Mosaic LGBT+ Young Persons’ Trust is the largest LGBT+ youth service in Greater London. We have more than 550 members: around 350 12 – 18 year olds (young persons) and around 250 18 – 25 year olds (young adults) using one of our many services each year.
We believe that a good job, where you can earn a decent salary and where you can be yourself as well, can transform your life. So we are working on a series of actions which will increase the chances of our members to get such a job.
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for the program end to end. It involves finding opportunities for our members to have work experience - that requires sales skill and tenacity. It also involves supporting our member and the workplace mentor - that requires you to want to work helping people and providing advice and support.
Mosaic Works provides work experience opportunities for our members. We place them in businesses being mentored by an LGBT+ employee in that workplace. We ensure that they are paid for their work.
We have found social action / volunteering programs also give an excellent start to the world of work and enhance a CV.
We also provide career advice, CV and interview preparation. Experience shows us that this is a great start to them moving on and more easily getting permanent employment.
As Business Development Manager you will run these programs end to end, in a full 360 sales role. We will provide support to you to ensure you are successful. We have a sales plan which enables you to over achieve and increase your earnings.

Job Purpose:
We are entering an exciting phase for the #iwill Movement, with the #iwill Fund looking to invest in a first wave of Towns and Cities of youth social action. To support this, the Department of Culture Media and Sport are making a direct investment in the #will Movement to support the mobilization of Towns and Cities, and we now require three new Place Partnership Managers in the #iWill Movement to work alongside local stakeholders to support their mobilisation of their Town or City of social action.
This role will have a specific focus in identified towns/cities/places in England, working with young people and partners to create conditions for youth led place-based change, as part of the #iWill Movement’s Town and Cities of social action agenda.
The role will take the best practice from existing work in Ipswich, Manchester and Blackpool to create guiding principles for establishing local governance and partnerships that can support a Town or City of Youth Social action to be created.
The role will liaise with local stakeholders to support their funding bid to the #iwill Fund, ensuring young people are in the lead and sponsoring applications. The role will support and influence organisations in agreed Towns and Cities to sign the Power of Youth Charter and make strategic commitments to support young people through the #iwill Movement.
The role will also support local places to construct movement building and income generation plans to ensure ongoing investment from local stakeholders beyond the period of funding award.
This role requires someone rooted in the practice of community based and youth led change, with experience in facilitation and the ability to manage complex partnerships and influence a variety of stakeholders, including through income generation activities.

The Charity:
Aphasia Support is a passionate, community-centred charity. Our mission is to improve the wellbeing of people with Aphasia and their carers by providing tailored speech and language therapy and long-term support. We want to create a world where every person with Aphasia has access to support and can communicate with confidence.
The charity currently has 4 staff members (Chief Executive, Fundraising & Communications Manager, Speech and Language Therapy Assistant, Administrator) and 8 Speech and Language Therapists working for the charity on a sessional basis. The sessional workers oversee our 1to1 support and aphasia cafes. The charity has over 60 volunteers who provide the 1to1 support and help run our aphasia cafes.
The Role:
Aphasia Support is looking to recruit a Community Engagement & Volunteer Officer who will work with the charity’s speech and language therapy team and volunteers in West Yorkshire, Harrogate and Barnsley to ensure our support reaches the people who need it most.
We envisage this to be a split role:
- 3 days focused on ensuring people in West Yorkshire, Harrogate and Barnsley receive timely support through the charity's community-based Aphasia Cafe's and at-home 1:1 speech and language therapy service.
- 2 days focused on overseeing the charity's volunteer recruitment and retention programme, ensuring Aphasia Support's valued volunteers receive the best possible experience, utilising their time and resource to create the biggest impact.

Main duties will include:
·Processing of new referrals into the charity alongside the current SLT Assistant. Contacting new referrals and outlining the charity’s 1to1 support and aphasia café support offer and completing initial referral paperwork via phone and email.
· Gaining a thorough understanding of the speech and language therapy apps used by the charity and supported conversation techniques. You will work towards being the resident expert on the speech and language therapy apps used by the charity.
· Matching people with aphasia with volunteers for our 1to1 support service within West Yorkshire, Harrogate and Barnsley.
· Completing initial appointments in the client’s home alongside volunteers. Taking speech and language therapy assessments and turning them into clear therapy plans that can be delivered confidently by the volunteers.
· Provide ongoing advice and support to volunteers and clients.
· Provide home based 1to1 support for clients, if required.
- Leading on volunteer recruitment for all areas of the charity by liaising with the charity’s Fundraising & Communications Manager alongside branch committees, volunteer centres, universities, colleges and NHS volunteering teams.

· Leading on the charity’s quarterly volunteer inductions.
· On occasion supporting the charity’s event fundraising calendar which will require some evening work.

About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to lead IRMO’s Education, Training and Employment (ETE) programme. You’ll manage a dedicated team and oversee a range of initiatives that support our community’s social, cultural and economic integration in the UK.
The ETE programme offers tailored English classes, one-to-one coaching, employability workshops, vocational training and mentoring. It also includes oversight of IRMO’s volunteer scheme, which is an integral part of service delivery and offers meaningful roles for volunteers across the programme. At Yorkshire Cancer Community, our vision is for everyone affected by cancer to have the best support possible. We are a patient-led charity, with a dedicated team of volunteers and staff who are passionate about helping anyone affected by cancer.
Working in partnership with West Yorkshire & Harrogate Cancer Alliance (WYHCA), we aim to help reduce cancer rates through our Cancer SMART project, which raises awareness of the signs and symptoms of cancer, so people are better informed, attend screening and know where to go for help.
Our Patient VIEW project is dedicated to representing the voices of patients, carers and service users, ensuring they are central to decision-making processes within cancer care.

We are looking for people to join our pool of freelancers, delivering our Transforming Spaces programme and helping us to deliver our ambitious project targets to ensure many more children and young people can have safe spaces to sleep, learn and play. We redecorate children's bedrooms, as well as local youth clubs and community centres which children rely on for support. The purpose of the programme is to provide children living in unsuitable accommodation with safe environments where they can sleep, learn, play, and grow.
Renovation projects are designed with support from The Childhood Trust’s pro bono interior design team at Katharine Pooley and completed in one day by a group of volunteers. There is growing demand from both communities who need our support and from volunteers who want to give their time to make a difference.

Main purpose of the role
The Volunteering Officer will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the StreetVet volunteering programme. This forms part of the transformation of mental health services in the London Borough of Bromley under the NHS Long Term Plan. We have an exciting opportunity for a Peer Support Coordinator to join the BMHWH. This role will support the development and delivery of mental health peer support, as part of the BMHWH service, across the London Borough of Bromley. You will be responsible for coordinating and supporting our team of Peer Support Volunteers, ensuring safe and effective delivery of peer-led services. You'll work with the Senior Peer Support Coordinator to meet targets, develop and deliver group programmes, and oversee volunteer recruitment, training, and supervision. This will involve working closely with Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust colleagues.
The role requires strong communication across BMHWH teams and includes responsibility for dealing with safeguarding situations that may arise in your groups. You'll also provide some direct, person-centred support to clients, drawing on your lived experience. Accurate record-keeping and outcome monitoring are essential. Occasional out-of-hours work and covering for team colleagues is required.

Context and purpose of role
The Out There Award (OTA) increases the skills, confidence and social connections of young adults (18-26 years) from diverse backgrounds to enjoy the outdoors responsibly. As a member of the Programmes team, the Programme Lead (Out There Award) will be responsible for the successful development and delivery of the programme across GB.
Key responsibilities
- Lead on the design, development and operational delivery of the Out There Award programme across GB.
- Create operational delivery plans – to identify milestones, monitor risks, resolve issues and manage resource requirements.
- Design and develop resources and processes to support programme implementation.
- Be responsible for managing a budget in line with programme goals and objectives.
- Be responsible for evaluation and reporting, to ensure the programme meets KPIs and delivers measurable impact.
- Manage new and existing strategic partnerships with outdoor organisations and those working with young people facing barriers to becoming active outdoors.
- Work with partners to recruit participants to the Out There Award, and to promote the programme more widely.
- Develop a network of delivery partners and instructors.
