Duties and key responsibilities:
Content development:
- Work with the Information and Content Manager to research, write, edit and produce new information materials including print publications, web pages, videos, etc.
- Work in line with Sarcoma UK’s information production process, including:
- Liaise with clinical experts and patient reviewers throughout the content development process

Befriending Scheme Coordinator

We have an exciting part time opportunity to join our Befriending Service which aims to ease loneliness and isolation of older people across Dacorum.
You will be responsible for coordinating our volunteers who either provide companionship through home visits or friendly telephone chats. You will also help to promote volunteering throughout Dacorum.

As you will be required to travel throughout the Dacorum area, a full driving licence with daily use of a car is essential.
Main purpose of Role
The purpose of the role is to coordinate the Befriending Service by carefully matching volunteers to visit an older lonely, isolated person in their own home to provide friendship and company.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and record referrals for the befriending scheme from a variety of health and social care professionals, voluntary organisations, or family and friends
- Make contact with potential clients by undertaking initial telephone assessments and carrying out initial assessment visits, taking time to understand the needs of the clients and to assess suitability for the befriending scheme
- Actively recruit volunteers for both the visiting service. This will include interviewing potential volunteers and completion of DBS and references checks
- Provide individual inductions for all new volunteers recruited within the locality, ensuring that volunteers are appropriately trained to carry out their befriending role
- Carefully match volunteers with a client to ensure compatibility, and personally introduce visiting volunteers to clients
- Maintain regular contact with volunteers and clients to offer ongoing support and advice
- Manage and organise own administration work, ensuring that it is accurate and meets quality targets

Purpose of the Collections Documentation Officer role is to:
The Museum is looking for an experienced Collections Documentation Officer to join the team at an exciting time as we progress our Strategy to 2030 and continue the development phase of a National Lottery Heritage Fund supported programme of investment at our Midlands site.
You will help to administer the preparation of our collections to move to a new storage facility as well as provide admin support to the Museum’s Collections Review and Transfer programmes. - Compiling, verifying and maintaining detailed and accurate records for Museum objects and Collections Management activities, ensuring conformity with Spectrum standards
- Reviewing documentation backlogs in support of the Midlands Development Programme
- Supporting in facilitating physical and electronic access to the collection and collections information via contributions to the Collections Review, Loans Review, Transfer and location coding projects
- Supporting in gathering and researching provenance and hazards information for objects within the collection, including digitisation of records
- Supporting in the handling and movement of a wide range of materials, ranging from boxes of documents to heavy machinery, where required
- Delivering Collections Management and CMS support to Museum staff and volunteers, including provision of forms and Object Numbers

What we are looking for in our Collections Documentation Officer:
- A relevant degree in conservation or equivalent experience
- Experience of working (paid or voluntary) in a museum or heritage organisation
- Displays enthusiasm around activities, adopting a positive approach when interacting with others, and motivating team members
- Uses experience and knowledge of standard practices, procedures or customs to evaluate problems and make appropriate decisions/provide appropriate advice
- Full, clean driving licence and willingness to drive hire cars and vans
- Experience of working to international museum standards for the transportation, packing and handling of museum objects
- Experience working at height for object installation and de-installation work
- Current first aid certification (or willingness to gain certification

About the role
Crisis Skylight Oxford supports people experiencing homelessness. The service is based in the Old Fire Station alongside an Arts Centre open to the public. As the Reception Manager (Skylight Coordinator) you will ensure that the reception area runs efficiently and effectively and is a warm, supportive space to anyone needing our support. You will manage the reception team and volunteers, ensuring the provision of good advice, information, and guidance.
About you
To be successful in this role you will have experience of managing a busy reception where people have presented with a wide range of issues and challenges. You will have experience of working with disadvantaged or socially excluded groups or individuals, either as part of a paid role or in a voluntary capacity. This role includes line management responsibilities so you will need experience of managing staff and/or volunteers. You will have good admin skills, with strong oral skills including the ability to communicate key information clearly and precisely. This would be a great opportunity for someone who is already working within the sector or someone with voluntary experience who wants to use their Reception Manager experience to help end homelessness.

Job Purpose:
The Fundraising and Administration Officer role primarily focuses on providing excellent supporter care and administrative support within the fundraising department. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining supporter relations, optimising fundraising efforts, and ensuring efficient administrative processes are in place.
Key Responsibilities:
Supporter Care:
- To be a first point of contact for the Fundraising Department, answering the phone and meeting and greeting people who arrive to the office.
- Respond to enquiries from supporters, prospective supporters and volunteers via telephone, e-mail, and post, maintaining excellent supporter relations.
- Ensure timely and appropriate acknowledgments, using both standard and bespoke correspondence.
- To adhere to administrative procedures to ensure the delivery of a high-quality service which is compliant with all relevant legislation, policies, regulations, and guidelines.
- Provide admin support for Direct Mail letters and appeals, including the use of mail merge, when required.
- Assist with the ongoing stewardship of Regular Givers.
Community Fundraising:
- Co-ordinate the recruitment and appropriate use of volunteers to support fundraising.
- Develop relationships with volunteer fundraisers, with the aim of maximising the funds they raise through challenges, events and talks.
- Support the formation of volunteer fundraising groups.
- Support ongoing and new events within the UK, which may include occasional weekend and evening work.
- Take the lead with the co-ordination and administration of public collections in the UK.
- Take the lead in monitoring fundraising merchandise, and liaise with suppliers, for fundraising materials, including Christmas Cards.
Digital Marketing:
- Support in developing UK digital fundraising opportunities.
- Administer digital acquisition campaigns in the UK e.g. through digital advertising, to generate new donors.
Database Management (Training will be provided):
- Create and maintain contact records on Salesforce, ensuring supporter information is kept up to date by recording changes to mailing preferences, gift aid eligibility and contact details etc.
- Database maintenance and housekeeping e.g. identifying and merging duplicate records, removing, or archiving redundant data, adhering to GDPR protocols.
Finance Administration (Training will be provided):
- Efficiently process and reconcile incoming donations, received daily by post, online and phone. Bank cheques and cash on a weekly basis, and process credit card and CAF donations.
- Record all donations to Salesforce, ensuring the accurate coding of income to the correct source and supporter.
- Administer new Direct Debit instructions.
- Support monthly and quarterly reports demonstrating fundraising income received against budget, to inform the management team and provide accurate forecasting.
- Scan and upload credit card statements and invoices for payment by the Finance team.
- Record and reconcile petty cash expenditure.
- Assist the Finance team in the reconciliation of all income received, responding to any queries.
General Office Administration:
- Order office stationery and fundraising supplies, as required.
- Co-ordinate general office maintenance, as required.
- Arrange accommodation for staff travel to Shrewsbury.

This is an exciting opportunity to provide clinical leadership and supervision to a number of therapeutic services within Richmond Borough Mind. Our developed and respected Psychotherapy and Counselling Service has been providing long-term counselling interventions to local residents since 1988. The service is self-funded and offers a range of therapies which aim to provide individuals with the support and opportunity to work through their difficulties in depth with a skilled and experienced trainee or fully qualified therapist. Sliding scale rates are offered to make sure that we are accessible to all. We also run a number of therapeutic, psychoeducational, support and peer-led one to one sessions and groups, training workshops and other activities.
We are looking for a skilled and qualified (or in advance training) counselling supervisor to provide clinical supervision, leadership, management and service development of our Psychotherapy and Counselling service. Knowledge and understanding of a number of modalities would be an asset. Part of the role will be to help us achieve and maintain BACP or equivalent service accreditation and to grow the service.
