Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to join our team as a Policy & Projects Officer. Reporting to our Policy & Projects Manager, you will be instrumental in organising and coordinating various initiatives aimed at amplifying the voices of care workers. Your responsibilities will include supporting the management of the national Care Worker Advisory Board and Champions Board, organising monthly online sessions, facilitating roundtables, and arranging conferences in collaboration with the advisory board members and the wider CWC team. It would be beneficial if you have experience working as a care worker in adult social care in the UK.

Salary: £27,000 - £28,000 per year. 16 months fixed term with the potential for extension based on funding. This is a hybrid role with home working and attending team meetings, events and conferences in London. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Collaborate with the Policy & Projects Manager to plan and execute advocacy and campaigning projects 

• Create and promote surveys 

• Support the Care Worker Advisory Board and Champions Board 

• Organise co-ordinate and facilitate roundtable discussions and monthly online sessions with care workers 

• Research and source opportunities for the advisory board and champions to speak at events, write opinion pieces and speak directly to decision makers

• Manage project budgets, track expenditure, and ensure financial accountability across advocacy and engagement activities 

• Draft accessible, accurate policy summaries to inform internal stakeholders and care workers of key developments and proposed legislation 

• Coordinate logistics for conferences and events, ensuring smooth execution 

• Engage with care workers to gather insights and feedback on key issues 

• Assist in developing and implementing strategies to promote the rights of care workers 

• Maintain effective communication with stakeholders and team members 

• Responsibility for content for online platforms including Twitter, Facebook, Tik Tok, LinkedIn and Website. Liaison with team regarding scheduling and monitoring. 

• Production of case studies for use on social media and our website

• Monitor online care worker forums. 

Qualifications and Skills: 

• It would be beneficial if you have experience working as a care worker in adult social care in the UK

• Experience of project coordination and working collaboratively within an organisation 

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to negotiate and to build and maintain good working relationships, up to and including senior management level 

• Demonstrated ability in co-production

As an Income and Housing Officer you will help to maximise the organisation's rental income collection,n effectively manage rent arrears and deal with other breaches of the occupancy agreement.

What you'll do:
* Take responsibility for maximising rent collection across a defined patch of Look Ahead's portfolio of properties ensuring that rent collection targets are met and tenancies sustained

* Advise operational teams on their support related arrears management activities, including holding local surgeries with tenants and staff, taking direct control of higher level and more complex arrears cases

* Proactively monitor all current and former accounts within the defined patch and make recommendations to the Housing Manager for appropriate former accounts to be written off or referred to Look Ahead's debt collection agency

* Ensure that the rent collection function is carried out both sensitively and in a timely fashion so as to avoid the build up of excessive arrears and record all case details accurately.

* Ensure that all sign ups within the defined patch are done accurately on the correct type of tenancy and at the correct rent and service charge levels.

* Prepare files and documents for legal action and present cases in County Court hearings for possession claims, money judgements

This will include acting as a point of contact for journalists seeking information and working with colleagues across the charity to provide timely and accurate comment, requiring occasional out of hours work. As well as responding to reactive media enquiries, you will have the opportunity to help deliver proactive media work and write press releases. 

Central to increasing awareness and understanding of arthritis is through sharing the experiences of people with lived experience. Alongside the Stories Officer, you will support people to share their stories with media and help manage these important relationships. 

A key part of the role is to provide administrative support and to lead on media monitoring and evaluation, ensuring this supports team performance and learning. We’re a friendly and supportive team, keen to help you progress and thrive.

Position Overview: 

At CPI we believe people are at the heart of our success. We are seeking a Grants Officer (Associate)   based in Europe to join our CPI Europe (CPIE) team. Your role is  critical  in ensuring the smooth delivery of the AI Opportunity Fund. This role is responsible for the effective administration of grants including ongoing due diligence and accurate record keeping, contributing to assessing proposals and organisations, stewarding and maintaining effective relationships with grantees and wider partners,  and ensuring compliance, timely reporting and payments. 1. Grant Strategy & Development

• Contribute to shaping the strategy, design and execution of the AI Opportunity Fund.

The Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) brings together 15 leading UK aid charities to raise funds quickly and efficiently at times of humanitarian crisis overseas. This role will require you to lead on organic social media as part of the DEC Communications team, working closely with the Digital and Innovation team in Fundraising, collaborate with social leads across our 15 member charities and public figures through our talent agency. During appeal launch periods it will also involve managing a small social media team of volunteers.
