Working hours: This is a full-time post for 35 hours per week, on a permanent contract based at the Charity’s Office in Victoria, London. (The Charity currently operates a minimum of 2 days in the office).

We are seeking a Grants Support Executive to help deliver a grants programme of around £9 million annually, supporting individuals and organisations that make a real difference.

The Role

You will provide administrative and operational support across the grants function, including coordinating committee meetings, supporting grants officers, managing assurance visits, and helping to develop reporting systems. This varied role involves close collaboration with colleagues and partners to ensure funding is well managed and impactful.

Key Responsibilities

• Secretariat support for committee meetings, including briefs, reports, and minutes.
• Support grants officers in processing applications and deputise when needed.
• Manage assurance visit programmes and follow-up actions.
• Assist with financial and performance reporting for funded organisations.
• Maintain contact databases and oversee information/knowledge management.

About You

• At least three years’ experience in charity grant-making, welfare, or equivalent Armed Forces/MOD background.
• Strong organisational and IT skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint (Salesforce/MOSAIC an advantage).
• Excellent written communication and report writing skills.
• Financially astute with empathy for the Armed Forces community.
• Proactive, reliable, and a strong team player with sound judgement.

Job Purpose

Key Tasks

 Administration

· Liaising with our landlords on issues regarding our office space and facilities

· Ensuring the smooth running of the office, overseeing the set up and maintenance of office systems

· Assisting with administration and coordination of any events held by SFM e.g. strategy away days

This is a pivotal role and the successful candidate will be in charge of the financial reporting across our Personal Support (PS) services in England, Cymru and Northern Ireland. This role is a full time permanent position. There is flexibility around where the role is based, we have large offices in London, and Peterborough and smaller offices located throughout the UK. Citizens Advice Camden is a well-respected local charity with more than 80 years’ experience of delivering free, independent and impartial advice and casework services to those most in need.

Role Purpose

To provide a high quality welfare benefits advice service to people affected by cancer with the aim of maximizing their income and advising on a range of related social welfare issues.

To work closely with the staff of the Citizens Advice Camden Macmillan Welfare Advice Service to maintain and further develop a quality provision ensuring that Citizens Advice standards are met. 

To work effectively with Macmillan Cancer Support, The Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust, Macmillan Information Centre and other relevant agencies, to ensure that people living with cancer who have been referred to the service are appropriately supported. 

This role will primarily be based at the Citizens Advice Camden Welfare Advice Service at the Royal Free Hospital; some work may be undertaken at other sites. The Citizen Advice Camden office is based within the hospital’s Oncology department.

Key elements/Tasks 

The adviser will be expected to work in a busy and often demanding hospital environment. This role will require you to work with a large number of clients, many of whom will present with multiple and complex advice needs because of their condition. This can be an emotionally challenging and sometimes distressing working environment, and the adviser will need to demonstrate emotional resilience and an awareness of how to support herself/himself and to seek support from others in dealing with this. 

The adviser will need to be sensitive to the demands of working daily with healthcare professionals and other non-Citizens Advice Camden stakeholders and to work effectively as an ambassador for Citizens Advice Camden. A large part of the role, in addition to advising clients, involves building and maintaining strong relationships.
