The National Youth Agency is looking for a new Youth Voice and Influence Officer to join our Operations Team.

Contract: Permanent
Hours: Full-time - 37 hours per week
Salary: £36,050 per annum
Remote: This role is homebased with occasional travel for staff residentials and other events.

As the national body for youth work, the NYA has a dual function. We are the professional statutory and regulatory body (PSRB) responsible for qualifications, quality standards, and safeguarding for youth work and services in England. In line with our charity mission and aims, we also champion youth work through research, advocacy, campaigns, and programmes.

We work in partnership and believe in collaborative leadership, listening to youth workers and the youth work sector so that we can understand their needs and respond to the challenges they face. About the Role and Key responsibilities:

Deliver Against Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Work with your line manager to define clear KPIs that align with NYA's strategic goals.
• Consistently deliver activities to a high standard within agreed timelines.
• Monitor and report on progress against KPIs, identifying challenges and proposing solutions.
• Support the evaluation of youth engagement programmes to promote continuous improvement.

Youth Voice Engagement and Delivery

• Lead and support the delivery of youth voice and influence activities and events.

Flexibility and Support Across NYA Teams

Building Relationships with Young People and Stakeholders

The Careers & Enterprise Company (CEC) is looking for a Senior Manager - Network to support our mission to help every young person find their best next step. You will ensure consistent high-quality delivery and support for all Careers Hubs across the country.

You will play a key role in delivering CEC’s current and future ambitions through our network of Careers Hubs, including the government’s ambition for a new work experience guarantee to ensure that all pupils participate in 2 weeks’ worth of work experience by the time they leave year 11. Careers Hubs will be a key coordinating and delivery mechanism for this guarantee.

You will balance national intent with local priorities, ensuring national government agenda is delivered upon through the lens of place and devolution. You will work closely with senior stakeholders across Strategic and Local Authorities who we partner with in the delivery of careers education through Careers Hubs.

Reporting to the Associate Head of Network Development, with a team of 8 Area Managers, you will provide a central point of accountability, senior stakeholder management and operational support to Area Managers.

You will contribute as a member of the senior management team of Network and Employers and the wider organisation. Contributing towards the strategy and operational delivery and leading/co-leading on cross Network and Employer and cross-company projects.

This role suits someone who can lead the delivery of a large-scale national programme and is a natural relationship builder. You will thrive on delivering change management and be comfortable working through ambiguity to secure lasting impact. The role will require travel across the country.

Key Responsibilities

Oversight of the Spear Programme

• As a confident communicator, you will lead group sessions of around 10 young people each, using coaching skills to transform attitudes to their own ability and the workplace, and to raise their awareness and maximise potential in stepping into the world of work
• Prepare and coach group and 1-1 sessions with the Spear Coach
• Ensure the programme is delivered in line with agreed targets, and report KPIs on recruitment, retention and completion of Spear Trainees to Resurgo and the Spear Trust, as well as their ongoing progress and sustainment of work or education

Partnership liaison and relationship management

• Establish the primary local referral agencies and steward relationships with these, overseeing and building a strategy to ensure recruitment of young people onto the Spear programme is effective
• Maintain and develop relationships with local partners to form a strong referral network

Line Management and training

• Manage the Spear Coach, using a coaching approach to invest in their growth and development
• Be line managed by Resurgo on Spear Programme performance and ongoing operations of the centre, and report back on KPIs

Church Community

• The Spear Centre Manager is directly employed by Alive Church, meaning you are part of a vibrant church staff team and submerged in an exciting faith community
• You will be required to establish strong relationships with key people at the church to ensure the engagement and backing of church members and help the Spear Coach to establish a strong presence at the church to build a network of supporters for the Spear programme
• Ensure the Spear programme is a key missional feature of the work of the church; this may involve attending church events and speaking at services

Site management 

• Work with the Church to coordinate the training room and any infrastructure needs for the Spear Centre
• Liaise with relevant staff locally on-site issues and work to resolve them as soon as possible, ensuring the office and training room are safe and tidy working spaces in line with health and safety policies

Westway Trust are seeking a dedicated and experienced Children Services Manager with a track record of managing a Good or Outstanding Oftsed rated Early Years’ service, who will be committed to supporting and enhancing the lives of children in the North Kensington community.

This role is key to positioning the Trust as a provider of affordable, vital and culturally appropriate services.  Reporting to the Senior Manager Learning, you will lead and manage on all aspects of the Trust’s nursery and crèche services, ensuring the highest standards of health, safety, safeguarding, and Ofsted requirements are met.  You will manage a team of full and part-time staff and will build strong partnerships with families and the local community. You will be a confident communicator working closely with statutory regulators, commissioners, partners and stakeholders.

Key responsibilities of the role include but not limited to:

• Manage the staff team to deliver the Nursery and Crèche services.

• Quality assure and develop and improve services to maintain and improve our Ofsted position.

• Keep appropriate records of all children and account for their social and individual developmental needs.
• Monitor and report against the delivery objectives of the service providing observation and feedback to Nursery and Crèche workers so that they can improve their own direct planning and delivery and qualifications.
• Provide data as required for reporting internally to your line manager and through the Trusts Governance, and externally.

Qualification:

• Relevant qualification in childcare at a minimum Level 4. 
• Safeguarding (desirable)

Knowledge and Experience:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience of managing a Nursery with experience of all the relevant duties, monitoring, reporting and quality improvement.
• Experience of being the main contact for Ofsted. 
• A track record of working collaboratively with colleagues, partners and stakeholders to develop successful partnerships, growth, and achieve joint success.
• Strong experience of planning ahead, scheduling, attention to detail and problem solving.
• Experience of managing staff and supporting their development.
• Experience of managing resources and budgets.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and experience of writing reports.

Rescue Service: A rescue service with out of hours capacity to facilitate the safe return home, at a critical teachable moment, of under 25’s from West Yorkshire, Greater Manchester, West Midlands, Merseyside, and London, where they are identified outside of their home police force area, in connection with county lines.

Job Description

• To recruit, manage, motivate, coach and develop a staff team including carrying out annual appraisals and regular supervision meetings.  To manage their health, safety and wellbeing.
• To promote and embed Catch22’s vision and values in local service delivery
• To ensure all service user information, interventions and other data as required by the contract are recorded on the relevant data management system in line with Catch22’s policy. 
• Weekly review of service data to identify any risks to service delivery, and outcome performance and put in place corrective actions.
• To be the designated safeguarding lead in the service, ensure that all safeguarding processes are followed and to be Catch22’s representative on local safeguarding boards where appropriate.
• To manage operational risk, health and safety, governance and safeguarding issues in line with Catch22 and Commissioner policies.
• Carry out regular case file audits as per the Audit Policy and Procedure and implement any service improvement or process change as a result of audit outcomes.
• To monitor referrals to the service ensuring they are in line with the volumes and eligibility criteria for the service; manage engagement with key stakeholders to promote the service and generate appropriate referrals to ensure the service / funding reaches the most appropriate young people.
• Be responsible for the allocation of referrals and ensure caseload management structures are in place including specialist female and mental health caseloads to maximise impact for young people.
• To ensure that the diverse needs and aspirations of all groups of service users are considered in service delivery and to enable all service users to fulfil their potential.
• To carry out such other relevant duties as may be required and as are commensurate with the nature and level of this post.
• When necessary, hold a small case load of high-risk clients ensuring appropriate support is given to young people according to their need who are referred by means of effective assessment and support planning.
• Provide consultation, information and where required, training and presentations, to other professionals, family and young people from a range of settings.

What is the Role?

The Partnerships Account Manager will drive business growth by securing new partnerships and managing key client accounts across designated regions.    • Provide oversight to ensure that administrative tasks are completed efficiently, supporting smooth client interactions and consistent follow-through.

   • Foster a strong working relationship between the Partnerships team and Recruitment, to ensure our application strategy is informed by tutor availability. 

5. Bid Management and Process Improvement

   • Oversee the preparation and submission of tenders and bid applications, working closely with administrators to ensure high-quality and timely submissions.

   • Continuously review and improve internal processes to optimise bid management, client onboarding, and service delivery.

   • Report on bid submission performance, review client feedback to continuously improve. 

Essential Skills and Experience:

• Detailed knowledge of the UK Education Sector. 

• Experience working in the education sector or with local authorities, particularly in roles involving SEND or children’s services.

• Proven track record in client relationship management, with experience in sales or partnership development roles.

​​​​​​The Youth Violence Intervention Practitioner role is to be part of the youth work team within Redthread with a primary focus on youth violence interventions in a health care setting. In this role you will be part of the Youth Violence Intervention Programme team at Queen Elizabeth Hospital. You will support young people aged, 11-25 years old, who present to hospital following an incident of violence of for whom them there are concerns around exploitation or extra-familial farm. You will work with the young person in the hospital as well as supporting them post discharge to ensure they have the support in place that they need and want. Other tasks include: 

• Hold a caseload and work with young people in a range of settings, including in A&E and on the wards, in the community, in face-to-face and group contexts, and promote their personal, educational, health and social development through all interactions.
• Assist with the on-going development of the service model to ensure that clients gain the maximum benefit from Redthread’s interventions.
• Ensure information resources such as client forms, databases and contact files are kept fully up-to-date and secure, in line with GDPR, the Data Protection Act and our Confidentiality Policy and Consent Policy. Maintain high quality recording of interventions with young people on our database, Threads, in line with Redthread’s best-practice requirements. (Training will be provided.)
• Collect and record evidence of project outcomes and young people’s achievements, to ensure the completion of monitoring forms and project progress reports as required.
• Maintain a good level of knowledge of the issues around youth violence and Child Exploitation.
• With guidance and support from the Team Leader, develop skills to further your work with the young people.
