We are looking for horse-experienced volunteers and/or volunteers with experience working with people with disabilities to help support our RDA participants during their weekday riding as therapy sessions.
Horse-based roles would include:
1) Support catching and bringing horses in from field or stable.
2)Helping groom and tack up
3)Leading horses (if experienced with horses or have completed internal training)
4)Side-helping - Walking alongside the participant on the ride to support them emotionally and help pass on instructions given by the Coach
Other roles would include:

Make a difference – become a school governor
You do not have to be a parent or member of staff to be a school governor – applications are appreciated from all with an interest in the local community. School governors come from all walks of life and specialist knowledge is not always needed. What IS essential is a desire to get involved in children’s education and make a difference to their lives.

What is the role?
‘Little Swifts’, are engaging sessions for children under 5 and their families that take place twice per month at RAF Museum London. The sessions provide opportunities for messy play, arts and crafts, storytelling and singing, linked to a wide range of child-friendly themes found within the Museum’s collection.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, hands-on volunteers to assist the session leader. Your help will support children aged 2-5 and their families to engage with the story of the RAF, through sensory play, creativity and fun! These sessions also provide a valuable chance for families to learn and play together, building community connections. We hope it will also be an enjoyable and rewarding opportunity for a volunteer, perfect for those who want to build experience in education, museums and childcare, or for those who simply enjoy working with little ones.
What will I be doing?

Detailed description
We are seeking qualified and compassionate children’s counsellors with specialisms in play therapy, art therapy, or drama therapy to volunteer their time and skills to support children navigating emotional, behavioural, or developmental challenges. As a Volunteer Therapist, you will provide a safe, creative, and therapeutic environment where children can express themselves and begin to heal.
·Provide 1:1 or small group therapeutic sessions using your specialised modality (play, art, or drama).

About us: GT Scholars is a charitable social enterprise that tackles educational inequality by giving ambitious young people the support, skills and strategies they need to achieve aspirations. We run a wide range of programmes that help young people achieve their academic and career aspirations, particularly those from less-privileged backgrounds.
What makes us different? We run tutoring, mentoring & career insight programmes that help our scholars, aged 11-18, discover their strengths, develop their mindsets and design their own futures.
There are many charitable organisations and social enterprises offering programmes to improve the life chances of young people.
However, our programmes use a unique 3:1 model which means that we’re able to sustainably use our profits to provide additional places on our programmes, to young people from low income homes.
We believe that all young people are gifted and talented, regardless of their background.
Our mission is to empower and develop the next generation of leaders and change-makers and we’re looking for volunteer tutors that are passionate about making a difference in young people’s lives!
If you are an undergraduate or graduate, you could make a difference by joining us as a volunteer tutor. As a volunteer tutor, you’ll need to:

Have a passion for helping children and young people

Provide online one-to-one tutoring support for 1 hour week

Build pupil confidence in English.

Have strong subject knowledge (confident enough to tutor up to GCSE)

Work collaboratively with other tutors and mentors

Have a minimum of an undergraduate degree or be working towards this

Additional information: We’re looking for tutors that can commit to a minimum of 2 academic terms of volunteering.
We will need to conduct reference checks and you will need an Enhanced DBS for this role as you will be working directly with children. We can process this for you or you may submit one if this is less than 3 years old.

Are you looking for a role where you can make a real and lasting difference to young people in your community? We are currently recruiting Volunteer Police Cadet Unit Leaders for our Basingstoke unit.
This is a unique opportunity to guide and inspire young people while developing your own leadership, communication and organisational skills.

What the Role Involves

• Planning and coordinating weekly cadet sessions
• Delivering an engaging, inclusive curriculum
• Organising and supporting community safety and engagement events
• Acting as the main point of contact for parents and guardians
• Promoting the cadet unit within the local area
• Managing records, budgets, and risk assessments
• Ensuring the welfare, safety, and development of all cadets and volunteers
This is a varied and rewarding role where you can genuinely shape the experiences of young people and fellow volunteers.

We welcome volunteers from all backgrounds, prior cadet or youth‑work experience is not required. What matters most is your ability to:
• Communicate effectively
• Motivate and support young people
• Demonstrate patience, empathy, and commitment
• Uphold the constabulary’s values of respect, empathy, courage, and public service
Training and Support
All volunteers receive:
• Safeguarding training
• A full induction
• Ongoing CPD and skills development (e.g., first aid, conflict management)
• Support from the wider Cadet Team and fellow leaders
