Location: London, SE1

Reports to: Team Manager

Hours: Full time or part time available. Office hours: Monday – Friday 8:30am – 5pm. Some weekend work available (please ask about this)

Salary: Dependant on experience. You will also earn commission on top of your basic salary on successful completion of your probation.

We are recruiting for a Junior Recruiter to join our recruitment team at Flow Caritas. This role is the entry position on the Flow Caritas career ladder with further progression available to become a Recruiter, Account Manager and Senior Account Manager.

The Role:

The Junior Recruiter provides the backbone of our recruitment operation and is the first position on the Flow Caritas career ladder.

The Junior Recruiter will build up a portfolio of face-to-face fundraisers by providing an end-to-end recruitment service to candidates, starting from candidate attraction to on- boarding. The Junior Recruiter will also deliver administrative support to the whole recruitment team.

Main Duties:

  • Expand Flow Caritas’ candidate pool with multiple talent attraction methods such as writing and placing job adverts on social media networking and promoting referrals.
  • Screen candidates over the phone and evaluate suitability for the job.
  • Book candidates into interviews for face-to-face fundraising roles and send email confirmations.
  • Build rapport with candidates.
  • Give interview feedback to candidates.
  • Book new starters into training.
  • Complete all relevant on-boarding administration such as emailing training and assignment details, sending contracts and ensuring right to work documentation is obtained.
  • Conduct regular telephone catch-ups with fundraisers to maximise retention and maintain relationships.
  • Add new starters to the recruitment database and maintain records.
  • Assist with ad-hoc projects as required.
  • Make recommendations to the line manager concerning potential improvements to company procedures and standards.
  • Adhere to company policies, systems, procedures and relevant codes of practice and legislation.

The Candidate:
Whilst this is an entry-level role, we want to hear from positive, professional and accountable people who can organise themselves and deliver their work effectively. You need to understand what makes Flow Caritas different from its competitors and how the role of Junior Recruiter plays a part in this.

Essential criteria:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, especially telephone and email etiquette.
  • Genuine love for connecting with people and building rapport.
  • A drive to build a career in recruitment/charity sector.
  • Ability to deal effectively and professionally with people at all levels.
  • Computer literacy: intermediate+ level knowledge of MS Office.
  • Extremely organised with good attention to detail.
  • Positive attitude and ability to work in a faced paced and busy environment.
  • Determined and self-motivated.
  • Proactive
  • Customer based experience in a busy and dynamic environment such as retail, promotions, festivals, events, bar work, theatre + performing arts or sales

Desirable criteria:

  • Industry experience - ideally as a face to face fundraiser
  • Proven track record in administration, ideally gained with a small to medium sized
  • company.
