Our charity founder and director Nicola Booth in 2012 took the initiative to set up

SPSAS with the purpose to reduce isolation, loneliness, and to promote equal and

fair treatment among Single Parents and their Children. We also aim to help, advise

and support Single / Lone Parents by giving them access to support and services

that normally they would not have access for varied reasons. We also aim to

eliminate the stigma attached with being a single parent in society and across all

ethnicities across the UK. 

Our charity runs solely on donations and all members of our charity including the

director are currently working on a non-paid voluntary basis. Despite these hurdles

We feel we have made a positive impact with our services.

We are seeking Legal advisors to work remotely to conduct research and provide

advice on various areas on law via email to members seeking advice.

Legal Advisor Responsibilities:

 Conducting legal analysis and researching legal matters.

 Providing advice on legal matters.

 Drafting legal opinions, memoranda, and briefing documents.

 Reviewing legal material.

To be considered we require the individual to meet the criteria below

Legal Advisor Requirements:

 Bachelors degree in Law/ currently studying/completed LPC/BPTC

 Strong analytical and research skills.

 Effective interpersonal and communication skills.

 Ability to work well within a team and individually.

 Ability to work long hours when needed.

 Commit to one day a week for a minimum 3-month period

The League of Remembrance have supported Armed Forces veterans, and their families for over 100 years. At the outset they supported the widows of those who never returned from the Great War, and, as they developed, extended this support to encompass all veterans who have served with the Forces of the Crown; their widows, spouses, and dependents; retired nursing staff and, more recently, to those suffering from illness or disability in order to aid their recovery. Today, many of their Remembrance Workers deliver varied volunteer services, mainly in Greater London, but with a presence also in Bucks and Essex. This service to the community maintains and improves individual health and wellbeing, offers companionship and social interaction, and provides valuable community support.

The League of Remembrance is seeking to strengthen its Board with the appointment of two new Trustees. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about supporting veterans and those affected by disability, and who can help shape the future of the charity as they continue to grow and evolve.

In particular, we are keen to hear from candidates with experience in one or more of the following areas:

• Entrepreneurship
• Fundraising and income generation
• Third sector leadership
• Business development or commercial strategy

Trustees have a duty to ensure that the charity is well run, solvent, legally compliant, and working towards the charitable purpose for which it was established, and Trustee roles are an important and a highly rewarding way to support an organisation. East London Waterworks Park is looking for illustrators, animators and graphic designers to help campaign in the creation of our new park with natural swimming ponds.

East London Waterworks Park is a volunteer-led charity that has won a 2024 New London Architecture award and raised £2m towards buying land from the Department for Education to transform the 14-acre Thames Water Depot on Lea Bridge Road on the border of Waltham Forest and Hackney, into a new biodiverse park with natural swimming ponds, forest schools and community spaces. 

We are looking for illustrators, animators and graphic designers to contribute to our community-led working circle who are working on coordinating our digital marketing. 

There is opportunity to lead on projects across content creation, social media, film or any other channels of interest, and facilitate the direction of the working circle.

The Comms Circle currently meets fortnightly on a Tuesday evening on Google Meet and spends voluntary time outside of the meeting completing agreed tasks remotely.

While technical skills are essential, we also value your ability to think creatively and strategically. You should have experience in creating engaging visual content for various platforms that will engage stakeholders and decision makers, such as public reports, presentations for decision makers, social media and websites. Over past decades, enormous advances have been made in our understanding of MS. Research has got us to a critical point, and we can see a future where nobody needs to worry about their MS getting worse. Our Stop MS Appeal needs to raise £100 million to find treatments for everyone with MS.

Our Stop MS Champions help us reach more people and inspire them to get involved in our Stop MS Appeal by encouraging raising funds and awareness by delivering presentations, attending events and identifying new audiences to speak to. Join us at Ickle Pickles, where a small but mighty team makes a significant impact through social media. We run organic campaigns across platforms like Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and X, leveraging CanvaPro to maximise our reach with minimal resources. Now, we're expanding our efforts to TikTok (and possibly BlueSky) to raise awareness about prematurity and connect with new audiences. We need your expertise in resizing, adapting, and manually reposting or scheduling our content on these platforms. To enhance community engagement, your role will also involve monitoring and responding to comments and organising collaborations with our supporters on TikTok.

Explore our TikTok business account (/@icklepicklescharity) to see our initiatives and envision how you can enhance our presence and impact.

Our long-term goal is to become a verified charity on TikTok. Achieving this milestone requires reaching 1,000 followers, allowing us to set up fundraising initiatives on the platform.

Why does it matter?

Each year, over 90,000 babies in the UK are born sick or prematurely. Ickle Pickles is the only charity dedicated to helping hospitals raise funds for lifesaving equipment. We work with neonatal units and families affected by neonatal care across the country. By increasing our reach on TikTok, we can support more families, spread awareness of prematurity and ultimately, increase donations to fund life-saving equipment for premature and sick babies. 

We’re looking for a volunteer from August 2025.

As a member of the GACD Board of Trustees, you will provide strategic leadership and oversight for GACD as it seeks to fulfil its charitable objects. You will ensure GACD operates in accordance with its governing document and meets its legal and regulatory requirements. The role is voluntary, and trustees do not receive any renumeration for their contribution to the governance of GACD.

The appointment will commence in December 2025/January 2026 for a three-year term, in the first instance.

Why the role is important to us

Our trustees are jointly and severally responsible for the overall governance and strategic direction of GACD, its financial health, integrity of its activities, and for setting and overseeing the delivery of the organisation’s aims and objectives. 3. Applied health/medical research, or health research funding.
4. Communication strategies to enhance profile and impact.
5. Links to relevant networks and potential stakeholder organisations in chronic diseases.

What you will do

As a GACD trustee, you will:

1. Ensure that GACD has a clear strategy and that the goals are in line with GACD’s charitable objects.
2. Ensure GACD functions within all applicable legal and regulatory requirements and in line with its governing document, continually striving for best practice in governance.
3. Promote and develop GACD in order for it to grow and maintain its global public benefit (or to recognise the situation when it may be more appropriate to wind the charity up where there is no longer a need to provide the services it does or because the charitable objects are no longer relevant to contemporary social situations).
4. Ensure the effective and efficient administration of GACD and its resources in pursuit of its objects, striving for best practice in governance.
5. Ensure that key risks are identified, monitored, and mitigated effectively.
6. Take appropriate professional advice in all matters where there may be a material risk to GACD, or where the trustees may be in breach of their duties.
7. Provide strategic oversight, support and challenge to the Chief Executive.
8. Ensure the GACD has the proper arrangements in place for the appointment, supervision, support, appraisal and remuneration of the Chief Executive.
9. Safeguard the good name and values of GACD.

About you

You possess:

1. A willingness to commit to GACD and to devote the necessary time and effort (approximately four days annually, including scrutinising papers and meeting preparation time). Trustees are expected to attend all Board meetings.
2. Leadership and senior management experience with an ability to carry the confidence of colleagues.
3. An ability to be strategic and forward-looking in relation to the charity’s objects and aims.
4. Sound, independent judgment and a willingness to speak your mind, contributing to discussions.

Trustees must not be disqualified from acting as a trustee. You must not:

1. Have an unspent conviction for an offence involving deception or dishonesty (such as fraud).
2. Be bankrupt or have entered into a formal arrangement (e.g. an Individual Voluntary Arrangement).
3. Have been removed as a charity trustee because of wrongdoing.
4. Have an unspent conviction for:
   1. Specified terrorism offences
   2. A specified money laundering offence
   3. The offence of contravening a Charity Commission Order or Direction
   4. Offences of misconduct in public office, perjury, or perverting the course of justice
   5. For aiding, attempting or abetting the above offences.
5. Be on the sex offenders register.
6. Have an unspent sanction for contempt of Court.
7. Have disobeyed a Commission Order.
8. Be a designated person (under specific anti-terrorist legislation).

The Together Plan is a UK registered charity, promoting community capacity building, with a current focus on Belarus and Eastern Europe, through research, exploration, cultural events and dialogue. We help communities discover what can be achieved collectively, working alongside community members to develop skills and knowledge while providing the necessary training to build a sustainable future.

The Together Plan draws its inspiration for projects around three central pillars – ‘past’, ‘present’ and ‘future’ and each project drives a central belief which can be distilled into one line … Jewish people, wherever they are, are not alone.

The Together Plan is looking for pro-bono support to help maintain and expand our current Salesforce solution. We are looking to develop a long term relationship with a volunteer (or two) from the Salesforce ecosystem. Time commitment is expected to be on average 5 hours a month and maybe a little more if there is a specific project ongoing.

Role Duties

• Dashboard / Report creation for specific campaigns / opportunity needs

• Troubleshooting when necessary (time critical)

• Taking a weekly system backup

• Proactively thinking of new solutions to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the work of the charity

• Facilitating the introduction and set-up of new features / integrations

Role Length

• 6+ months

Time Requirement

• between 2 and 8 hours per month, depending on the month, with occasional email use outside these hours.

• This role can be performed outside of regular office hours.
