Job Summary

As part of a wider Mission and Ministry Team, the Mission and Discipleship Trainer will equip and support lay ministers and all interested learners in their theological understanding, spiritual growth, and practical ministry skills. They will contribute to the teaching and worship life of the diocese, engaging with a breadth of Anglican traditions.There are three key aspects of the responsibilities in this role.

• The first is, in communication with the Mission and Discipleship Enabler, to develop more contextual and locally based training contexts for existing and emerging learning and training programmes to facilitate more accessibility for parishes and benefices for which the diocesan offices are less accessible. This will involve working with strategic places identified in the South, Southwest, and North of the diocese to implement the vision to establish ‘satellite’ training centres. Initially this will focus on BPP (Bishop’s Permission to Preach); BCM programmes (Bishop’s Commission for Mission); and introductory theology and discipleship programmes.
• The second is promoting discipleship and ministerial training through networking and intentional communications to accelerate efforts being made to equip a broader demographic of Christians with leadership skills in view of the diocesan and national Church of England vision and values to become ‘younger and more diverse’. This will involve working collaboratively with the Mission and Discipleship Enabler, the Young Vocations Team (team under development), and the Racial Justice Advisor, alongside other team members and also work with clergy to understand specific contexts of training needs arising. Success in promotions and ‘recruitment’ of more diverse Christians will require working with the COMs team to support effective use of social media to target younger audiences, facilitate fast updates of events, and identify opportunities for story sharing. 
• Thirdly, there is a responsibility to oversee, grow, and develop the network of Children, Youth and Families ministers/workers. This will include responsibility for organising, hosting and, where appropriate, delivering training at these events, and overseeing the BCM in Children, Youth and Families work. Part of the work will also be to support specific CYF workers including, where helpful, visiting them on site to encourage and advise them in their work and put them in communication with the network for mutual ongoing support. It will involve keeping up to date with the national initiatives for CYF to facilitate a connected approach. An important development in this aspect of the role will be to help implement a vision for more collaborative work with the Education Team to promote and help facilitate close working between churches and schools across the diocese. 

Key role requirements:

This is an office-based role, with the expectation to work for 2-3 days per week from home. The role will involve travel across the diocese, with occasional evening and weekend commitments.

About you: We are seeking someone who can demonstrate the following background and experience:

• A BA (Hons) or equivalent in theology is essential. An MA or higher degree in theology is desirable. Excellent level of English both spoken and written. 
• Demonstrated success in training, and supporting volunteer teams is essential.
• Experience in developing and maintaining digital learning environments and online resources is essential.
• Track record of evaluating learning outcomes and adapting training approaches based on participant feedback. 
• Experience in teaching theology and facilitating worship across diverse Anglican traditions.

Job Purpose

As Corporate Partnerships Manager, you’ll play a key role in supporting and growing Jessie May’s corporate income. You’ll nurture existing partnerships while developing and managing a robust pipeline of new prospects, in line with our wider fundraising and organisational strategy.

Main Responsibilities

Relationship Management and Stewardship

• Manage a portfolio of corporate partnerships, building strong, strategic relationships and delivering high-level stewardship to encourage ongoing support and long-term sustainability.
• Plan, manage, and deliver corporate cultivation and stewardship events, visits, and meetings with existing supporters and new prospects, while developing a corporate partnerships calendar of activities to enhance and grow relationships
• Identify key senior contacts within each partnership and drive stakeholder engagement, leveraging internal relationships to deepen commitment across all levels of the organisation.
• Ensure all corporate relationships comply with the Fundraising Regulator and internal due diligence requirements, and that all partnership activity aligns with Jessie May’s brand and values.

Pipeline Development

• Research, identify and cultivate new corporate partnership opportunities through proactive and strategic pipeline management.
• Secure new multi-year corporate and charity of the year partnerships through strong prospect research, tailored proposals, and confident pitching.
• Research, evaluate and develop new corporate fundraising opportunities including strategic partnerships, Charity of the Year partnerships, commercial partnerships, payroll giving, cash or gift in-kind donations, sponsorship and pro-bono opportunities.
• Represent Jessie May at networking and events to promote our work and develop new leads.

Other Responsibilities

• As directed by the Head Fundraising and Communications, deliver regular activity and income reports, and participate in the budgeting and reforecasting of corporate income.
• Represent Jessie May at fundraising events, including weekends and out-of-hours. 
• Monitor and evaluate fundraising performance, ensuring all activities align with best practices and compliance standards.
• Be flexible and carry out any other associated duties that may arise, develop, or be assigned.

Conditions, including but not limited to the following:

• Checks: The appointment is subject to satisfactory references, DBS check and a probationary period of six months. 
• Salary:  £33,739 - £37,241 depending on experience.  Salaries are reviewed annually, at the discretion of the Trustees, where the budget allows, with any increases effective from April. 
• Pension: There is a group personal pension scheme that you are entitled to participate in, subject to the rules of the scheme.  You will be automatically enrolled into the scheme, however there is the option to opt out.  The employer’s contribution is 5 per cent while the employee’s contribution is 4 per cent of the pensionable salary.

Project

GPIMHS is an emotional and wellbeing service that supports adults aged 18+ in primary care who are experiencing a range of mental health difficulties. Clients are offered extended consultation times, quick and easy access to practical advice, and tailored support for their mental health needs from a multidisciplinary team.

Clients can explore the situation affecting their wellbeing – Whether that is an ongoing mental or physical health problem, loneliness, debt, or other issues. They can then be guided to appropriate resources that may help, including talking therapies, benefits advice, or an introduction to a local community group.

The role of the Community Connector is fundamental to the development of these innovative teams and mental health services based within networks of GP Practices (Primary Care Networks – PCNs). The role supports the ongoing development and mobilisation of integrated primary care mental health services. GPIMHS is delivered in partnership between Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (SABP) and the voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) sector.

The Role

As part of a multidisciplinary team based in primary care, the Community Connector will:

• Collaborate with the Mental Health Practitioner to conduct assessments (including risk assessments), assist with triaging incoming referrals, support clients in identifying socially determined needs and goals, provide self-management tools, and facilitate personal support plans.
• Deliver motivational and structured psychosocial interventions to promote recovery and wellbeing.
• Encourage independence through an asset-based approach that builds on individuals’ strengths, preferences and natural support networks.
• Establish and maintain effective relationships with GPs, practice staff, health practitioners, and a wide range of agencies to ensure coordinated support and continuity of care.
• Support clients in accessing community services including Community Connections, housing providers, family and carer support, debt advice, and employment services.
• Facilitate engagement with key services such as Safe Havens, CMHRS (Community Mental Health Recovery Services), and local wellbeing activities.
• Connect clients with peer support and volunteering opportunities and provide support to peer support workers within the PCN.
• Assist with community resource mapping, maintain a database of local resources, identify gaps in provision, and collaborate with VCSE organisations to develop needed services.
• Broker and build partnerships between public and voluntary sector agencies to enhance service delivery and access.
• Complete quality outcome measures with clients and conduct regular reviews (i.e. DIALOG+).
• Attend regular supervision with the Mental Health Practitioner (case management) and Team Manager (line management).

About You

Qualifications and Experience

• A diploma or degree in an appropriate subject e.g. counselling, psychology, social work, probation, mental health, Health and Social Care (Level 3) or NVQ Level 3+.
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience of mental health work.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and basic Excel skills.
• Experience of using electronic patient record systems/case management systems (e.g. SystmOne, Halo, IAPTus) and/or ability to learn how to use the electronic patient record system.
• Ability to enter and manipulate data on a database as required by the Service and Commissioners to include in monitoring and reports.
• Ability to work from home and maintain confidentiality and professionalism when and if required using Microsoft Teams and other virtual platforms.

The Oxfordshire Homelessness Alliance (the Alliance) is a group of organisations (Local government, A2 Dominion, Aspire, Connection Support, Elmore, Homeless Oxfordshire and St Mungo’s) that came together in 2022 to deliver single homelessness services across the county under one contract.

Services delivered by the Alliance include the city and county outreach services for people experiencing rough sleeping, supported accommodation such as the hostel O’Hanlon House, shared dispersed supported accommodation, and homelessness prevention services.

The Alliance is commissioned through a pooled annual budget of c£3.8m which all District Councils in Oxfordshire, the City Council, the County Council, and the Berkshire, Oxfordshire, and Buckinghamshire Integrated Care Services, contribute towards. Oxfordshire County Council and Oxford City are the lead commissioners of the Alliance. 

As part of the initiative, the Alliance will deliver an ambitious housing led change programme which is seeing services remodelled to support and enable people to live in their own homes and fulfil their aspirations. 

This role is hosted by Connection Support which is part of the Oxfordshire Homelessness Alliance. The role will be guided by the work plan of both the alliance chair and the alliance commissioners.

The impact you will have

As the Oxfordshire Homelessness Alliance Programme Manager, you will play a pivotal role in making the alliance and the services it delivers a success. You will provide strategic and operational oversight and day to day leadership and management.

You will strive to improve the services that are delivered by working closely with the Alliance Leadership and Management Team, partners, commissioners, and organisations working to put an end to homelessness. The Partnerships Account Manager will drive business growth by securing new partnerships and managing key client accounts across designated regions. 4. Team Management and Support Coordination

5. Bid Management and Process Improvement

   • Oversee the preparation and submission of tenders and bid applications, working closely with administrators to ensure high-quality and timely submissions.

   • Continuously review and improve internal processes to optimise bid management, client onboarding, and service delivery.

   • Report on bid submission performance, review client feedback to continuously improve. 

Essential Skills and Experience:

• Detailed knowledge of the UK Education Sector. 

• Experience working in the education sector or with local authorities, particularly in roles involving SEND or children’s services.

• Proven track record in client relationship management, with experience in sales or partnership development roles.

• Strong communication skills, particularly in face-to-face and telephone interactions, with the ability to build rapport quickly and maintain long-lasting relationships.

Job Profile

The Trusts & Foundations Coordinator role is within the Trusts & Foundations team in CAFOD’s Integrated Funding and Business Innovation section. The post-holder will report to an International Programme Funding Officer Trusts & Foundations, (IPFOTF) and works closely with Trusts & Foundations and Institutional Fundraisers, the Major Gifts and Philanthropy team, other Fundraising & Participation teams and International Programme teams, in order to secure grants under £100,000 from Trusts & Foundations, Religious Orders and Catholic Associations. Key Responsibilities 

Relationship management and cultivation  

• Responsibility for stewardship and development of a portfolio of mainstream grant-making trusts, personal/family trusts, Catholic/Christian trusts and Catholic religious orders and associations.

• Responsibility to re-engage lapsed trusts. 

• Work with the IPFOTF to develop appropriate strategies for cultivation, donation uplift, and approaches to prospective trusts and religious orders. 

• Prepare well-researched funding applications/proposals and produce timely reports. 

• Ensure all communications are appropriate to the needs of the funder. 

• Liaise with other team members in gathering relevant communication materials.

• Ensure that funders are appropriately invited to donor cultivation events and that relevant materials and other documentation are prepared as necessary. 

Prospect research 

• Conduct internal and external prospect research on donors/prospects using the internet, online databases and other sources, e.g. Charity Commission and Fundsonline, segmenting and prioritising as appropriate. 

• Carry out research on CAFOD projects and programmes available for funding/requiring funding and liaising with international colleagues for this purpose. 

• Engage with relevant media articles, particularly in the Catholic and religious media. 

Information management 

• Monitor on a regular basis the funding interests of charitable trusts, income and expenditure trends, information about trustees, application procedures etc. 

• Maintain up to date records of all communications with trusts and ensure that all information is recorded accurately on the database. 

• Keep up to date on external developments in trust fundraising and participate in the Institute of Fundraising Trusts Special Interest Group. 

Other 

• Contribute to other aspects of CAFOD’s work where necessary, including engaging in divisional and CAFOD-wide forums, as agreed with Head of Team. 

• Support CAFOD in ensuring an integrated approach to fundraising across our different income streams. 

• An essential requirement of all members of the Team is to keep donor information that is not in the public forum strictly confidential. 

• Attend and contribute to regular section, department and CAFOD-wide meetings and briefings. 

• Participate in training and other activities as requested by their line manager. 

• Welcome visitors to Romero House.

Job-specific competencies

I. Knowledge and understanding of trusts and foundation fundraising, preferably gained in a UK charity. 
II. Experience of engagement with Religious Orders to secure funding for charity work. 
III. Polished writing skills with the ability to adapt the style of writing to a range of communications tools. 
IV. Experience of extracting and analysing key information and diligent and accurate in recording information. 
V. Good verbal communication skills and experience of face to face engagement with potential funders. 
 
Desirable Criteria

• Knowledge of the culture, structure and networks of the Catholic Church in England and Wales. 
• Experience of planning and implementing fundraising or cultivation events for high net worth individuals, including trusts and foundations. 
• Experience of proposal writing and donor reporting. 
• Knowledge of overseas development or humanitarian work.
