other duties consistent with the grade and nature of the post as may be reasonably assigned
* Attend team meetings once a month

About You  

Do you have expertise in information management, data governance, and GDPR compliance? Do you have experience developing and delivering data services that support organisational goals and compliance? 

They are looking to recruit an experienced Information Management and GDPR Lead to drive best practices in data governance, privacy, and compliance across our client. This role will develop and manage a data protection service that provides guidance, tools, and resources to help our clients handle personal and non-personal data securely and effectively. You will oversee GDPR compliance, privacy notices, data-sharing agreements, and third-party processing, ensuring a consistent approach across the federation. 

Alongside being their DPO, you will provide specialist support on areas such as subject access requests (SARs), monitor emerging legislation, develop and maintain template agreements, and ensure our client have access to legal expertise via external contractors. A key part of the role will be horizon scanning to keep our client informed and prepared for upcoming regulatory changes, which will include thinking about the governance of artificial intelligence for our client and federation. You will also support shared data services, including the data lake, and help align CRM systems and third-party platforms with compliance requirements. Additionally you will monitor our clients risk exposure and compliance. We expect around 30/50% of the role will be supporting them, with the other up to 70% providing support and consultancy to the Trusts. 

This role is critical in embedding a solid data culture, ensuring Trusts have the right processes and tools to manage their data responsibly, effectively, and in alignment with evolving legal and regulatory frameworks. 

You are an experienced information management and data protection professional with a deep understanding of GDPR and data governance. You have a track record of managing data protection services, providing expert guidance on privacy, compliance, and best practices. You are confident in interpreting and implementing data protection legislation, supporting teams to embed robust information management processes, and ensuring compliance across a complex federated organisation. 

You are skilled in horizon scanning, keeping ahead of emerging data regulations and risks, and ensuring our client remain compliant and proactive in response to legislative changes. You are comfortable developing template agreements, privacy notices, and data-sharing policies, ensuring consistency and compliance across multiple Trusts. 

With excellent communication and problem-solving skills, you can translate complex legal and technical requirements into clear, practical guidance. You have experience working across teams, building trust and engagement, and delivering training to improve data literacy and compliance awareness. 

You thrive in collaborative environments, working with colleagues, legal advisors, and external experts to ensure The Wildlife Trusts’ approach to data protection is effective, ethical, and legally sound. You are also adaptable, ready to support new data initiatives, such as the development of a data service and governance of the data lake.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you’ll support the month-end and year-end close, oversee payroll and accounts payable, and act as the first point of contact for grant and bank account queries. Your role will be essential in ensuring the smooth running of the finance function, providing expert financial insights and analysis to support decision-making.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing annual statutory accounts and audit documentation.
• Lead the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting.
• Oversee payroll processing (Sage 50), including tax and pension calculations.
• Manage accounts payable, including supplier payments and expense reconciliation.
• Maintain key financial controls, including grant payments, payroll, creditors, and bank reconciliations.
• Monitor and improve financial processes to ensure efficiency and compliance.
• Support the Finance Director with cash flow analysis and forecasting.

What are we looking for?

• Qualified or finalist (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) with 2-5 years of experience in financial accounting.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, tax compliance, and audit processes.
• Skilled in Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, Financial Modelling) and accounting software (preferably NetSuite).
• Experience in payroll processing, budgeting, and cash flow management.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, able to present financial data clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
