About the Role
In this newly created role, you will work directly with the CEO, providing oversight and direction to Team Leaders to ensure that services operate effectively and meet contractual requirements. You will be passionate about making a difference to the lives of unpaid carers in Buckinghamshire, with the ability to make an impact quickly. You’ll bring proven hands-on experience in a similar role working with a team to establish effective and innovative ways to deliver services.
Main Responsibilities
1. Strategic and Operational Leadership
· Hold overall accountability for service performance and quality, working through the Adult, Young and Hospital Carers Team Leaders who lead day-to-day operations
· Ensure alignment with our strategic priorities and our commissioned outcomes.
· Contribute as an active member of the Senior Management Team, supporting organisational strategy, planning and delivery.
· Ensure that all carer services operate cohesively, with smooth transitions between age groups and consistent quality standards.
· Use data and feedback to drive service improvement and innovation.
2. Service Delivery and Quality
· Oversee the effective management of the Adult, Young, Young Adult and Hospital teams.
· Embed a culture of high performance, reflective practice and continuous learning.
· Ensure strong safeguarding practices are central in all services
· Ensure systems are used consistently for case management, data recording and reporting.
· Work with the Diverse Communities Worker and other leads to ensure services are inclusive, culturally sensitive and responsive to the needs of underrepresented groups
· Oversee the effective involvement of volunteers within carer services, working with the Volunteer Manager to ensure they are well-supported, trained and valued as integral members of the team.
3. People Leadership and Team Development
· Foster collaboration and a supportive team culture built on the Carers Bucks values.
· Line-manage and support the three Team Leads, ensuring clarity of priorities, effective supervision and professional growth.
· Support wellbeing, resilience and a sense of shared purpose across teams.
4. Safeguarding
· Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) for Carers Bucks, providing advice and guidance to staff on safeguarding issues, ensuring compliance with policy and statutory requirements, and escalating concerns appropriately.
· Maintain oversight of all safeguarding cases across the organisation and support Team Leaders in their DDSL responsibilities.
5. Partnership and Representation
· Provide strategic coordination across thematic leads (Diverse Communities, Hospitals, Volunteers) to ensure alignment and shared priorities across services
· Represent Carers Bucks strategically with partners across social care, education and health.
· Support the CEO in relationships with commissioners, primary and secondary care, schools and VCSE partners to enhance identification and referral of carers.
· Champion the voice of carers of all ages through partnership boards, networks and other forums.
6. Performance, Impact and Reporting
· Monitor performance against contract outcomes, KPIs and quality standards.
· Work with our Data Lead to ensure accurate reporting and a strong evidence base for our work.
· Analyse trends and learning to inform service design and improvement.
· Contribute to quarterly and annual reports for commissioners and trustees.
· Provide effective feedback upwards to the CEO.
7. Organisational Contribution
· Contribute to strategic planning, risk management and organisational development.
· Represent Carers Bucks at events, conference and key campaigns
· Lead on the co-design of new approaches, including digital and preventative models.
· Stay abreast of local and national developments in carers’ policy and practice.
· Undertake other duties as reasonably required by the Chief Executive.

- Proven experience of operating at a similar level, leading a services team in the charity sector.

Build flexibly on your Charity Career with this person-centred charity supporting unpaid carers
This is a full-time role in a well-established charity based in Twickenham. This role would suit someone who wants to have the opportunity to work flexibly and build their career in the Charity sector with experience of working in social care.
Richmond Carers Centre has the mission to help unpaid adult carers to live a full, active and meaningful life by providing them with advice, information, activities, breaks and emotional support either face to face, by phone or by email to enable them to live well.
As a Support Worker, you will be part of a small, dedicated team and take a lead on providing emotional support to adult carers and a commitment to enhancing their health and wellbeing. Much of your work will involve actively listening to carers, often via the phone support line, providing information, advice and support.
As part of the Adult Carers Support Team, you will also be involved in organising breaks for carers, outreach activities and leisure events, as well as group work to help enhance carers’ health and wellbeing. Part of the role will also aim to improve the identification, recognition and understanding of the needs of adult carers, raise the profile of adult carers and ensure adult carers needs are met. You will also be expected to work with our volunteers and to use appropriate monitoring and evaluation reports to show our funders what we have achieved.
You will be someone:

Main Duties include:
- To provide a regular telephone support-line, face-to-face and email support, offering appropriate, generic advice

- To encourage and assist carers and those they care for to access Care Needs Assessments and Carers Assessments and to take up services that will enhance their lives
- To complete individual grant applications with carers for respite or if they are experiencing financial hardship due to the cost-of-living crisis
- To work where appropriate with other service providers/agencies to promote the carer agenda or jointly deliver carer support issues
- To be proactive in the registration of carers living or caring for someone within the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames
- To keep accurate records of group and individual carer engagement for monitoring and evaluation purposes
- To participate in key events organised by Richmond Carers Centre and other relevant partners to promote services to a wider public

About you

About the role
The role will involve the management of the day-to-day financial activities, VAT, gift aid, payroll and the monthly, quarterly and annual reconciliations and statutory accounts preparation. The job holder will work closely with the Chief Operating Officer, Finance Officer and volunteers within the team. There will be a requirement to work closely with the income generating staff, budget holders, auditors, banks and credit card providers on a regular basis. The Finance Manager will be responsible for managing the Finance Officer and Finance volunteer.

Key Responsibilities and accountabilities:
· Be directly responsible for ensuring the effective and efficient day-to-day functioning of the centre including the management of the Brazelton Centre UK premises and IT, where applicable.
· Understand the legal and reporting obligations of the Brazelton Centre UK as a registered Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) and be responsible for ensuring the Centre meets these obligations including for example filing of annual accounts.
· Work with the Board of Trustees, Director, fundraising colleagues and partner organisations to increase voluntary income to the Centre to fund and trial innovative new services and research opportunities in line with our strategy
·Ensure HR policies are reviewed and updated to ensure compliance with employment laws, regulations and best practice. Develop new policies that are fit for purpose, legally compliant, and embedded within the team.
·Update, maintain and develop employee handbook, HR templates, processes, and systems to support the delivery of an effective HR function.
·Manage HR systems ensuring all records are maintained accurately and comply with GDPR.
·Day to day line management of a number of the Brazelton Centre staff including the development of objectives, work plans and monitoring ongoing performance, the management of annual leave and sickness and absence monitoring.

General

About this job
This year, we’ve embarked on a bold, strategic initiative to enhance our data capabilities.
We’re aiming to improve our data use, integration and analytics to increase engagement, maximise impact and drive forward our strategic goals. With a key focus on: effective and efficient operations; collaboration; and continuous improvement in our Technology, Strategy and Business Intelligence teams.
To achieve this ambition, we’ve developed a new technology infrastructure which we are calling “Sage”. We’re implementing new technology infrastructure this year (such as our new CRM system and suite of data tools – Microsoft Dynamics).
We will be taking a structured and phased approach to transitioning and embedding our new team structures, infrastructure and ways of working as part of Phase 2 of this Project.
Our IT Infrastructure team covers the following areas:
- Fully responsible for managing the technology stacks
- Ensuring the underlying systems and data are secure and highly protected from malicious actors
- Ensuring the systems are available
- Managing 3rd party suppliers who assist us in supporting, developing and securing the systems
- Manage the technical and security risk registers and, with a risk based approach, mitigate risks to the best of our ability
- Embed principles of best value and money saving into all technology decisions
We’ve made a significant investment in our Microsoft suite and have transitioned services to Azure. We’re also building a cloud infrastructure to support the Organisation’s mission critical data use improvement project.
Our Infrastructure Systems Manager plays a crucial role in the development, support and maintenance of these systems, implementing the tools and technology we need as well as driving the reduction of IT costs where possible.
This role is responsible for:
- Maintenance of technical infrastructure based on Microsoft technologies
- Automated process creation to ensure systems are monitored and managed
- Migration of remaining on premise systems to Microsoft cloud based solutions
- Maintenance of legacy systems and processes where necessary
- Ensuring systems are highly accessible and available
- Advice to the Organisation on best practice on technology
For this role we’re looking for:
- Broad expert technical knowledge of IT Infrastructure based on both cloud and on premise Microsoft technologies
- Knowledge of Dynamics CRM 365 and associated technology
- Knowledge of Azure services, PowerApps, DataVerse

Shannon Trust are delighted to be working with His Majesty’s Prison & Probation Service (HMPPS) to provide peer-led learning programmes at HMP Ford. Working closely with the prison and their staff, people in prison, Shannon Trust volunteers and mentors, this post will lead the delivery and development of our prison-based reading and numeracy programme, maximising opportunities for people in prison to learn to read.
Ideally you will have some experience of prison settings underpinned by the ability to build relationships and personal qualities that include resilience, determination and a problem-solving approach.
This is a fixed term role until 31st March 2026, with the opportunity to be made permanent subject to continued funding.
This role will be prison based. About you

What You'll Do:

Job Description
This is an exciting and varied role, and we are looking for a proactive post holder who will manage three key aspects of CARA’s service provision:
- Manage new referrals into our service, overseeing the work of our team of First Contact Navigators and our Information and Referrals Co-ordinator.
- Manage our counselling waiting lists and the allocation of clients to a counsellor, overseeing the work of our Allocations Team.
- Act as the main lead and point of contact for managing CARA’s client database and resolving any data queries.
This role will lead a talented and committed team of six, supporting their work and assisting them to develop their key roles. As well as overseeing day-to-day operations of the team, the post holder will be part of CARA’s management team and will have the opportunity to play a key role in CARA’s wider development, working closely with CARA’s Senior Leadership Team and Team Managers.
The First Contact Navigator project is a shared project with our sister centres, SERICC and SOS Rape Crisis, so the post holder will liaise closely with colleagues in those centres.
Main Responsibilities
Line management and team support
· To line manage CARA’s Information and Referrals Co-ordinator, First Contact Navigators and Allocations Co-ordinators, providing day-to-day support, monitoring performance and identifying training and development needs. This will include keeping up to date notes of line management meetings and conducting and recording annual staff appraisals.
