We are looking to recruit an Activities Organiser for the Scunthorpe and District Group. As our local group Activities Organiser you’ll play a crucial role in developing and planning activities and events with your local group. You’ll be responsible for creating and coordinating an annual calendar of events and making sure they’re run safely and effectively to make the most impact. You’ll take a lead role at events on the day and inspire your fellow volunteers to get involved.

In this role you’ll be able to develop your organisation, communication, administration and negotiation skills. 

Time commitment

Role Title: Graphic Designer

Role Purpose

Quilombo UK is looking for a Graphic Designer to join the team. Quilombo UK is a not for profit social enterprise that challenges people to think differently and bridge gaps between communities, with the aim of building a culturally rich society, where differences are accepted and celebrated. Main Responsibilities

• Study design briefs and determine requirements
• Schedule projects and define budget constraints
• Conceptualize visuals based on requirements
• Prepare rough drafts and present ideas
• Develop illustrations, logos and other designs using software or by hand
• Use the appropriate colours and layouts for each graphic
• Work with copywriters and creative director to produce final design
• Test graphics across various media
• Amend designs after feedback
• Ensure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on-brand

Essential Skills

• Proven graphic designing experience
• A portfolio of illustrations or other graphics / CV
• Familiarity with design software and technologies (such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe Suite)

About the Emergency Ambulance Crew role

As Emergency Ambulance Crew, you will respond to emergency and non-emergency situations where you will assess and treat patients to a high skill level, providing support to your community. You will transport patients across all St John Ambulance services including supporting local ambulance services and working at events. You will provide high quality, professional and compassionate care at all times, and support to other St John ambulance crew and first aiders.

This crucial role is for volunteers who can give high commitment, from getting trained to getting out on regular ambulance shifts. The role may be demanding, but is also one of our most rewarding, supporting the most profound patient outcomes. It’s great for you, great for your community and great for our nation.

Getting started

Training to become Emergency Ambulance Crew is a significant commitment. There will be full days of classroom-based, practical training, usually held across several weekends, on top of virtual theory sessions. Trainee Emergency Ambulance Crew will also have reading and online learning to complete, and a number of observation shifts on ambulances.

Overview 

No Panic is a national charity, supporting people with a variety of anxiety issues, including panic attacks, OCD, agoraphobia and health anxiety. We provide self-help advice over our helpline and additional services including CBT-Focused Mentoring, Extra Listening and Anxiety Support Chat.

If you are a keen fundraiser, willing to volunteer to raise money for No Panic in your community, we would like to hear from you.

Activities

· Seeking out opportunities to collect money for No Panic and making the necessary arrangements.

· Organising the stall and collectors.

· Providing records to No Panic of the fundraising activities and achievements.

· Transferring funds.

The amount of time spent on these activities will vary, it is anticipated it will be 3-4 hours per week.

Third Sector Leaders (TSL) Kirklees exists to strengthen, connect, and champion the voluntary, community, and social enterprise (VCSE) sector across the Kirklees district.

What will you be doing?

• Work closely with TSL’s Chief Executive to ensure an effective link between policy, strategy and delivery.
• Effectively lead the Board of Trustees.
• Ensure that the TSL Board follow governance best practice and meet their legal obligations.
• Effectively address any conflicts which may arise between Trustees, ensuring that the Board function as a collective body.
• Chair the TSL Board meetings, ensuring these are effectively managed and accurately recorded.
• Act as a positive ambassador and leader for the Charity with partners, TSL Trustees and the TSL staff team.

TSL Board meetings currently take place during office hours, but this can be reviewed as necessary.

The estimated time commitment is approximately one day per month. Responsibilities include attending and preparing for five Board meetings annually and a monthly meeting with the Chief Executive.
