Content Planner Role Overview: Wekume’s Content Planners work on a team to build out our monthly content calendars. You will report to the Social Media Lead and work closely with our Platform Managers who handle our day-to-day social media presence. Our Platform Managers have what they need at the moment they are ready to post because you will coordinate between them and our Marketing, Digital Graphics, and Videography teams. You will employ your vision and skill for future planning to build out our long term strategy.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop monthly content calendars based on approved content pillars (Education, Inspiration, Community, Fun, etc.).
2. Collaborate with writers, designers, and the social media team to ensure content ideas are aligned with Wekume’s brand voice.
3. Coordinate SRH Tip Days (Tuesdays) and Throwback Days (Thursdays) into the monthly content plan.
4. Integrate key dates like health awareness weeks, university calendars, and Wekume event dates into content planning.
5. Ensure all content is factually accurate, culturally sensitive, and age-appropriate.
6. Work closely with the analytics team to review content performance and adjust strategies for future calendars.
7. Maintain an archive of all published content for historical tracking and future repurposing.

Requirements:

1. Proven experience in content planning, social media management, or digital marketing.
2. Strong organizational skills.
3. Excellent understanding of youth culture, university life, and SRH issues.
4. High level of emotional intelligence—able to handle sensitive topics with respect and professionalism.
5. Ability to meet tight deadlines without sacrificing quality.
6. Familiarity with scheduling tools like Later, Hootsuite, or Buffer
7. Good communication skills—able to pitch ideas clearly and defend content strategies.
8. Attention to detail—a typo in a medical fact? Unacceptable.
9. Bonus: Experience working in a nonprofit, health education, or youth advocacy organization.

Bonus Points If the applicant…

Letting Grow curate workshops, courses and away days for inner city schools and urban communities to improve people’s connection with nature. They turn unused areas in playgrounds into thriving allotments, grow fruit and veg for school kitchens and run tree planting initiatives. Creating green accessible spaces is at the heart of what they do.

Letting Grow is newly registered with the Charity Commission as a CIO and is seeking enthusiastic and experienced trustees to support it to develop good policies, processes and frameworks to ensure it’s long-term sustainability and growth.

Duties

The duties of the board of Trustees for Letting Grow, includes but is not limited to:

· To ensure that Letting Grow pursues its stated objects, as defined in its governing document, by working with the Leadership Team to develop and agree a long-term strategy

· To ensure that Letting Grow complies with its constitution, charity law, company law and any other relevant legislation or regulations

· To ensure that the organisation applies its resources exclusively in pursuance of its charitable objects for the benefit of the public

· To use specific skills, knowledge or experience to help the board of trustees reach sound decisions and further the objectives of the Letting Grow

Person Specification 

All trustees should be willing and able to demonstrate:

Link Age Southwark is a vibrant local charity providing support to over 800 older people in Southwark who are feeling lonely or isolated. Our vision is for friendly local communities where older people and those living with a diagnosis of dementia can thrive in their later years.

Our charity delivers counselling and therapeutic groups for women across Sussex. We are looking for an experienced communications professional to work with to support with all or some of the following:

Communications:

· Help to create a communications plan with the CEO, mapping out key activities and campaigns over the year

Social media:

· Assess our current social media and make recommendations to improve content and engagement

Newsletter:

Outreach:
