Connection Support has a range of services providing support to people at risk of homelessness or on the edge of needing social care. We work with people made vulnerable through debt, mental health issues, substance misuse, learning disability, and physical disabilities.

You'll be part of a group of local professionals who work together to organise fundraising and awareness events/opportunities in the area as well as utilise connections and broaden NSPCC's Swindon network. Attending regular meetings is a requirement to ensure continuous progress with projects - these meetings are mostly in-person. 

What you'll do

You'll volunteer with the Board to stage a variety of corporate and community events to bring professionals and the public together to raise funds for local NSPCC services. Whether that's a networking dinner, securing sponsorship for a Christmas event, a football friendly or a relay down the river Thames - variety is what the Board is all about! You'll also support your local Community Fundraising Manager to secure support to enable the delivery of NSPCC led campaigns and events. You'll engage with the public, organisations and local communities – promoting a positive image of the NSPCC! You'll be a valued part of our Swindon Business Board, a group which has been fundraising consistently for 30 years and which sits within our Swindon Branch network of volunteers who have a legacy of supporting children in the Swindon area for 125 years.

We are looking to recruit a Group Coordinator for our Barnet and South Hertfordshire group. As our local Group Coordinator you’ll take the lead in making sure your local group works as effectively as possible. You’ll recruit, induct and support other group volunteers to make sure your group’s activities meet the needs of your local MS community. You’ll take a lead role at events on the day and inspire your fellow volunteers to get involved.
