In this exciting new Digital Communications Manager role, you will take the lead in the development and execution of Whizz Kidz’s social media strategy and calendar. You will plan and create multimedia content for social media and our website, focussing on telling the stories of our beneficiaries and fundraisers.

Social media

• Develop and manage the social media strategy for Whizz Kidz

• Manage the day-to-day social media calendar and posting across Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn, ensuring a consistent stream of content that generates engagement

• Evaluate social media performance and recommend potential new strategies and platforms

Content creation

• Develop and edit multimedia content for social media and the website

The Events Officer will be responsbile for delivering a wide range of events to our members such as training courses and the annual conference, and must be a highly organised and enthusiastic individual working in collaboration and partnership with one other part time Events Officer. You will require an eye for detail, have excellent liaison skills and have the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Our courses and the AGM are delivered online, with our annual conferences delivered in-person or hybrid. The annual conference is an important event for BAAT and an exciting, key responsibility for this role.

We are recruiting for a Fundraising Officer to join our Fundraising team located within our Marketing team. The role will lead on programme-based funding, through trusts and foundations, and corporates. The Fundraising Officer (FO) will develop and maintain our Trusts and Foundations funding pipeline, which includes multiple five and six figure funders. The FO works closely with every team at Scottish Book Trust to fundraise for a range of literature, arts and education projects. Responsible for fundraising administration including gift processing and thanking, you will also support on fundraising events, impact story gathering, and donor stewardship where required. A key role supporting the National Year of Reading, you will be responsible specifically for project managing the delivery of the website to support the campaign. List of rough responsibilities:

Ensure all marketing materials, online, offline, merchandise, press, print and any other areas not listed here, are of a high quality, not breaking copyright law, and are in line with the charity’s targets and strategies.

The role of the Direct Marketing Executive is a varied one. Working with different teams and suppliers, you will be supporting and delivering direct marketing campaigns across a range of media channels. The acquisition programme is an evolving one and there is change and growth happening in a lot of interesting areas at a fast pace.

As well as running day-to-day activities, the post holder will be responsible for supporting the wider acquisition team by ensuring data and supporter engagement processes are running smoothly across campaigns. Alongside this, they will ensure compliance and adherence to the most recent regulations and codes of practice is top of the agenda.

Fundraising experience is not essential for the role, but we are looking for someone with the desire and self-motivation to learn and develop, and the drive and passion to change the future for those affected by dementia. The successful candidate will be able to show this, be collaborative and enthusiastic, want to learn and develop, and be keen to get involved with the activities of the team right away.

Main duties and responsibilities of the role:

Fundraising and Marketing Campaigns

· Support with planning and delivery of a wide range of supporter engagement and fundraising activities including digital marketing and face-to-face fundraising.

· Support with the creation of content and copywriting for digital adverts.

· Social media monitoring of direct marketing activity, responding in line with brand messaging.

· Work with others in the team to conduct mystery shopping, shadowing and call listening to measure fundraising quality and ensure compliance.

· Liaise with designers, printers, mailing houses, agencies, and fulfilment houses.

· Support the day-to-day management of fundraising agencies and suppliers, ensuring relationships are effective and productive.

· Assist in the production and delivery of motivating fundraiser training that ensures quality, compliant fundraising.

· Support in recommendations for change and refinement across the direct marketing programme.

Finance & Reporting

· Daily campaign tracking and reporting.

· Administer the recording, reconciliation, and processing of invoices.

Team and Programme Support

· Tracking and evaluating competitor and industry trends, collaborating with the other Direct Marketing Executive to provide recommendations to the wider team for potential improvements and testing opportunities.

· Keep up to date on the latest developments within the sector relating to best practice in fundraising.

· Proof-read direct marketing materials and collateral.

· Regularly attend, support, and contribute to meetings and events.

· Ensure compliance and adherence to the most recent regulations and codes of practice.

 

What we are looking for:

· Experience of using Microsoft packages; particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

 You’ll manage our social media channels, deliver paid advertising campaigns, keep their website fresh and optimised, and ensure every online supporter journey is smooth and engaging. You’ll also help them tell powerful stories through great content, images and videos that inspire their supporters and make a real difference.

Key responsibilities:
 

• Lead their day-to-day social activity across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube, creating engaging posts and scheduling content.
• Develop and manage online advertising campaigns (PPC and paid social) to grow awareness and income, reporting on results and ROI.
• Keep their website and online shop up to date with optimised content, blogs, videos and campaign pages.
