We are looking for new volunteers from all over Wales to be Speak out. Stay Safe Volunteers. You would visit primary schools local to you to help us protect a generation of children from abuse and neglect.

In 2022 the NSPCC's Speak out. Stay safe volunteers returned to primary schools. As a Speak out. Stay safe. volunteer, you will visit primary schools to deliver Speak out. Stay safe. workshops that teach children about the different types of abuse and how they can speak out and stay safe. Our Speak out. Stay safe. workshops are age-appropriate and memorable and need an energetic and enthusiastic person to deliver them. You'll work alongside other Speak out. Stay safe. volunteers to make sure at the end of each session the children feel empowered and know who they can speak out to if they are worried.

Tell My Truth and Shame the Devil CIC is a grassroots community interest company committed to fighting Child Sexual Abuse (CSA) across all UK communities.
We work to protect, heal, and empower survivors, amplify their voices, and educate the public through media, outreach, and education.

Our CIC is a movement, not just an organisation — everything we do is built from the ground up by people with heart, courage, and vision. We believe in truth, love as law, and community unity.

Role Overview

We are seeking a Voluntary Assistant to the Executive Assistant, who will directly support the Executive Assistant to the Founder in the day-to-day coordination, administration, and communications of the CIC.

You will play a vital role in helping the team stay organised, efficient, and connected as we expand our operations, events, and fundraising programmes.

This is an unpaid voluntary position for someone passionate about helping build a movement that fights CSA and supports survivors across the UK.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Executive Assistant in managing schedules, meetings, and communications.

• Assist with preparing reports, tracking project tasks, and ensuring follow-ups through Asana.

• Help organise and document team meetings, training sessions, and fundraising events.

• Communicate with internal departments, volunteers, and external partners in a professional and sensitive manner.

• Assist with digital organisation — filing, cloud storage management, and shared document control.

• Help prepare correspondence, press materials, or short summaries for the Founder or senior team.

• Occasionally attend virtual or in-person meetings to take notes and ensure next steps are actioned.

• Maintain confidentiality and sensitivity when handling information related to CSA, survivors, and internal operations.

Ideal Candidate

• Passionate about fighting against CSA and supporting survivors.

• Organised, proactive, and eager to learn about how community organisations operate.

• Tech-savvy and comfortable with tools like Asana, Microsoft Office, and Google Drive.

Role: ESOL Mentor

Time Commitment: 1 hour a week

Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young people seeking safety and a fresh start?

At Baca, we support our young people to achieve an increase in personal safety, social engagement and engagement with education. We also support them to improve their physical and emotional wellbeing.

The Volunteer Team roles are designed to help provide extra support regarding the development of our young people, who are 16-18-year-old unaccompanied asylum seekers and refugees. The ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) mentoring team is an essential part of the young people’s learning and development with their education. We have seen a significant difference in some young people’s confidence with their learning through this project and it has therefore become one of our core activities.

Each ESOL mentor is matched with either one or two young people, and they will support their young people with their ESOL learning from arrival at Baca, through to when those young people start college externally. The length of time is dependent on the young person and their level of education and confidence when they join us. The ESOL mentor role supports the following three main outcomes:

• Improved ability to use English Language
• Improved self confidence
• Increased positive interactions within the local community

Our mentors must have a passion for serving young un-accompanied asylumseeking children and be fully sympathetic to the purpose of Baca and the needs and circumstances of the young people we support. 

ROLE DESCRIPTION
Trustee – Funding & Bid Application Review

We are seeking a new Trustee to strengthen our multi-skilled and hard-working board, with specific expertise in funding and bid applications.

While we already have skilled board members and volunteers who can write strong funding applications, what we currently lack is the time and experience to:

• Research potential funding opportunities
• Review and filter which opportunities are worth pursuing
• Summarise and present recommendations to the Board and staff

This new Trustee role would add significant value to the work we already provide - by helping us focus our efforts on the most promising funding sources.

Skills and Background

We are open to a range of professional backgrounds. You may not be actively working or may have a little time free to support us in this role, but we are looking for people who can bring the following:

• Experience in bid applications, grant funding, or fundraising — particularly in identifying and assessing opportunities
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to weigh up eligibility, likelihood of success, and fit with our charity’s mission
• Confidence in working with information, making judgements, and communicating clear summaries to colleagues
• A background in areas such as fundraising, charity administration, project management, finance, business development, or legal/governance would all be relevant and useful

Commitment

As a Trustee, this voluntary role involves attending Board meetings, which are approximately every two months, an annual strategy day, occasional working groups and the AGM. Meetings are held in person where possible, with online options available. We also hold fundraising events, which you are warmly encouraged to support. The expected commitment is around 10 hours a month, including reviewing opportunities and communicating with fellow Trustees and staff via email, WhatsApp, or phone.

Background.

Saddleworth Village Games is a registered Charity in England and Wales since 2016, but the foundation has been running since 1985 and celebrated its 40th year in 2025. The organisation offers sports for children aged seven to 14 in the Saddleworth area that range from athletics, swimming, dodgeball, and netball, including many, many more. Everyone involved in the games is a volunteer and the organisation relies on donations from the competing children’s parents and local business who sponsor the games.

Local businesses sponsoring the games has been in place for the last few years and without their support putting the games on each year wouldn’t be possible without them. The committee are now looking for a strategic partnership officer to work with our sponsors and support them whilst looking to attract new sponsors too.

Sponsors have two options when working with us and these are outlined below.

1. A £1,200 payment per year which is £100 per month where they receive their logo on every page of our website, a full-page advert in our yearly brochure, their logo on each village banner that is displayed at events, the opportunity to have a stall at our opening ceremony and to present a trophy at one of the villages presentation evenings.
2. A £240 a year deal which is £20 a month where they receive half a page advert in our brochure and their logo on one page of our website.

Roles and responsibilities.

• Work with existing sponsors to ensure they want to continue their partnership with us.
• Resolve any issues sponsors may face including making their payments to us or general queries.
•  Identifying new sponsors from the local and wider arear, informing them of their options to sponsor us as outlined above and getting them on board.
• Leasing with our chairman to keep him informed of sponsors, our treasurer to keep them informed of the payment, with our brochure producer to ensure their advert is the correct size and ready for print, plus our website-maintenance team to ensure their logos are online.
• Ensuring payments are received on a monthly basis to ensure the sponsors are making their financial contribution to us and chasing any missed payments where this may occur.
• Inviting our premium sponsors who pay £1,200 a year to our opening ceremony and leasing with the chairman in relation to their stalls they may wish to have at this event. Inviting them to present a trophy at a village presentation night.

We are looking for kitchen assistants to help us prepare a warm meal for the children that attend our sessions after school or during the school holidays. 

Kitchen assistants prepare the meal depending on the ingredients donated to us and based on their confidence level. We want to make sure volunteers feel confident in what they are cooking. Often dishes are: jacket potatoes, pasta bakes, currys, stir fryes. 

During term time we tend to have 1-2 volunteers in the kitchen and holidays 3-4, as more children attend the sessions during the holidays.

Expect to feel the community energy when you enter the space, with children attending regualrly and their parients having attended when they were younger. Team feel, with the other volunteers working togther to make the meal. 

The Vench is a specail place and you will feel that and hopefully enjoy volunteering here. 

Summary

To be the first point of contact for families at our centres, providing administrative support and helping ensure the smooth running of the service.

Main responsibilities

·Welcome families, visitors, and professionals to the Family Centre in a friendly and professional manner.

·Answer telephone calls and take messages accurately.

·Assist staff with administrative tasks such as photocopying, filing, and preparing resources.

·Input data into systems, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.

·Help maintain an organised and tidy reception and office space.

·Support the preparation of publicity materials, newsletters, and information displays.

·Signpost visitors to the appropriate staff member for further support.

·Uphold safeguarding, confidentiality, and health & safety policies at all times.

You'll volunteer without regular time commitments, ‘as and when' volunteering! Engage with the public, organisations and local communities – promoting a positive image of the NSPCC! You'll be a valued part of one of our Volunteer Community Fundraising Teams across the UK, raising awareness and funds. We appreciate that work, family and friends come first and, with that in mind, this role offers flexibility to fit in with your lifestyle. You only need to commit to a couple of hours a month, but if you want to do more that would be great.

Events Volunteers are an essential part of our work for reaching and supporting different communities. Our partners in the community hold events across the UK and your support will help ensure they run smoothly, and attendees have a positive experience! You may be on your own, or as part of a team so you’ll need to be enthusiastic and motivated.
