This busy team is responsible for developing, testing, and implementing a strategy to reach and engage target audiences through digital channels like web, mobile, and social.
The role is responsible for:
- Devising and delivering engaging content for social and online communities, ensuring consistency in terms of style, quality and tone of voice
- Supporting the launch of new online communities for our members
- Proactively exploring new and innovative visual approaches and techniques for storytelling on social
- Keeping up to date with social algorithm and platform changes, testing and learning to optimise content and reporting findings to the team
- Delivering video content that engages and educates, including explainers and case studies
- Supporting the Social Media and Online Communities Manager in planning and implementing a member engagement strategy to drive increased engagement and member growth of the BPS’s online communities.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A passion for all things social media, and a knowledge of the latest trends and best practice
- Demonstrable experience of online content development, including writing for online channels; able to provide examples of accessible, inspiring content which measurably drive action

Age UK Camden Day Care Centres are looking to recruit a Day Care Officer to cover 15 hours a week in shifts (3 x 5 hours) across our two Day Care Centres.
There is a need to be flexible to be able to cover all days Monday to Friday and days are subject to change based on the rota.

Role Overview
As a member of the Joint Leadership Team, the post-holder will contribute to the leadership, planning and delivery of cross-team projects, helping to influence and meet the charity’s strategic objectives. Specifically, they will lead projects and programmes to deliver improvements in quality and standards of health services for people affected by Crohn’s and Colitis. In doing so, they will work closely with not only the Director of Services & Evidence and Heald of Health Services, but also external stakeholders including health and social care organisations, academics, researchers and other charities. The post-holder will also be actively involved in leading, supporting and developing the Health Services team.
About You
Ideally educated to degree level or equivalent, you will have experience of delivering health service projects and programmes and have come from a health services or medical charity background. You will be adept at developing operational performance metrics, strategies and objectives and have a proven track record in developing strong working relationships with external stakeholders. Whilst not essential, experience of managing and leading a team would be beneficial, as would be an awareness and knowledge of the needs of people affected by Crohn’s and Colitis.

Our London, South-East & East Region has a new opportunity for an Executive Officer. You will be responsible for supporting effective grant-making across the region, helping us to distribute over £130m to good causes throughout the region.
As an Executive Officer, you’ll be part of a driven and passionate team, led by a Senior Head of Regional Funding. Purpose of the role

People facing decades of prison time often completely lose connection with their family and friends on the outside. Context of Job
AFK is a national charity helping young disabled people develop their independence and find employment. Our vision is a world where all people living with a disability get to lead the life they choose. As part of this we provide bespoke employment skills training and organise work placements across North London.
At a national level, we provide mobility equipment not available on the NHS for disabled children and young people up to the age of 25. The Advocacy and Mobility Services Manager leads this service.
Overall Job Purpose
To develop and manage AFK’s Mobility Service including overseeing the progress of funding applications for mobility equipment, managing the waiting list and ensuring a quality service to our beneficiaries. The Advocacy and Mobility Services Manager will be responsible for providing advocacy support, enabling applicants to secure equipment from statutory services, where appropriate. They will also manage the maintenance and reallocation of AFK-owned powerchairs.
Working Conditions
The post is 21 or 28 hours a week, normally between 9am and 5pm. (We are Hybrid working organisation with 1 core day in the office and 2-3 days working from home, with core hours between 10am and 4pm).
The post holder may be expected to work some evenings and weekends as required by the job.

Line Manager to the Fundraising and Mobility Officer
Close working relationships with mobility equipment suppliers
On a day-to-day basis there will be regular contact with beneficiaries and their families, mobility equipment suppliers and health professionals, as well as Service Delivery and Fundraising Managers.
On-going contact with grant giving organisations and associated bodies.
Principal Responsibilities
1. To develop policies to support the direction of AFK’s Mobility Services, in relation to criteria for funding equipment, guidance on managing the waiting lists and the provision of loaned/ beneficiary owned equipment etc.
2. To identify applicants for mobility funding who could access statutory funds. To provide advocacy support to those families including submitting formal letters of complaint to NHS Trusts and/or taking legal advice. To monitor savings to the Mobility budget, as a direct result of advocacy intervention.
3. To ensure the mobility equipment budget is spent appropriately by developing and implementing funding criteria, negotiating competitive rates with suppliers, encouraging families to consider a range of options for high end equipment and ensuring statutory services support funding where appropriate.
4. To line manage the Fundraising and Mobility Officer to enable her/him to progress applications for mobility grants, from initial enquiry to order and delivery of equipment.
5. To provide AFK’s Fundraising and Communications teams with data and feedback from families and to identify potential case studies.
6. To support selected applicants with individual fundraising, including applying to Trusts and charities and writing to businesses.
7. To monitor the funds raised by AFK’s individual fundraising activity.
8. To keep abreast of changes in the field for example: developments among competitors and pricing in the market; progress of the NHS England wheelchair campaign; and changes to Clinical Commissioning Groups’ criteria.
9. To provide families with information to enable them to make a decision about whether to apply for funding.
10. To liaise with other grant giving charities to keep up-to-date with changes in the field and to ensure part funding is provided effectively.
11. To ensure AFK’s equipment grant application form is clear and up-to-date and that the process is managed in a timely and efficient way.
12. To oversee the development and maintenance of systems for recording the grant application process.
13. To manage the maintenance and repair of loaned powerchairs, developing procedures for reallocating chairs and/or passing ownership on to beneficiaries.
14. To supervise the Fundraising and Mobility Officer to develop systems for monitoring and reporting on maintenance expenditure.
15. To undertake other relevant responsibilities as required by the Executive Director of Services.

Patient and public involvement and engagement (PPIE) is a fundamental approach in our work at UCLPartners. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with some experience in patient involvement or community engagement to coordinate and support activities to ensure patients, carers and communities are at the forefront of UCLPartners’ work.

PPIE Planning and Coordination:
- Support the delivery and evaluation of the UCLPartners Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement (PPIE) strategy.

Terms and Conditions
The PPIE Officer will report into the Head of Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement and work closely with all our teams and functions. The remuneration for this post is competitive depending on skills and experience with a salary range of £36,010 to £51,500 per annum.
This is a full-time, permanent position although 4 days a week will also be considered. Some evening and weekend working will be required to support involvement activities.
We offer flexible working arrangements and support hybrid working at UCLPartners. All staff will typically spend a minimum of 40% of their working time at the UCLPartners office i.e. for a minimum of 2 days/week if full-time or 40% of your working time for part-time staff. This can be averaged over a 3-month period.

About the Role
The Legal Officer will be an integral part of the UK Litigation team and will work closely with external legal teams to advance our cases and ensure coordination of legal actions in line with Reprieve’s strategic goals. They will be responsible for administration and maintenance of casefiles and key case management documents and assume certain day-to-day file management responsibilities. They will feed into case strategy discussions and will support the team by conducting and overseeing legal and factual research, drafting documents for litigation and advocacy purposes, and producing and maintaining core internal documents and records. The Legal Officer will also help advance investigations on selected cases, coordinating record collection, feeding into investigation plans and supporting other investigative work.
In addition to working on UK legal cases, the role will encompass work on Reprieve’s cross-cutting strategic United Nations engagement and international litigation. This will involve monitoring for relevant opportunities to shape international law and working on international legal submissions, particularly before international human rights complaints mechanisms and international tribunals.

Length and Salary
This is a full-time role, on a one-year fixed term contract, with the possibility to extend, subject to funding. The annual salary is £42,193 per annum, less any required deductions for income tax and national insurance.
This role is based in Reprieve’s London office. Reprieve operates a hybrid working model and we require staff to work two days per week from the London office and the rest of the week from home. Applicants must have the current right to work in the UK, which will be checked prior to interview.
Your presence is important during core office hours, whether remotely or in the office. You will also be available outside of office hours in the event of an emergency, for example case developments that require urgent action. Mayhew is an exceptionally special animal welfare charity, and we are looking for an equally special candidate to be our Canine Behaviourist. Our team ensure that every dog and cat in our care receives the expert and personalised care s/he needs, delivered with the understanding, empathy, compassion and love that every dog and cat deserves.
Our Home in North-West London accommodates our Kennels, Cattery, Veterinary Clinic and more. Our kennels house up to 15 dogs at any one time meaning that our Canine Behaviourist is able to truly get to know each dog as an individual and directly impact his or her outcomes. We are looking for a hands-on, practical, do-er who has the academic knowledge to understand rescue dogs and the practical experience in a shelter environment to design and deliver the training and wellbeing programmes required to create successful rehoming outcomes for each of those pets.
This role sits within the Kennels Team, reporting to the Head of Kennels. Being a team player, who is good with people as well as animals, is an incredibly important part of the skill set we’re looking for. At the same time, we need an energetic self-starter who can work under their own steam to ensure that every dog in our care is having the best day possible and is continuously progressing on his/her journey through Mayhew to a loving and happy forever home.
As you’ll already know from your prior experience, this role can be physically and emotionally demanding but it will also be hugely rewarding; and that is even more so at Mayhew where this post-holder can really help shape things and where we have a manageable number of dogs in our care. Our Canine Behaviourist will:
- Love dogs and be passionately committed to the achievement of each one’s best possible outcome
- In-take Assess all dogs coming into our care and be closely involved with the Head of Kennel’s in-take decisions (bearing in mind that Mayhew receives dogs from some challenging sources including hoarding and poor welfare environments, and dogs with no known history)
- Rehab Assess all dogs in our care to understand them in their current state and identify their training and behaviour-modification needs
- Design and implement their training and behaviour modification plans with support from our Clinical Animal Behaviourist, ensuring continuous improvement and sustained good welfare; being agile and humble enough to change plans when things aren’t working
- Coach and support the Kennel and Animal Carers so that they can help with the delivery of training and behaviour modification plans, helping them feel included and engaged, and embrace up-skilling;
- Ensure the health & safety of the Animal Carers and Volunteers whilst caring for the dogs in our care, having the knowledge, experience, strength and confidence to personally handle more challenging dogs and situations
- Design, and help the Kennel and Animal Carers to implement, individualised wellbeing and enrichment programmes to keep each dog physically and mentally healthy whilst they are with us and have the knowledge and prior experience to make each dog’s plan bespoke to them considering a variety of drivers including play styles, energy levels, sociability, guarding behaviours, preferences, and sources of frustration.
- Liaise with foster families caring for Mayhew dogs at the direction of the Head of Kennels as required
- Undertake each dog’s Rehoming Assessment, working with the Head of Kennels and Dog Adoption Officer to ensure the right rehoming criteria are set on an individual basis. We don’t take a computer-says-no approach, we want to move mountains to find each dog a successful home.
- Be involved in rehoming our longer staying dogs, including interviewing potential adopters
- Perform practical sessions with adopters as part of the rehoming process to ensure that training and behaviour techniques Mayhew has put in place successfully transfer with the dog to their new carer and environment
- Work in accordance with Mayhew’s policies and be experienced, responsible and compassionate to be fully involved in the tough decisions which sometimes face all rescues.
- Be up to date with the relevant UK legislation on dogs and safety
- Stay up to date with the fascinating and continually-developing science of canine behaviour and well-being
- Come to work each day up-beat, positive and ready to make a real difference.
To be successful in this role, you need:
- Experience working hands-on with rescue dogs in the shelter environment
- At least 2 years’ experience within an applied canine behaviourist / rehabilitation role, working with dogs with differing behavioural challenges
- Experience of delivering dog to dog desensitisation and socialisation programs
- Proven experience of a flexible and can-do approach, successfully juggling competing priorities and calmly handling multiple or complex issues in an operational environment.

We are working in partnership with the Church of England who are seeking an Independent Chair for their Racial Justice Panel.
The Racial Justice Panel (RJP) was established by the Archbishops’ Council in December 2024 following the successful conclusion of the work on the Archbishops' Commission for Racial Justice led by the Lord Boateng PC, CVO. The RJP is to provide independent assurance that the work of racial justice is being carried out effectively by the Church, in accordance with agreed plans and wider best practice.
The RJP Panel, albeit a critical friend, maintains its independence, offering rigorous scrutiny and challenge to the Church in its work on racial justice including examining progress against strategic and delivery plans. It shall produce an annual report to be laid before the General Synod.
The RJP are looking to appoint an experienced independent Chair who will provide excellent leadership, direction and independent scrutiny and challenge to the Church of England and bring external expertise from holding a highly senior role.
They are looking for an independent chair who:
- Is a gifted leader, who will support the Church of England in further strengthening its safeguarding arrangements and partnerships.
- Is passionate about working collaboratively at all levels, with a proven track record in improvement work at a national level.
- Knows how to hold organisations to account and possesses the skills to support the development of senior leaders.
- Understands through senior level personal experience, the core aspects of racial justice at a national level and in the field of statutory and/or voluntary sector.
- Is empathetic, strategic, emotional and has analytical skills, and able to act as a ‘critical friend’ in supporting and challenging people and institutions to help improve their racial justice focus, practice and arrangements.
- Has a relevant academic or professional qualification.
- Has an understanding of the structure of the Church of England and an appreciation for the role that faith plays in the context of racial justice.
The successful candidate will be a senior leader, with excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.

The AC is due to be replaced by CENS in 2-3 years’ time, and the role of the RJP will be reviewed once CENS is established.
