The position of CEO is an exciting and challenging role that is primarily external facing in order to promote and further develop the essential support we provide to families in need throughout Camden and Islington.
A key aspect is to continue growing our network of stakeholders, partners, corporate sponsors, commissioners and donors. The CEO will also be expected to lead the drive to secure new income streams, and maintain existing relationships with key funders and stakeholders.
The CEO works with the Board of Trustees to drive the future strategy, ensure fulfilment of the implementation plan and direct a staff team comprising a Head of Delivery, 3 Family Liaison Managers, An Operations Manager, a Community Projects Manager, a Bookkeeper, and a Fundraising Consultant.

Core Responsibilities
· Support the team in identifying funders and income generation opportunities
· Build networks with new and existing funders to engage their support
· Represent and participate at external events and meetings to promote HSC&I
· Actively contribute to expanding the role and influence of Home-Start London consortium in the wider London area
· Be accountable for the management of resources to enable us to actively support a minimum of 90 to 120 families at any one time
· Provide leadership and oversight to colleagues and volunteers to ensure the correct outcomes for families through training, governance and quality assurance
· Performance and line management of Head of Delivery, Funding and Projects Manager and Bookkeeper
· Annual budget setting in conjunction with the Treasurer, and ongoing monitoring and reporting of financial position
· Provide management reports to the Trustee Board on progress against key performance measures
· Ensure that we remain compliant with all legislative and policy changes that impact the charity and our processes
· Understand the impact of legislative, changing political, economic and social climate on our work, and share this knowledge within the team to ensure compliance
Personal Specification / Attributes
The successful candidate will be an experienced Senior Manager/Chief Executive with a demonstrable track record of successfully running an organisation or team leadership. You will possess strong strategic management, governance and people skills in addition to being solution focussed. Excellent stakeholder management skills are essential as is the ability to generate income from a range of sources.
Essential knowledge and skills
· Three years experience as a Senior Manager / Chief Executive
· Ability to prioritise and manage a varied workload, working to tight deadlines
· Demonstrable success in raising significant income from a variety of external sources

Job responsibilities
STRATEGY
- To work closely alongside the Bishop and Archdeacon in developing, delivering and reviewing a measurable and impactful Edmonton Area Plan within the 2030 Vision for London.
- To actively encourage and enable the projects and plans for mission across the Area working closely with the Bishop, Archdeacon and the Area Deans for each of the four Deaneries and other Area and Diocesan staff.
- To develop a strategy in the Area in line with the overarching diocesan Mission Framework, which relates to the other four Area strategies and which leads directly towards plans for growth
- Some of these mission plans will relate to work on funding applications and others which relate to the increased provision and maintenance of services by personal interventions and strategic support.

About this key role
Your role will be to provide young person centred holistic support – including everything from helping clients to understand their own behaviour and its consequences, and promoting change, to helping clients’ families to support them and providing practical help with attending appointments, education, training and employment options, housing, benefits, debt and other aspects of day-to-day living. You’ll be part of a client focused SOS Team delivering casework services, predominantly Monday-Friday during office hours, and within Islington (although other hours and deployments may be required). You’ll also work closely with a range of partner agencies to ensure clients access the appropriate services and get the best outcomes.
Working flexibly within the community, with responsibility for one or more volunteers, you’ll be building effective and engaging relationships with young people involved in or at risk of being involved in the criminal justice system, with the aim of improving their life chances. You’ll conduct robust risk assessments and strengths-based needs assessments, with safeguarding as the priority, and ensure that all young people work towards an agreed support plan which is regularly reviewed and adapted. You’ll also build effective relationships with agencies providing services to the client group, and enable clients to engage in positive activity within the community (e.g. boxing, football, etc).
What we are looking for
• Significant experience of working with children, young people and/or vulnerable adults and delivering interventions that have had a positive impact – preferably in a health and wellbeing context and/or on an offender led support project.
• Experience of providing support, advice and advocacy, with the ability to assess clients’ needs.
• Extensive experience of managing complex safeguarding issues with children, young people and adults who are at risk of violence or exploitation, whilst working alone.
• Understanding of the physical, social, emotional and developmental needs of children and young people, their specific needs as they transition to legal adulthood, and the issues they face, e.g. exploitation, victimisation, offending, school exclusion, unemployment, trauma.
• Extensive knowledge of the impact of context – with a clear understanding of best practice around contextual safeguarding and those experiencing harm outside the home.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed practice in the context of working with children, young people and parents/carers impacted by violence and exploitation, and of how trauma –including from their own lives – can impact on how practitioners manage cases.
• Working knowledge of child protection and safeguarding legislation/policy, with experience of providing support, advice and advocacy to staff with a safeguarding responsibility.
• Understanding of the importance of good quality case recording quality assurance principles.

Role Overview

Translating the work of our grassroots partners and GFC staff into powerful social media narratives, you will produce content that is aligned with our mission and ensure that we are maximising the potential of our digital channels to grow our supporter base and build a growing global movement.
You will collaborate with graphic designers, videographers, various digital agencies and colleagues around the world on a daily basis in undertaking your role coordinating campaigns and our daily social media schedule.
You should have a passion for staying up to date with industry trends and innovations, a track record of creating content aligned with cultural moments and a knowledge of how popular culture can drive social change. You will be skilled in producing viral content and driving actions and donations through social media.

Position Responsibilities
Social Media Management and Digital Content Creation
- Support the execution of an integrated strategy for our social media channels including leading on content planning and creation, posting and analysis.
- Staying on top of trends and learning from analytics to create compelling and engaging content that meets agreed KPIs.
- Develop and produce high-quality multimedia content for various platforms, including social media, websites and email campaigns.

Terms: Full-time contract, home-based with attendance from time to time at the UK office in central London when necessary or requested to deliver work plans.
Weekly hours: 35 hours per week
Flexible Working Location: This position is open to candidates from any location, but you must be able to collaborate easily, on a daily basis, with key colleagues (currently UK, Spain, Kenya) in the Marketing and Communications team.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for:
The Lead Coach is primarily responsible for overseeing the training room and group sessions with young people. You will help shape the training environment and will confidently adapt and deliver materials and sessions to work within the group’s development towards work readiness.
Delivery of Spear Programme - Group and 1:1 coaching [60%]
- Preparing and coaching Spear Foundation sessions and 1-1s, ensuring that young people are engaged, retained and work-ready by the end of this initial phase of the programme

- Adapting the Spear coaching material according to the needs of the Trainees and managing behaviour effectively; handling safeguarding

You will support the delivery of the Linking Loss project, a study focused on co-producing a peer-led, group intervention for people experiencing mental health difficulties following early pregnancy loss that is inclusive of marginalised communities. Working under the supervision of the Research Programme Coordinator, and alongside a multidisciplinary team that includes the Principal and Co-Investigators, experts with lived experience of pregnancy loss and mental health difficulties, you will contribute to a range of research activities. These include recruiting participants, conducting qualitative interviews with people who have experienced pregnancy loss, liaising with NHS services, managing data in line with GDPR and ethical guidelines, and ensuring adherence to study protocols.
What you’ll bring
You will have a background in psychology or a related field, with experience in clinical or qualitative research involving parents and young children, particularly within mental health contexts.
Essential skills and experience:
- Clinical research experience in perinatal mental health, health psychology, or health inequalities;
- Proficiency in collecting, analysing, and managing qualitative data;
- Strong understanding of participant and patient confidentiality and ethical research practices;
- Experience in effectively engaging parents as participants in research studies.

About CoppaFeel!
CoppaFeel! are the UK’s only youth focused breast cancer awareness charity, and we’re on a mission to get every 18-24 year old checking their chest. We educate people on the signs of breast cancer and encourage them to check their chests monthly, so that if they notice something unusual they are empowered to contact their GP and advocate for themselves.
We do this because when diagnosed early, breast cancer treatments are more effective and survival rates are higher. Early detection can save lives.
Breast cancer does not need to be detected late, and as long as we are here and continue to be supported by people like you, we will do all we can to make sure this doesn’t continue to happen.
The Role
Following a recent departmental restructure, we’re entering an exciting period for the newly formed content team. This shift in the team structure highlights our commitment to making best in sector content - all in the name of our mission; to ensure all breast cancers are diagnosed early and accurately in young people.
We are looking for an exceptional Head of Content who will be responsible for delivering our holistic content strategy over the next year. You’ll oversee the management, production and strategic placement of all organic content across CoppaFeel!’s channels, and in house paid campaign activations. You will help shape CoppaFeel!’s approach to content so that it appeals, resonates with and converts our key audience of 18 - 24 year olds, as well as our supplementary audiences, across website, email and social channels.
You will work closely with the Head of Marketing and alongside other Heads of Dept, bringing your expertise and knowledge to leadership discussions to help shape the future of the organisation. You will report to the Marketing Director and line manage the Social Media Manager and Digital Marketing Manager, and you will have exposure to the Senior Management Team.
This is a fixed term contract for 13 months.
This is a hybrid role, with the expectation that you will attend the London office 2 days per week. You will be required to attend the office for quarterly team meetings, department meetings and in person training, we will provide plenty of notice for when you are required to be in for these purposes.

- Ensure all content is consistent with brand guidelines and tone of voice.

- Ownership of the Content Team budget and quarterly re-forecasting.

What are the responsibilities of the Support Worker - Independent Child Trafficking Guardianship Service:
Support for Children:
Independent Child Trafficking Guardians support children who have experienced trafficking and exploitation, working alongside other professionals to ensure that children receive appropriate support in line with their needs.
Within this role you will:
- Support young people through short term pieces of work, for example groupwork and transition out of the service
- Work alongside ICTG's to deliver trips and activities for young people
- Support young people to engage with participation activities both within NCTC and as delivered by partner organisations
- Maintain up to date and accurate recordings on the children's electronic files.
- Identify and respond to safeguarding, alerting managers to concerns and completing actions as required
- Where appropriate contribute to national awareness raising sessions
- Contribute to the national on call rota
Home based with potential for extensive travel across all NCTC delivery sites.

The post holder is responsible for delivering and developing all METRO’s mental health and youth services, and some of our community projects. They will provide strategic leadership for METRO’s work in the mental health and youth domains, line managing a team of managers. The organisation are a UK based children’s charity that helps marginalised young people to make and monetise music. Every year, the charity raises £10 million to fund inspirational grassroots music projects and support aspiring young creatives up and down the UK. The charity are on a mission and campaigning to break down barriers for young people facing inequity, exclusion and discrimination and you could be a part of that too!
This role is available on a fixed term 12-month contract (maternity cover), where you would work on a full-time basis (37.5 hours a week). You will have the opportunity work a hybrid working arrangement which will include 3 days a week at Southwark based office on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. The salary for this role is £30,000-£32,000, depending on level of experience.
You will report to the Chief Operating Officer and oversee the day to day running of the office. This will involve, co-ordinating meetings for trustees and staff members, ensuring operational systems and procedures are working efficiently, liaising with external partners and suppliers, and assist with making sure the office is health and safety compliant, while ensuring it is a warm and welcoming environment.
You will support with finance administration, processing income and expenditure and ensuring prompt submission of monthly financial reports.
You will provide HR administrative support, including recruitment, contracting, inductions, DBS checks and the management of confidential documents in keeping with GDPR compliance.
To be successful in this role, you will have experience working in a busy office environment and strong finance and administration experience. You will have experience of using MS Office, Asana and Icompleat or similar financial software. You will have strong levels of numeracy and experience in processing financial information. You will help co-ordinate recruitment campaigns and have experience using SafeHR and Web Recruit or similar HR packages. You will have excellent organisational and time management skills.
You will have strong communication skills and experience developing and maintaining professional relationships with stakeholders at all levels. You will also have experience in line management.
Desirably, you will have an understanding of the principles of data protection. You will have experience of creating contracts, knowledge of using Asana and other project management systems. You will have an interest in music and wider creativity, young people, and/or social justice issue.
