Ace of Clubs (AoC) is an independent charity based in Clapham that supports individuals experiencing homelessness. Each day we serve a hot meal to around 200 adults who are experiencing homelessness, adversity and hunger. Alongside this we offer a range of other direct services including showers, clothing, laundry, health support and advice.
This role is ideal for individuals looking to make a positive impact in the community while gaining valuable insight to the health/social care sector at a longstanding direct-service charity. As a Volunteer, you will mainly support our delivery of a high quality lunch service.
Duties include:

Summary
Missing People is recruiting volunteers with expertise in economics to support the early planning of a project exploring the economic impact of missing episodes and the harms experienced by individuals while missing. This work will inform the development of a robust, evidence-based estimate of the cost of a missing episode and the socio-economic return on investment (ROI) of prevention efforts.

Someone is reported missing every 90 seconds in the UK. Missing People is the only UK charity dedicated to reconnecting missing people and their loved ones. Our services include:

By supporting us to develop a compelling economic case for prevention, you’ll play a vital role in shaping how missing incidents are understood and addressed across the UK. We will use the information to influence nationally: sharing the figures with key decision-makers in government, policing, health and social care. This work will strengthen our case for funding essential services that prevent repeat missing episodes and support the development of more effective early intervention strategies.
We’ve already begun exploring this work but need additional external expertise to guide our planning and approach. As such we are recruiting new volunteer Economics Advisors. Advisors will be asked to:

Attend and participate in monthly project planning meeting (1-2 hours via video call, scheduled flexibly on weekdays or evenings) for a period of 6 months.

Here at Youth4Youth, we have grown a strong, tight-knit community of individuals who are passionate about making a difference and improving the lives of young people across the UK. Who are we?
Switchboard LGBTQIA+ exists to provide members of the LGBTQIA+ community, as well as their friends, family and those supporting them, with a listening service that they can contact via phone, instant message and email between the hours of 10am to 10pm every day.
We are happy to talk to service users about any topic they wish. Topics we often talk to service users about include: sexual health, safer sex, relationships, coming-out, gender identity, transitioning, mental health, experiences of hate crimes, support for meeting other LGBTQIA+ people and making friends, and much more.
However, we want to also be upfront and transparent about the fact that not all of our conversations are positive or constructive. Our volunteers can also be exposed to abuse from the public, manipulative callers, sexual fantasies and safeguarding concerns.
What is our over 50's club?
Our over 50's club is a new initiative for Switchboard.
We want to create a space that enables older members of the LGBTQIA+ community to volunteer with us on our phone lines and instant messaging service, whilst providing a social element that encourages volunteers to come together at our London HQ.
This club will meet on both Mondays and Tuesdays during the day (you can choose which day works better for you), completing a shift either between 10am to 1pm or 2:00pm to 5:00pm. You can join us weekly or bi-weekly, whichever you prefer.
We then come together between 1pm and 2:00pm to have lunch (paid for by us) and a good natter!
Volunteers who support Switchboard in this capacity are trained to take both phone calls and respond to instant messages. They do not respond to emails, however.

In the challenging times following a terminal diagnosis or the death of a loved one, the Hospice has a range of support available. The Man Shed provides an alternative to formal support, enabling ‘Shedders’ to spend time with others in similar situations while engaging in a purposeful activity, learning new skills and enjoying friendship and support along the way. The primary aim of the Man Shed is to be a place to talk with others about anything and everything. Volunteers also help ‘Shedders’ to plan and safely work on their DIY projects, and make sure sessions run smoothly.
We’re looking for Man Shed Session Leader Volunteers for all sessions but especially Mondays and Thursdays. This is a weekly commitment of 6 hours per week, you will commit to 2 sessions on 1 day per week. Sessions take place from 10.30am-12.30pm and 1.30-3.30pm, with some time required to set up and leave the workshop tidy afterwards.

Create and run GoogleAds Campaigns, driving traffic to specific areas of Breadwinners Website. Maximise the use of Google Ads Grants. Report campaigns status and creation on the Breadwinners spreadsheet.

Breadwinners is an ambitious grassroots charity set up in April 2016. We provide Londoners with the best organic artisan bread while empowering refugees through employment, work experience, entrepreneurship opportunities, training and mentoring.
Today, Breadwinners sell the highest quality organic artisan bread on farmers markets across London and Brighton, and has a wholesale model, employing refugees. We are the first stepping stone for unemployed refugees and young people seeking asylum into a safe and supportive working environment, where they can gain the skills, confidence and experience to move into long term work and improve their wellbeing.

Our Mission is to deliver a structured and transformative education in the Essentials of Islam in a way that lowers barriers to access, develops a deep certainty, and inspires action.
Why Does Roots Academy Exist?
Crisis of Faith: 1 in 4 young Muslims are leaving the religion due to various factors, primarily the pervasive anti-religious content and temptations they encounter online and offline.
Roots Academy exists to bridge this gap by providing a structured and transformative Islamic education that speaks directly to the needs and challenges of young Muslims today, delivered in an engaging and accessible form that removes barriers to access and provokes thought and action.
Role Summary.
As a Graphic Designer, you will be instrumental in shaping the visual identity of Roots Academy UK. From designing educational resources and social media assets to crafting digital campaigns and event materials, your work will ensure our content reflects excellence, clarity, and spiritual depth. You will help bring Islamic learning to life through purposeful, polished, and impactful design.
Key tasks

Design Development: Create visually compelling graphics for use across social media, email, web, presentations, and print.

Brand Consistency: Ensure all visual materials align with Roots Academy’s brand guidelines and Islamic values.

Content Support: Collaborate with the social media and education teams to translate ideas and scripts into polished, engaging visuals.

Template Creation: Build easy-to-edit templates for internal teams to use (e.g., Canva or Google Slides).

Trend Awareness: Stay up to date on design and content trends, especially within the faith-based and youth development space.

Project Management: Maintain organized design files and deliver work in a timely manner.
What we’re looking for

Strong design portfolio demonstrating creativity, clarity, and alignment with brand guidelines.

Experience using tools like Canva, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or Figma.

Attention to detail and a strong sense of layout, typography, and visual hierarchy.

Ability to take direction while contributing creative input.

A deep understanding of Islamic values and visual modesty in design.

Experience designing for social media platforms (Instagram, YouTube, TikTok).

Excellent communication and time-management skills.
