The Opportunity

Be part of a national team improving how services respond to domestic abuse.

As our Senior Trainer, you will lead the delivery and continuous improvement of our training offer, so more professionals have the confidence and skills to respond well to domestic abuse.

You will design and deliver engaging training online and in person, coordinate rotas and resources, uphold quality, and use feedback to keep content relevant and impactful. You will also line manage two Training Coordinators, nurture key client relationships, and support proposals and bookings that grow our reach and repeat business.

About You

You are an established trainer with experience in the Violence Against Women and Girls sector. You can design and deliver dynamic, inclusive sessions for mixed audiences, both online and in person, with strong feedback and repeat bookings to show for it.

You bring solid understanding of housing and health including safeguarding and local pathways, and you are confident running day to day operations, scheduling and capacity planning.

You have experience line managing people and setting clear standards through observation, coaching and quality assurance. You are comfortable scoping client needs, shaping simple SLAs and turning data and feedback into clear KPIs and reports.

You are trauma informed, anti-racist, collaborative and calm under pressure, with strong communication and sound judgement. A relevant training qualification such as PTLLS or equivalent is desirable.

Whilst this is a remote based job, you will need to be located within London/Home Counties area and be able to travel when required.

For 40 years, NEF has turned big ideas, rigorous research and community power into real-world change. At this critical moment in politics, we’re looking for a talented researcher to join our team.

The late Lord Kerslake was a lifelong advocate for social justice and worked tirelessly in his career and in retirement to promote access to secure, affordable housing for all. At the time of his untimely passing he was Chair of the New Economics Foundation (NEF), the Peabody Trust and the Kerslake Commission on Homelessness and Rough Sleeping hosted by St Mungo’s. These three organisations have come together to honour Bob by creating a Kerslake Fellowship to work on improving outcomes in housing and homelessness, and especially for social housing.

Employed at NEF for a two-year contract initially, this role will help develop policy and practice capable of delivering big shifts in housing policy that will result in genuinely affordable, high quality and secure homes for all. The Kerslake Fellow will produce high-quality research that will help build the evidence base in social housing and homelessness, generate recommendations for actions that will lead to better outcomes, and build relationships with key stakeholders that will help deliver policy change.

We’re looking for someone with a relevant degree (or equivalent experience), a solid understanding of the housing sector and the challenges and opportunities it faces. At least three to five years’ experience in planning, developing and managing multi-stakeholder projects and/​or campaigns. Just as important is the ability to ability to deal with people at all levels, internally and externally, demonstrable organisational and administrative skill and a commitment to building the new, environmentally sustainable economy with redistribution of power and resources at its core.

The countywide holistic service also provides emotional wellbeing support for families who are hosting refugees.

Purpose of Post

• The purpose of the Hertfordshire Mind Network Refugee Community Outreach Worker role is to:
• To provide advice, information, onward referral and holistic support to clients with mental ill health.
• Support to build social networks and reduce isolation whilst settling into the Hertfordshire community this includes building a sustainable and empowering peer support network and building confidence and self-esteem.
• To ensure that the safety and wellbeing of the client is monitored and reviewed regularly.
• To remain a source of independent support for all clients.
• Embed a person centred and solution focused approach in all aspects of the role.
• To work in a trauma informed way including awareness of the 6 principles of trauma informed practice, putting the clients emotional and practical needs at the forefront of this work.

We are looking for a creative, driven, compassionate, Communications Lead to develop, lead, and implement an integrated communications strategy that supports our ambition to double the number of adults learning to read with Read Easy UK by the end of our current strategy.

As a strong communications generalist, with strategic and operational expertise, the Communications Lead will work closely with employees, volunteers and other key stakeholders to strengthen the charity’s national brand and position. This role covers all aspects of communications including media relations, digital communications, brand communications, stakeholder and internal communications.

The post holder will shape and deliver communications activity that inspires, informs, and engages our key audiences, including volunteers, potential Readers, funders, the media, and partners across the UK.

The successful candidate will be strategic and agile and will enjoy shaping strategy alongside delivering communications activity. This is a standalone role, leading and delivering internal and external communications for the organisation in collaboration with other key partners.

Location: Fully Remote/Home-based with very occasional travel to regional groups as required and for up to 3 team meetings per annum (currently held in Birmingham).

The British Academy – the UK’s national body for the humanities and social sciences - is seeking a Development Operations and Stewardship Officer to join our Development Directorate, providing key support within a small fundraising team of 9. It’s a particularly exciting time to join the Development Team - we’ve recently completed a successful capital campaign (£9.5m raised) and are now in planning stages of our next major fundraising initiative.

The role

This role is central to ensuring our supporters feel valued and engaged. You’ll help deliver the operational side of donor stewardship from processing income and coordinating communications, to supporting events and managing donor data. You’ll work closely with colleagues across the Academy, including Development, Communications, Finance and Programme Teams, to ensure our donors are well supported and celebrated.

This is a varied and rewarding role for someone who enjoys working across teams, communicating clearly, and managing multiple priorities. You’ll be proactive, organised and creative in your approach, with a keen eye for detail and a genuine interest in strengthening relationships. Whether you’re coordinating tailored donor communications, supporting the Development Board, or helping deliver impactful events, your work will help ensure our supporters feel understood and appreciated.

Action on Disability (AoD), founded in 1979, is one of London’s leading Disabled People’s Organisations (DPOs). Guided by the Social Model of Disability, we work to remove barriers and promote equality, inclusion and choice for all Disabled people.

AoD’s Employment Service

The Action on Disability Employment Service is setting the agenda for disability employment across London with great results. We are at the forefront of setting up and delivering supported internships for Disabled young people. We provide an holistic service from management and employer engagement to hands-on, supervised support work across all sites.

Our Employment Service welcomes external referrals and offers support for Disabled people via our in-work support service.

We are looking to recruit several support workers to expand our pool.

Purpose of the Role

The Employment and Progression Coordinator supports Disabled young people and adults to move into and thrive in paid employment. Working within AoD’s Employment and Supported Internship programmes, the postholder will provide person-centred guidance, job coaching, and practical in-work support.

The role includes supporting current and past interns, working alongside employers to create inclusive opportunities, and promoting the benefits of employing Disabled people.

Main Responsibilities

Supporting current and past Disabled Interns

• Provide 1:1 and group support to enable people to explore their skills, interests and aspirations, and move into meaningful paid work.
• Support participants to understand their rights at work and access reasonable adjustments.

Employer Engagement and Development

• Build and maintain positive relationships with a range of employers to create and sustain inclusive job and internship opportunities.
• Encourage employers to adapt roles where needed and to provide a supportive working environment.

Programme Delivery and Administration

• Support the delivery of the Employment and Supported Internship programmes, including one-to-one sessions, group activities, and outreach events.
• Support the planning and recording of participant journeys, including achievements, placements and outcomes, using Salesforce and other tools.
• Work in line with AoD’s aims, values and the Social Model of Disability.

Additional Information

• Some evening or weekend work may occasionally be required.
• An enhanced DBS check will be required.
• Travel across Greater London will be required; travel expenses reimbursed according to policy.

About the Role

The role of the Media Officer is to support Reprieve’s communications through traditional and social media, in support of the organisation’s strategic and fundraising objectives. You will be responsible for building relationships with journalists, providing media advice to Reprieve staff, and working with colleagues to ensure external messaging is consistent in quotes, briefings, social media content, and on Reprieve’s website. You will help to find and develop stories, collaborating with journalists and external partners on media that has an impact: revealing human rights abuses, shaping policy and raising the profile of our clients.

The successful candidate will have excellent writing and communication skills, and a proven ability to produce exceptional work under pressure. They will have a deep understanding of all forms of media and how to use these platforms for maximum impact, and a track record of securing media coverage on challenging issues.

Length and Salary

This is a full-time role on a one-year fixed term contract, subject to extension depending on funding. The annual salary is £42,193 per annum less any required deductions for income tax and national insurance.

This role is based in Reprieve’s London office. Reprieve operates a hybrid working model and we require staff to work 40% of their working hours from the London office and the rest of the week from home.
