We are looking for a Volunteer SEO & Content Strategy Manager to help plan and manage the CIC’s content and search strategy.

You will ensure our educational materials, campaigns, and survivor-centred resources are easy to find, well-structured, and accessible online. This role involves working with the Digital Marketing Director and Digital Marketing team to organise content into a long-term strategy that supports awareness, education, and engagement.

The role focuses on SEO, content systems, and structured knowledge management.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain an SEO and content strategy aligned with CIC’s mission and campaigns
• Conduct keyword research and topic analysis related to CSA awareness, survivor support, and education
• Plan structured content systems such as pillar pages, topic clusters, and learning pathways
• Work with copywriters, designers, and campaign leads to prioritise content
• Optimise website pages, blogs, and campaign content for search visibility and accessibility
• Track content performance using search and engagement data

The Army Cadet Charitable Trust UK (ACCT UK) is a 96-year-old national youth charity dedicated to improving the life chances of young people and is the official charity supporting the national youth movement known as the Army Cadet Force (ACF). We help disadvantaged young people access the opportunities and benefits available in the Army Cadet programme and, through doing so, enable them to develop and achieve their own potential. ABOUT THE ROLE
The Finance specialist trustee will be an important member of ACCT UK’s Board. You would be part of our team of trustees overseeing the strategic direction of ACCT UK to ensure that it achieves its charitable objects with the particular role of monitoring its financial management. Our charity is financially secure and stable, nevertheless we are looking for an additional trustee with finance experience to work in partnership with the charity’s Treasurer (Chair of the Finance and General Purposes Committee) in monitoring the work of the Charity’s finance team, thus providing fellow board trustees with financial insight and reassurance. We would say it, wouldn’t we (!), but we think you would really enjoy being a trustee and also find it hugely satisfying and rewarding. A fuller description of the role is at Annex A.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
We are seeking a volunteer with a strong professional track record in finance or accountancy, who can provide senior level oversight on our Finance and General Purposes Committee. You will have an understanding of best practice in financial
reporting, controls and governance. A background in charity finance is not essential but would be advantageous. We are seeking a Trustee with sound judgement, the highest professional standards and integrity and strong communication skills who would enjoy contributing to the overall governance of the charity. This role would suit someone with a finance background looking for their first trustee position or who has been a Treasurer for a smaller charity and is not looking for a larger Treasurer role at this time.

TENURE
Once elected as a trustee, you will be asked to serve for a three-year term, following which by mutual agreement you could be elected for a further three-year term.
On election you will have a probationary period of 3 to 4 months depending on your joining date and dates of board meetings and committee group meetings. In the probationary period you should attend one board meeting and at least two committee meetings as a trustee. This will give you an insight into the work done by trustees and the commitment required to be a trustee and will allow both the board and you to assess whether this role is suitable for you. You will have full trustee voting rights during the probationary period.

Membership Secretary

Challenge Adventure Group (“CAG” for short and the operating name of CAG Trust) is a voluntary youth organisation for Knowle, Dorridge and beyond aimed at boys aged 10 and above.

As our name suggests, we provide challenging, adventurous and fun activities and the D of E Award for young people in their leisure time. Taking part in fun experiential activities enables members to develop their physical and mental skills and capacities and reach their full potential of becoming positive, active and happy citizens.

Summary

CAG was formed in 2009 and became a charity, CAG Trust, in 2019. Our group is flourishing and we have a growing number of members who want to take part in our exciting program and challenging adventures. There is a lot of paperwork and payments to be completed and returned by parents and this has to be distributed, returned and logged along with the collection, chasing arrears and logging of membership fees. You will be working in conjunction with the Treasurer and Group Leader as well as being a Committee member.

Description

We are looking for someone to manage member registrations and termly membership renewals / fee collection. The membership secretary has a vital role to play at the start of each term and has an important role throughout the year maintaining members’ records as per GDPR guidelines.

The key tasks of the role are to:

• Maintain the database / spreadsheet of membership and parent details and enrol new members throughout the year.

• Discuss membership with potential new members, register new members and send out Welcome packs to new members.

• Ensure the parents and new member are comfortable in their first few months.

• Manage the membership renewal process at the beginning of each term. 

• Manage the distribution process of membership paperwork to include chasing missing paperwork. 

• Administration and chasing of unpaid / late membership fees.

• Work in conjunction of the Treasurer.

• Coordinate membership levels with Marketing manager to ensure membership is always full.

• Manage the Membership database, in addition to contact details, record Gift Aid Declarations, permission forms and any other relevant returned paperwork.

• Chase any non renewed members and archive as per GDPR guidelines as necessary.

• Conduct a membership audit if required by the committee and in liaison with the Group Leader.

• Respond to membership enquiries.

• Liaise with parents over any membership issues.

• Act as a member of the Committee.

• Attend training courses.

Ideally you should have / be:

• An ability to communicate with adults and young people, both verbally and in writing.

Making a difference - what impact will the opportunity have?

Your input is key to the running of CAG as well as securing its future. The membership secretary is the authority on how membership is progressing year-on-year. You should be able to very quickly tell of growth / decline in membership amongst different age groups to inform the focus of the Marketing Manager and Group Leader.

Sea Cadets Leith, based in Prince of Wales Docks, is currently looking for enthusiastic and dedicated volunteers to join our committee team. Leith is a long-established Sea Cadet Unit that has provided life-changing opportunities for many young people. We currently have 24 cadets who come from all over the area. Our cadets come from all walks of life, with some experiencing adverse childhood events, and limited access to social youth groups. CHAS runs a number of charity shops locally, selling donated stock as well as new goods to raise the vital funds required to care for children and their families. You will be volunteering within our busy retail team, assisting with important stock room management tasks, the day to day running of the shop floor and providing excellent customer service.

By selling goods in the shops you are directly raising the funds that enable us to support children with a life-shortening condition and their families.

You can volunteer Monday to Sunday, in the morning or afternoon. Shifts usually last for four hours, but this can be flexible. This can be weekly, fortnightly, monthly, and even on a bank basis.

Fundraising Volunteer

Challenge Adventure Group (“CAG” for short and the operating name of CAG Trust) is a voluntary youth organisation for Knowle, Dorridge and beyond aimed at boys aged 10 and above.

As our name suggests, we provide challenging, adventurous and fun activities and the D of E Award for young people in their leisure time. Taking part in fun experiential activities enables members to develop their physical and mental skills and capacities and reach their full potential of becoming positive, active and happy citizens.

Summary

CAG was formed in 2009 and became a charity, CAG Trust, in 2019. We are looking for an individual who embodies the spirit of CAG and continually keeps the integrity and goals of the organisation at the forefront of every decision that they make as part of their role.  Because we work in a self-funded way, we need new resources to keep our organisation alive and to be able to offer a wide range of outdoor activities to our members.

We are looking for a remote based or local volunteer who ideally has experience in grant / bid writing and / or experience of working with young people.  This is a very flexible role which can be carried out at home and in your free time.

Description

Responsibilities:

• Communicating and building relationships with current and potential donors.

• Organise established fundraising activities, such as our legendary CAG car wash. 

• Develop new and imaginative fundraising activities, many of which involve organising events to raise awareness of the charity and its activities e.g. giving talks to groups or seeking photo opportunities with the media. 

• Develop and coordinate web-based fundraising, online auctions and merchandise sales. 

• Manage all aspects of grant bids: research potential donors, establish requirements of the grant, create a bid (in conjunction with other CAG staff) that meets the terms and conditions of the grant, submit bid and implement successful bids, report progress where required back to grant givers.

• Oversee corporate fundraising, including employee giving and matched giving from employers. 

• Manage and update databases to record donor contact and preference information. 

• Write applications and mail-shots, using direct mailing to reach a range of potential and current donors. 

• Researching and contacting new sources of funding.

• Drafting proposals for projects, activities and equipment.

Where will the volunteer be working?

The volunteer will work from home will be required to attend meetings within the Solihull area.

Travel Limit

This role is partly remote but ideally the candidate should be available for face to face Committee and other meetings.

• Occasional weekends to attend events.

Volunteer Befriender for young people in care for NYAS -WANTAGE area

Do you want to make a difference to a young person’s life?
Do you have 1- 4 hours per month to spare?
We urgently require volunteer befrienders to be a positive role models for young people living in care. So why not volunteer as a mentor/befriender for NYAS as an Independent Visitor for children and young people in care.

As a volunteer you will:

* Have fun, take young people on outings and maybe share a hobby, sport or interest
* Offer support and a listening ear and be a positive influence in a young person’s life and help build self- esteem and confidence
* You don’t need any special qualifications

We are looking for reliable and dependable people from all walks of life.

We will provide training and on-going support. We will pay expenses to a set limit.
