We’re looking for a Senior STH Practitioner who can manage the delivery of high quality and effective Social and Therapeutic Horticulture (STH) programmes in London for adults and young people with a range of disabilities and health conditions.

We’re looking for candidates who have proven experience of managing a team and an understanding of how STH programmes can benefit individuals and improve lives.  We need someone with horticultural knowledge and experience to plan the seasonal horticultural resources required for our programs and delivery spaces.

Based at Thrive’s London centre in Battersea Park. Some days will be spent at outreach centres within London, requiring some travel. The role will involve occasional travel to the Thrive Centres in Reading and Birmingham.

About the role

The Senior People Partner at NCVO is a key role within the People, Culture & Inclusion team. The postholder will oversee the day-to-day operations of the team, and drive initiatives across recruitment, people management, culture and inclusion.

We are searching for a Peer Mentor Facilitator to join our mental health services. The role of the peer mentor facilitator will be to help with the smooth running of the Mind BLMK mentoring service and act as a mentor to service users. The ideal candidate will understand the recovery journey through a goal setting approach to improve mental health and wellbeing.

Our peer support services are a key element of our provisions, and we are looking for someone who can use their own lived experiences to provide support to help individuals achieve their goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and facilitate the use of volunteer peer mentors across Bedfordshire, in line with Mind BLMK’s peer support model, operational policies and procedures (assessments, Mentor/Mentee introductions, goal setting, reviews).
• Facilitate initial Mentor / Mentee introductions, identify set goals for the relationship and ensure regular reviews are held.
• Work closely with the Peer Support Services Manager to recruit volunteer peer mentors to meet contract requirements and provide the infrastructure they need to deliver this support safely and confidently.
• Maintain an effective volunteer peer mentor workforce assisted by the Peer Support Services Manager for the service in line with Mind BLMK’s policies, procedures and guidance (recruitment, workload coordination, support, training and development of volunteers).
• Ensure that support is given to peer mentors through regular peer group support meetings and one-to-one meetings as appropriate.
• Carry out Cash Handling, Health and Safety and Data Collection responsibilities in line with Mind BLMK’s policies, procedures, requirements and guidance.

Introduction

What's the role about?

You will work closely with your team and wider organisation colleagues to implement solicitation strategies, to secure financial support either by direct solicitation, preparing a written proposal, or working with senior management to make a solicitation.

You will contribute to the planning of and participate actively in events (face to face and online) to build relationships with donors and prospects for future income and to demonstrate the impact of gifts already received.

You will arrange and attend meetings with individual donors at a variety of venues, including our reserves, working closely with area and reserve colleagues to deliver an excellent experience for our supporters.

You will build effective relationships both within the RSPB and external to it that will enhance its reputation and ultimately secure funding. This includes understanding donors’ wishes and aspirations and identifying links with approved priority projects with the aim of securing substantial gifts.

Essential skills, knowledge and experience:

• Intermediate levels of fundraising as demonstrated by work successes and recognised fundraising courses.
• Experience in how to research and cultivate a prospect. And understanding of how to write a cultivation strategy.
• Ability to write funding proposals, reports and updates, and prepare briefing documents in advance of meetings and events.
• Competent in the use of a CRM system (Salesforce), the Microsoft suite, other databases, research tools and methods.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
• Ability to work collaboratively with team members, and people and teams outside of our department.
• Good judgement when working with donors and ability to recognise potentially sensitive areas between prospects and the RSPB to ensure reputational values are maintained.
• Successful management and development of donor relationships leading to substantial support (6- and 7-figure gifts).

Cynthia Spencer Hospice, based in Northampton, is seeking a Head of Commercial to lead and implement a commercial strategy to maximise profitable income streams in support of the Hospice’s work.

This is an exciting opportunity for a senior retail professional to bring an entrepreneurial vision and shape this area of income for the charity. You will be responsible for managing their current commercial businesses and seeking out new, exciting commercial opportunities to support annual profit growth. You will also inspire and manage a diverse team of staff and volunteers and ensuring delivery of project milestones and financial targets.

The successful candidate will have retail sector management and development at a senior level, alongside experience of e-commerce, multi-site management and strategic planning and development. You will have a proven track record in people management across paid and volunteer resource and the charity would like to see evidence of driving profit improvement by at least 20% within a three year period. Alongside your strong commercial and financial acumen, you will have plenty of ideas about new business opportunities and/or experience of development and trialling of new business and alternative trading models. The role

The Development Manager (Philanthropy and Fundraising) position marks an exciting new chapter at The Carers' Centre. In this pivotal role, you will lead income generation efforts for our forward-thinking local charity. You will be responsible for identifying new sources of unrestricted income, strengthening existing income streams, and building strong relationships with both new and established supporters.

Success in this role will be evaluated based on mutually agreed Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) such as campaign engagement, donor retention and income growth.

Main responsibilities

In line with our income generation strategy:

· Lead on the strategic planning and implementation of income generation activities to help build sustainability of The Carers’ Centre and its services for 19,600 unpaid carers across Bath and North East Somerset.

· Develop and implement a stewardship programme for donors and funders building support and securing new income for The Carers’ Centre.

· Work collaboratively with colleagues to help deliver The Carers’ Centre vision for carers.

Income generation

· Design and deliver a diverse income generation plan to support philanthropy and fundraising in line with The Carers’ Centre Strategic Plan.

· Co-produce annual philanthropy and fundraising targets and take the lead responsibility to instigate and co-ordinate the activity that will achieve them.

· Build long-lasting relationships with key local philanthropists, donors, and funders.

· Work proactively with colleagues to research, identify and scope a portfolio of compelling projects and proposals that will appeal to donors and funders.

· Work closely with communication colleagues to develop appropriate communications campaigns and activities for different supporter groups.

· Contribute towards the charity’s communications and marketing strategy ensuring fundraising is embedded.

· Develop, maintain, and implement relevant policies and procedures in line with our growth plans.

· Provide effective line management and support to direct reports to help them maximise their potential and effectiveness.

Contract Managers are responsible for the effective management of all contracts within their designated patch, including line managing the relevant front line staff. Leadership and competence development in direct reports is a key responsibility of the role.

The working pattern for this role is Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm. This is a 6 month contract until 03/2026.

What you'll do:
- Drive business planning activities within your contract, ensuring relevant and challenging objective setting and ongoing performance tracking, developing turn around action plans as may be necessary
- Work with the Young People directorate, contributing to and delivering the vision and strategy of our pathway
- Maintaining excellent relationships with the local council, commissioning team, landlords, and housing team

Shout Out UK (SOUK) is a UK-based award-winning political and media literacy organisation with nearly a decade of experience in delivering impactful educational campaigns. Our mission is to defend and amplify democracy by equipping individuals with the critical thinking skills needed to navigate the complex information landscape and engage as informed, active citizens. The Position:

You will be joining our small, passionate NGO to manage our programme implementation and delivery. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be tasked with managing the distribution and delivery of our programmes. This will involve ensuring KPIs are met within budget and on time, larger projects may be handled by you directly at times. Programmes can vary from delivery of media literacy workshops in schools, counter extremism training in PRUs to city-wide democratic engagement campaigns.
