About This Role: Volunteer Quality Assurance Engineer
Location: Remote
Commitment: Part‑time (volunteer, unpaid role)

Summary of Role:
As a Volunteer Quality Assurance Engineer with us, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and user experience of Solution Community’s digital products. You will design and execute test cases, identify defects, and collaborate closely with engineering and product teams to support smooth, stable releases. Your work directly contributes to building a platform that empowers global compassion and action.
What Will You Do?

Develop and execute manual test cases for web and mobile features

Identify, document, and track defects using internal tools

Validate bug fixes and support regression testing before releases

Collaborate with developers, product owners, and designers to clarify requirements and ensure testability

Participate in sprint ceremonies and contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes

Create and maintain test documentation, checklists, and quality standards

Provide clear, actionable feedback to improve user experience and product reliability
Who Are We Looking For?

3-5 years of experience with manual QA testing for web or mobile applications

Familiarity with test case design, defect reporting, and regression testing

Strong attention to detail and ability to think from a user perspective

Strong communication and collaboration skills

Ability to work independently in a remote, fast‑moving environment

We’re seeking a creative and organised Social Media Manager to help shape and grow our online presence. You will manage our social channels, create engaging content, and help build a vibrant digital community around Scottish heritage and the Lyonic Scots story.
What You’ll Do

Manage and grow our social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok, LinkedIn)

Create and schedule engaging posts, updates, and heritage‑themed content

Work with our Content Creators, Designers, and Filmmakers to produce multimedia content
