Role Summary.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Email Marketing Officer to support the planning and delivery of email campaigns that engage and inspire our audience. You will be responsible for creating, scheduling, and optimising emails to strengthen communication with students, parents, and supporters. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the email marketing efforts of a growing international education platform.
Key tasks

Design, build, and schedule email campaigns using email marketing tools.

About the Role
A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join the Smart Works Scotland (SWS) Board of Trustees as Trustee and Treasurer
Our Trustees support all aspects of our work, with the aim of providing strategic support, governance and assurance that enables us to continue to deliver our core service and increase the number of women we can support into work by dressing and coaching women for interview and job success.
As Treasurer, you will work with the Chair and Head of Smart Works Scotland to ensure the charity is well-run and effective, and with Smart Works Charity on key financial activities throughout the financial year.
The Treasurer has oversight of the financial strategy and management of Smart Works Scotland, monitoring the financial health of the charity and ensuring the wider Board are provided with the financial information they need to make well considered decisions. This includes producing monthly management accounts and monitoring monthly income with the Head of Scotland and the relevant staff members.

Nomad Health Initiative addresses the interconnected social and environmental challenges that affect the health and survival of nomadic and pastoralist communities in Northern Kenya, particularly in regions like Moyale and North Horr. These challenges include:

Limited Access to Healthcare • Challenge: Nomadic families live in remote, scattered Manyattas, often over 50 km from the nearest health facility. • Impact: Women miss antenatal care, babies remain unimmunized, and preventable illnesses go untreated, leading to high infant and maternal mortality rates.

Marginalization of Nomadic Communities • Challenge: Pastoralist populations are often excluded from national health planning due to their mobility and lack of infrastructure. • Impact: They are underserved in health budgets, data collection, and public health outreach, widening the health equity gap.

Malnutrition and Child Mortality • Challenge: Chronic drought, food insecurity, and displacement have led to rising malnutrition rates among children under 5. • Impact: Increased cases of stunting, wasting, and preventable deaths — often undetected until critical.

Make a difference – become a school governor

- Experience working with children, educators / teachers and parents in school settings
- A clear and visible passion for improving the health and wellbeing of children through nutrition and lifestyle
- Some formal training in working with children, for example as teacher, Head Teacher, teaching assistant, educationalist, health/sport coach
- Strong management and leadership experience and skills
- A natural ability to inspire others
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage projects effectively
- Articulate written, visual and verbal communicator - fluency in English is essential
- Experience and interest in working with authorities (ideal but not essential)
As a team of volunteers, we are ever so grateful to everyone who agrees to contribute some of their valuable time to the project. As a Team Leader we ask for a commitment of 5-6 hours per week (on average).

About South Hill Park
Set up in 1973, South Hill Park Trust manages two theatres, a dance studio, creative spaces and a cinema within the grounds of an 18th century mansion house in Bracknell, Berkshire, with a long history, now as a prominent centre for arts within the South East.
South Hill Park hosts over 300 artistic, musical and theatrical events a year, featuring a range of personalities from internationally renowned to emerging new talents. SHP offer a busy programme of over 250 courses, workshops and events, and attracts an average of 250,000 visitors a year to the park.
The charity is independently governed by a Board of trustees and has an income of more than £2m p.a
The role and what we are looking for in a new trustee
Trustees are the people who make the top-level decisions for our charity. Our Board includes people with experience in the arts and in our community, and we’d expect new trustees to have strong empathy with our cause and what we offer as our services and facilities.
You don’t necessarily need prior experience of charity trusteeship, as support from local charity-support organisations is always available. Full induction to our organisation will be provided, plus specialist support as a new trustee including access to external training, as needed.
We are looking to add a range of skills from several trustees we hope to appoint to our Board, although we don’t expect any one trustee to have all of these abilities, experience and understanding:
- Finance
- Fundraising
- Marketing, PR, social media
- Legal, regulatory, compliance
- Customer experience
- People development, people management
If you can think strategically and plan long-term, you have the primary skills needed by our trustees; you’ll also need to be able to work collectively with other Board members. Support from our paid employees is always available, as they will be dealing with the day-to-day running of the organisation.
We are looking for people from a variety of backgrounds to join our charity. We want to expand the diversity of our board, in all meanings of the word, and strongly welcome applications from people from less-represented groups.
The focus of a trustee role is strategic, and trustees will not be expected to get involved in the organisation’s operations on a day-to-day basis; however, contact and liaison with other trustees and employees is expected.
We ask for about four hours of your time per month, which includes six Board meetings per year, trustee discussions, etc. You will need access to digital communications, as much of our charity’s business is run that way.
Location & time commitment
Our Board meets every two months, on a weekday evening at 6pm (days/dates agreed in advance), for up to three hours, at South Hill Park mansion, RG12 7PA.
Our trustees are our Ambassadors, are expected to also meet with stakeholders, our staff and to join appropriate sub-committees as needed.
You are asked to dedicate a minimum of four hours per month to the role, preferably more; including preparation for and attendance at Board and other meetings; some of your duties may be carried out online and by phone/video, as well as face-to-face.
It would be expected that during your first few months as a trustee, the time needed for your familiarisation, induction and training my exceed those suggested hours, and at other times of year, such as our AGM, or in representation at events, etc., more time may be asked of you.
All trustees are expected to have contact with and meet people who use the services and facilities at SHP.
Trustees’ Term of Office is four years, with an option to be elected for an additional Term.
The focus of this role is strategic and you will not be managing the organisation on a day-to-day basis; however, regular contact and liaison with the CEO is expected.

We’re particularly seeking someone with experience of marketing and communications to complement the skills and backgrounds of existing Trustees. The role will oversee the formulation and implementation of CHEER’s marketing and communication strategy, providing guidance and support to the Board and team to ensure successful execution.
If you have an interest in the issues surrounding the elderly living in the UK, a desire to give those who need it, a helping hand and support along with a background in marketing and communications – with digital marketing a particular advantage - we’d love to hear from you.

CHEER:
Is a registered charity serving the local community of Elmbridge for over 60 years. Our mission is to provide advice, friendship, and support to help older community in Elmbridge lead full, dignified and independent lives. We do so through delivery of 5 core services (befriending, benefits, events, signposting and CHEER’s Parkinson’s group) designed to reduce loneliness and social isolation and alleviate financial hardship.
We consistently achieve remarkable things with minimal resources and are often told we have changed people's lives relying on a dedicated team of staff, trustees and volunteers to deliver these essential and beneficial services.
Trustee role:
Our trustees are all volunteers, most of whom live or work in the local community, and all of whom use their skills, knowledge and experience to guide and govern our service, shape strategy, and give direction to the charity. We are a small and friendly team, collectively responsible for CHEER and each enjoying the chance to contribute to our community.
The main responsibilities of a trustee are:

Formulating and reviewing CHEER’s vision, values, and strategic direction

Establishing and monitoring policies to provide guidance for staff

Ensuring compliance with the Charity’s governing document and the law

Ensuring accountability to such bodies as the Charities Commission, donors, staff and volunteers

Managing the Charity’s resources responsibly
-
Contributing to the discharge of the Board’s duties and effective Board performance
-
Promoting the charity and protecting its excellent reputation

Appointing staff, giving them guidance and support

Monitoring the Charity’s performance

All trustees are expected to adopt Nolan’s seven principles of public life: selflessness, integrity, objectivity, accountability, openness, honesty and leadership
Generally, a minimum of 4-6 hours a month, occasionally more. This includes: 4x Board meetings a year, plus the annual AGM dates of which are flexible. Helping staff with advice and enquiries on an ad hoc basis and/or additional support such as working with other trustees or members of staff on key projects.
The role is predominantly home-based, and board meetings normally take place in a venue in Elmbridge.

Introduction
The Passage is establishing a new Special Events Fundraising Committee to support the Senior Events and Community Manager, with the primary goal of growing income from Special Events and attracting new supporters to The Passage.
Purpose of the Committee
- The purpose of the committee is to support The Passage’s Senior Events and Community Manager in delivering successful fundraising events that generate significant income and expand The Passage’s network of supporters. Specifically, the Committee will:
- Work collaboratively with the Senior Events and Community Manager to meet or exceed fundraising goals through special events.
- Source exclusive, money-can’t-buy auction items and experiences to enhance the appeal and revenue of live and silent auctions.
- Leverage personal and professional networks to sell tickets and tables for events like A Little Night Music and the Sports Quiz.
- Introduce new supporters to The Passage through event participation.
- Explore and implement creative ways to promote The Passage’s events to a wider audience, increasing awareness and attendance.
- Utilise personal and professional networks to identify potential corporate sponsors.
- Leverage connections to bring celebrities or high-profile individuals to the event to increase its visibility and appeal.
- Assist in innovation of the Special events portfolio.

Youth Helpers work directly with young people in St John Ambulance Badger Setts and Cadet Units. By supporting our Youth Leaders to deliver sessions across our range of programmes. In this role, you'll support the learning and development of young people into the next generation of health citizens. Youth Helpers also help young people develop their confidence, teamwork skills, self-discipline, and generally encourage them to strive to be the best they can be, as well as supervise and support other adult volunteers in their team.
