Stepping Stones Learning and Leisure is a small, friendly charity based in Southwark, providing inclusive activities for adults with learning disabilities. We believe everyone should have the chance to express themselves, connect with others, and take part in activities that bring joy, confidence, and new skills.

We’re currently looking for a Drama Volunteer to support our weekly drama group on Friday afternoons, held at St Faith’s Centre, Red Post Hill, SE24 9JQ (close to North Dulwich and Herne Hill stations).

About the Role

This role is ideal for someone with a background or strong interest in drama, theatre or performance. You’ll support our Drama Tutor to deliver inclusive and engaging drama sessions for a small group of adults with learning disabilities. Each year, the group works towards a production which is performed at our end-of-year Summer Show, making this a fun, creative, and rewarding volunteering opportunity.

As a Drama Volunteer, you will:

• Assist the tutor in planning and running weekly drama activities
• Encourage and support learners during rehearsals and performances
• Help with setting up props, costumes and resources for sessions
• Offer 1:1 or small group support where needed to help participants engage
• Help build a warm, inclusive atmosphere where everyone feels safe to express themselves

Our patented products are engineered from the regenerative local abundant waste stream — human hair — to reduce environmental damage, replace synthetic materials, and bring smart data-driven tools to ecosystems under pressure. With successful pilots, partnerships with major ports, agricultural producers, vineyards, and support from European institutions, we are entering a critical phase of growth and scale.

We are now seeking experienced marketing volunteers who who can design and execute campaigns to reach new clients, expand into fresh markets, and attract investors. Specifically, we need support to define a clear marketing and communication strategy aligned with our growth goals, build compelling campaigns to engage clients and partners across multiple channels, strengthen our positioning for international markets and develop targeted messaging and content to showcase our impact and innovation to investors. Events Officer has the responisbility of organising (along with the help of a Trustee Events Manager) our magical visits to children/adults with LD, this could be at the hospital, social groups, refugee centres, libraries etc etc.

They will monitor the chapter email for submitted event booking forms (some of these will come from events organised by the Events Manager on Trustees). These will then be added to the calendar and advertised to volunteers. They will ensure each event organised has a handful of volunteers confirmed within a week of the event itself. They will then provide information and support to a Lead Volunteer to run the events. They will ensure that regular events are being attended by volunteers and that they have the costume and materials that are needed for these. They will follow up after events to ensure social media posts are made, hours are uploaded and that costumes are returned. They will ensure that all volunteers are attending events.

Are you a proactive, efficient and compassionate individual who is looking to make a difference?  If so, St Giles Trust is looking for a Pantry Volunteer to work at its London Pantries, where you will support the day-to-day operation of a community pantry at one of our London locations. You will work alongside the Pantry Coordinator and other volunteers to help create a welcoming, dignified, and well-managed space for local members. Tasks will include stock handling, customer service, and light-touch support such as signposting and meal planning tips.

About this key role
As our Pantry Volunteer, you will help with specific Pantry needs such as stock rotation, manual handling, speaking to clients, and making them feel comfortable within The Pantry.  You will carry out and comply with all health and safety procedures and policies, ensure all labelling of food items are correctly displayed and ensure any items are within the correct date for displaying. 
Positively supporting members and always maintaining confidentiality, and creating a welcoming, dignified, and well-mannered space for local members. Tasks will include stock handling, customer service, and light-touch support such as signposting and meal planning tips.

What we are looking for

• Previous experience of working within a retail and customer-facing role.
• Supporting the daily running and operation of the Pantry.
• Supporting the Pantry coordinator ensuring the shop is well-stocked, clean and presentable.
• To carry out and comply with all health and safety procedures and policies, including food safety and manual handling.
• To ensure all food items are correctly labelled and within the given use-by date.
• Positively supporting members and always maintaining confidentiality.
• To assist customers to choose their shopping items and to complete simple forms.
• On occasion, offering meal planning advice along with recipes and food shopping tips.
• Helping to unload deliveries and ensuring food is correctly stored.

Please note: this role requires that successful candidates must undergo an Enhanced DBS check, on the basis that the post involves contact with vulnerable participants and colleagues.
