We have a great opportunity for an Advice & Wellbeing Specialist to join the team on a permanent basis. In this Outreach role you’ll be working predominantly in our Reading & Oxford communities, with one day a week working from our Houghton Hall office in Houghton Regis
As an Advice and Wellbeing Specialist, you will report to the Advice and Wellbeing Team Leader. You’ll deliver proactive and trauma informed support to meet the holistic needs of residents. Your support will be tailored to your resident’s needs, and you will work closely with them to understand their wellbeing concerns and agree an action plan to enable them to sustain their tenancies and feel connected to their community. You will empower residents to manage their wellbeing needs by helping them to develop and maintain skills and resilience to lead independent and fulfilled lives.
You will work collaboratively with wider teams, statutory services external advice and support services to ensure residents have the appropriate support. You will build partnerships with external stakeholders in your area to ensure there is a strong network for support for our residents. You will also be delivering advice and wellbeing support in community wellbeing hubs and providing peer support to colleagues.

A bit about the role:
You will work closely and collaboratively with residents in their homes and neighbourhoods to understand their immediate needs, as well as their wider goals and aspirations to achieve sustainable outcomes. You will do this through a mix of direct support and advocacy, as well as exceptional partnership working with other Peabody teams, our contractors, statutory and voluntary services, and by supporting local wellbeing projects.
Some of the key results for the role include:
- As the Advice and Wellbeing Specialist, you will be providing holistic wellbeing support that supports residents to sustain their tenancies successfully.
- Actively build strong partnerships with other Peabody teams, housing associations, local authorities, statutory and voluntary services to promote effective multi-agency working and information sharing.
- Work with the Allocations, Financial Inclusion and Neighbourhoods teams to target early tenancy support to new residents who need this and ensure others know how to access your support if facing any difficulties in the future.
- Support the delivery and promotion of wellbeing hubs and cafes, as well as other projects in your region.
An enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check is required for this role and requires a full, clean driving licence. This role will be covering the Oxford and Reading area.
A minimum of 2 to 3 days working in the office/covering your patch is required; the other days can be worked from home, or a local office.
Weekly hours Monday - Friday, 09.00 - 17.00 with occasional outside of hours work.

- Design, implement, and lead strategic initiatives and projects for a more just use of money, especially developing individual and church learning and action on the financial system and wider economy, managing people and budgets.

Conduct training and produce written resources in a variety of media for churches and individuals to understand the financial system and wider economy and to take tangible action.

The role
As Community Fundraiser you will manage and develop myaware’s community events and support in aid of fundraisers. You will create and manage corporate and community partnerships, alongside community volunteers, to achieve maximum fundraising income for myaware, working to agreed budget and plans, and assisting with budget and strategy creation when required. Summary
The Wikimedia Foundation is the non-profit organization that operates Wikipedia – one of the most popular websites in the world, viewed 15 billion times every month. Alongside the Wikimedia Foundation, our movement is composed of affiliate organizations, independent organizations established to support volunteers in a specific language, region or topic. Affiliates are funded by the Wikimedia Foundation, and some in independent fundraising to support their activities.
The Wikimedia Foundation seeks a Fundraising Training Consultant to work with Wikimedia affiliates to grow and develop their fundraising processes and capacity. In this one-year, 30 hour/week contract role (with potential option for renewal) you will be responsible for working with affiliates to understand their fundraising needs and challenges, and to provide them strategic guidance and support as they put in place necessary structures and processes that will aid their fundraising efforts. This role will focus on building the capacity of affiliates to raise funds from a variety of new-to-the-movement donors, including government, multinational and multilateral funding opportunities, and local high networth individuals, as well as advising on systems and structures (e.g. Board composition) for strategic fundraising.
With affiliates located around the globe, the person in this role will need to be skilled in relationship management and cross-cultural communication. This role involves close collaboration with affiliate fundraisers and leadership. Our Regional Advisers are home-based workers who are compassionate and dedicated to responding to the needs of Freemasons and their dependents in their area, providing essential support. Main responsibilities

You will be organised, have the ability to multi task and form positive working relationships with both internal customers and stakeholders.
You will need:

Confident, compassionate and empathic person who can work well under pressure. You will be speaking to people who may be upset, angry or in emotional difficulties and will need to be composed, empathic and be able to quickly assess situations.
You will be confident in using your IT skills to work on a case management system, access phone and online systems, email and Microsoft Office programmes.
