In the final year of our 3 year strategy, we're looking to the future. Could you be a key part of the Senior Leadership Team and help us shape Action Hampshire for the next part of the journey?
Your role will be to lead on operations at Action Hampshire. This will include supporting our finance team and working with our external finance company. You will contribute to our progress against our strategy. Effective operations and financial management are key to our sustainability and a key part of our strategy, so you will oversee development work to keep improving the organisation’s performance in these areas.
You will play a leadership role across the organisation, internally and externally, championing the organisation’s strategy and building strong relationships.
You will work with the rest of the team to keep developing Action Hampshire’s positive, inclusive, and collaborative working environment. You will help shape the organisation so it can be agile and responsive and keep fulfilling our mission and purpose in the most effective and sustainable way.
You’ll have oversight of teams with an internal focus. As you facilitate and support team members to play their part, you will gather insight and use this and your knowledge of charity operations to inform and make recommendations to the Senior Leadership Team.

About this job
This year, we’ve embarked on a bold, strategic initiative to enhance our data capabilities.
We’re aiming to improve our data use, integration and analytics to increase engagement, maximise impact and drive forward our strategic goals. With a key focus on: effective and efficient operations; collaboration; and continuous improvement in our Technology, Strategy and Business Intelligence teams.
To achieve this ambition, we’ve developed a new technology infrastructure which we are calling “Sage”. We are implementing new technology infrastructure this year (such as our new CRM system and suite of data tools – Microsoft Dynamics).
We will be taking a structured and phased approach to transitioning and embedding our new team structures, infrastructure and ways of working as part of Phase 2 of this Project.
Our IT Infrastructure team cover the following areas:
- Fully responsible for managing the technology stacks
- Ensuring the underlying systems and data are secure and highly protected from malicious actors
- Ensuring the systems are available
- Managing 3rd party suppliers who assist us in supporting, developing and securing the systems
- Manage the technical and security risk registers and, with a risk based approach, mitigate risks to the best of our ability
- Embed principles of best value and money saving into all technology decisions
We’ve made a significant investment in our Microsoft suite and have transitioned services to Azure. We’re also building a cloud infrastructure to support the Organisation’s mission critical data use improvement project.
Our Infrastructure Systems Manager plays a crucial role in the development, support and maintenance of these systems, implementing the tools and technology we need as well as driving the reduction of IT costs where possible.
This role is responsible for:
- Maintenance of technical infrastructure based on Microsoft technologies
- Automated process creation to ensure systems are monitored and managed
- Migration of remaining on premise systems to Microsoft cloud based solutions
- Maintenance of legacy systems and processes where necessary
- Ensuring systems are highly accessible and available
- Advice to the Organisation on best practice on technology
For this role we’re looking for:
- Broad expert technical knowledge of IT Infrastructure based on both cloud and on premise Microsoft technologies
- Knowledge of Dynamics CRM 365 and associated technology
- Knowledge of Azure services, PowerApps, DataVerse
- Knowledge of sound backup and security protocols
- SQL (SSIS, SSRS) knowledge
- Experience of managing external stakeholders and 3rd party suppliers
- Service Management experience

Director
North East, working in person in Teesside three days a week
Up to £85,000, dependent on experience
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced leader, with a passion for giving children the best possible start and with a strong belief in the power of communities. The role will work both locally and nationally, as part of the wider team.
The Director will manage our client’s existing programme in Redcar and Cleveland with a talented and committed team (10 staff). They will also develop and manage the new programme in Middlesbrough, currently in Discovery phase, and recruit a staff team of 8- 10 people, with support from the charity’s central team. Once set up, the Director will lead the following across both areas:

Building relationships and networks in the areas, across the public, voluntary and private sector

Leading the team to support delivery of the charity's local early years strategy in the areas

Leading the delivery of a portfolio of complementary workstreams, continuously refining and strengthening the work so that we make the greatest possible positive difference to local children and families

Working closely with local partners and the national team to ensure that data and learning is captured and fed into strategic thinking and our national model
Supported by our central team, the Director will enable local stakeholders to collectively support parents and children under 5, to improve outcomes in the early years and particularly improve levels of school readiness. Crucial to this work will be engaging with and empowering local parents who are the key to successful delivery of the initiative.

This role will involve leading a small team of delivery staff working to support young people in the East Midlands. As part of the Leadership Team, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of our Health and Social Care programmes, in line with contractual requirements. You will lead the Health and Social Care team to develop and implement our delivery plan and ensure we meet targets, ensuring that every young person engaged progresses with an appropriate pathway of learning and development and one to one support. You will be a role model for your team, demonstrating best practice in how we work with young people in a safe way to ensure we deliver maximum value for young people and partners.
A background in employment-based programmes and/or knowledge of the Healthcare sector would be great as well as the ability to build and sustain stakeholder relationships and inspire colleagues.

This is an opportunity to join Refuge as a Service Manager to lead on the delivery of high-quality services to the women and their children living in our refuges and survivors of domestic abuse supported by our community outreach service.
We are recruiting for Service Manager who is passionate about supporting survivors who are impacted by domestic abuse and other gender-based crimes. This is a multifaceted, fast paced, and exciting role where you will join our team in Derby to lead on the delivery and development of high-quality refuge and outreach services for survivors of domestic abuse and other gender-based crimes.
Our service provision in Derby includes culturally specific service for South Asian women as well as a specialist multiple disadvantage support worker who support survivors facing enhanced needs.
The post holder will provide line management and support to the accommodation based and the outreach service staff. This will include providing supervision on complex and high-risk cases, overseeing operational emergencies, and ensuring high standards of casework. You will also ensure that all service users in refuges and the outreach service always receive a high-quality support service in line with Refuge’s policies and procedures.
The Service Manager will lead on the delivery of the multiagency aspect of work, working jointly with the Refuge teams and wider stakeholders to deliver best services to the survivors.
Candidates must have proven experience of providing direct emotional and practical support to vulnerable people, managing, and motivating staff, managing casework as well as working within multiagency setting. In addition, you must have an excellent knowledge of domestic abuse and other gender-based violence and its impact on survivors.
You will have knowledge of relevant criminal and civil law legislation, as well as Housing and Health and Safety legislation.
As member of the management team, you will be required to participate in an out-of-hours on call management service.
The service manager will be responsible for ensuring that contractual and other funding requirements are met fully, this includes ensuring that the services operate within the allocated budget and that Refuge’s high-quality standards are maintained. The role may involve visiting potential sites and contributing to the establishment of new services in conjunction with the development team.
The job involves working closely with staff that support survivors and their children who are experiencing domestic abuse and other gender-based violence.

In September 2024, National Numeracy launched a new ‘Schools & Families’ programme to support Primary School staff, parents and carers in increasing pupils’ confidence with numbers, positive feelings about maths, and awareness of the value of maths outside of the classroom. The programme also works to improve parents’, carers’, and school staff’s own confidence with numbers and with supporting children with their maths.
The programme has been hugely successful and is growing rapidly – we have now secured funding to deliver activity in all four nations of the UK and we are working with almost 300 schools currently.
The Schools & Families Programme Officer will support the Schools & Families Programme Manager in managing fast-paced activity across the UK, particularly delivering online training directly to school staff, recruiting schools, and visiting selected schools to ensure the success of the programme.
We are looking for someone who can support with this dynamic activity, is flexible, able to manage their time, and willing to adapt to the changing needs of the charity. National Numeracy has an office in Falmer near Brighton, in East Sussex, but the expectation for this role is that you will be based at home, travelling occasionally as needed across the UK.
