The role

The Marketing Officer is responsible for two key areas of delivery, splitting their time equally between supporting the PR and Marketing Manager to deliver key campaigns for the Foundation, and leading on the marketing services for the flagship sustainability project, Blues Go Green.

From working across all departments to support on promoting campaigns and overseeing website updates, to being the point of contact for our partner organisations for Blues Go Green, this job will provide an insight into all areas of marketing within the football industry.

Birmingham City FC Foundation has won a 4 year National Lottery funded project entitled ‘Blues Go Green’.‘Blues Go Green’ will engage the collective footprint of Birmingham City FC and the Foundation, working with partners to reduce climate emissions and increase environmental justice through solution driven change.

The Director of Creative Programmes is the critical role in ensuring that the charity can continue to deliver for the communities and creatives of Birmingham and the West Midlands. The post focuses on three key areas: young people and education, access, artist development and site-specific/festival work. We’re looking for a Lead Service Designer to help shape how Capacity embeds user-centred and co-production approaches across our work. This is a senior design role in our Public Sector Innovation team, with a remit that is both internal (building Capacity’s design practice, tools, and standards) and external (leading service design on projects with partners, including local authorities and communities). You’ll be the design lead and representing the Head of Public Sector Innovation's design direction in projects, ensuring our projects embed inclusive, agile, and user-centred methods. You’ll oversee the design direction day-to-day, assure quality across multiple workstreams, and mentor others, helping us grow a sustainable design capability inside Capacity.

To be successful you will:

• Communicate design strategy effectively across teams and organisations

The core of your role will be in generating funds from trusts and individual giving, with other fundraising and communications tasks included as time permits.

• To create and update cases for support for YMCA Doncaster’s fundable projects and general running costs.
• To be responsible for an assigned portfolio of trusts, foundations and similar, developing knowledge of, and relationships with, those funders.
• To make strong applications to funders within the assigned portfolio, matching YMCA Doncaster’s agreed cases for support with funders’ interests and requirements.
• To create, publicise and monitor outcomes of giving campaigns and / or fundraising events. 
• To nurture key external stakeholders including potential supporters from the local business community, the media and others as appropriate.
• To prepare and give presentations, maintain ongoing contact and host trustee or representative visits where required as part of fundraising work.
• To devise and oversee efficient evaluation and monitoring systems which meet funder requirements.
• To keep comprehensive records, in an established format, from initial contact with a potential funder through to either the rejection correspondence or the funding agreement and subsequent monitoring and evaluation.

The Community Engagement Officer is an essential role in fostering strong relationships with current and prospective members of the School Library Association community. The postholder will provide frontline support, drive online and in person engagement through outreach initiatives, and contribute to the growth and sustainability of the membership base. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about school libraries, children's books, education, and community-building. An expert communicator, you will be experienced in developing relationships with a variety of stakeholders at all levels and relish a busy role.

Coordinating and supporting our Branch network, you will collaborate on initiatives for development, delivery and new projects as they come online. You will be the first port of call for advice and expertise relating to school libraries and enabling our members to more effectively support their school communities. As resident children’s book expert, you will help with initiatives such as the SLA Information Book Award and member book related events. Supporting the delivery of online and in-person networking events and workshops for members, you will work with your SLA colleagues, in particular the Training and Events Officer, to deliver a high-quality member offer and to ensure member needs are reflected in all offerings. The ability to travel to training and events across the UK is essential. Duties include:

Branch network and member support

• Support the SLA Branch Network and member outreach
• Identify opportunities for developing initiatives to grow and develop the Branch network community, that will deliver on the SLA mission
• Develop strong relationships with local, regional and national stakeholders to support network growth and enable members to take full advantage of all relevant opportunities available to them
• Provide advice for SLA members on all aspects of school libraries, ensuring they are supported and can be as effective as possible in their school communities 
• Drive engagement and development of online communities as part of the branch network
• Coordinate the mentoring scheme and ensure it is promoted effectively, with necessary support and development available to mentees and training for mentors

 Training and events

• Support the development and delivery of a calendar of online and in-person networking and engagement events and workshops

Outreach and communications

• Use sector insight to identify opportunities for development of research and other initiatives, maintaining links and horizon scanning
• Provide SLA consultancy aligned with strategic approaches, supporting schools with development of their libraries, reading and information literacy provision to help children and young people reach their full potential
• Contribute to SLA communications such as TSL, newsletters, updates, and promotional materials
• Oversee the book review process in support of TSL, our quarterly journal

An ability to foster collaboration and community engagement will be an important part of this role. All team members contribute to office admin, maintaining member data and general office support.

To be successful in this role you should ideally be able to demonstrate:

• experience of working in school libraries, the education sector and a strong understanding of the education landscape
• strong knowledge of children and young people’s literature across the age ranges
• understanding of the curriculum and teaching and learning outcomes
• experience developing and delivering inspirational training, online and in person

The salary for this position is £19, 594.59 (FTE £29,000) for 25 hours per week, and comes with a 6% employer pension contribution.

This is a remote working role, with regular all team meetings which you will be required to attend, in addition to training and events across the UK and online. Working patterns can be negotiated. Prospectus is delighted to be working with an incredible charity that supports disabled and disadvantaged children, helping them to recruit for a Senior Finance Officer role.
 
This role is available on a permanent contract and part time basis (25 or 30 hours a week). The salary range is between £35,000-£40,000 FTE. This is a predominately office-based role, where you will attend the charity’s office in Redbridge (on the Essex/London border), with the opportunity to work from home 1 day a week. The charity is set in a beautiful 5 acre woodland on the edge of a park.
 
Within this Senior Finance Officer role, you will oversee all aspects of the charity’s financial operations and support with strategic decision making.
 
This key role involves managing financial systems (including Sage), processing income and expenditure, preparing monthly management accounts, and supporting with the annual audit process. You will monitor budgets, forecasts, and fund allocations, while ensuring compliance with charity and tax regulations. The role also includes preparing financial reports for Senior Management, Trustees, and Funders, supporting grant and restricted fund administration, and collaborating with the Fundraising and Office Admin teams on payroll, reporting, and financial planning. You’ll also help continuously improve financial procedures and reduce financial risk for the organisation.
 
To be successful in this role, you will be AAT qualified or part-qualified ACCA/CIMA or have equivalent finance qualification. You will have experience in a similar finance role, ideally in the charity or non-profit sector.
 
You will have experience in supporting financial reporting for externally funded projects, preparing charity accounts. You will have an understanding of charity finance, including restricted/unrestricted funds, knowledge of SORP, and charity accounting standards. You will have a strong attention to detail, and confidence in analysing and presenting financial data.
 
You will also have experience using Sage accounting system and Microsoft Excel. You will have excellent communication skills and ability to develop/maintain relationships with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels. You will also have the ability to manage time wisely and work to deadlines.

Established in 2016, Ada was the first new Further Education College in England since 1993. We currently have approximately 500 students and apprentices, with plans well underway to grow to over 850 learners by December 2025. This growth is supported by our two city centre hub campuses in London (Pimlico/Victoria) and Manchester (Ancoats).

Job Purpose

This role is critical for delivering activities with our prestigious corporate supporters while simultaneously building an impactful alumni community. The postholder will join Ada during an exciting phase of growth and will be responsible for both stakeholder management twitch volunteering and events and ensuring former students and apprentices are supported in their career progression and engagement through the #alwaysAda alumni programme. The role focuses on supporting  partnerships and shaping and delivering events, including professional development, volunteering, and mentoring/support.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

The Philanthropy and Alumni Executive Officer will be responsible for a combination of corporate partnership delivery and alumni community management:

A. Corporate Partnerships, Fundraising & Volunteering 

• Support the department  to develop and deliver partnership plans for all supporters.

• Ensure partnership objectives are met across programme activity, including employee volunteering.

• Work with other teams to deliver  volunteering opportunities, especially the Coaching programme which matches corporate volunteers to learners.

• Develop briefings and communications to corporate partners to strengthen partnerships.

• Provide tracking and reporting of all engagement activities with partners.

• Deliver a suite of events and touch points for supporters, and support the delivery of a calendar of events such as Ada Lovelace Day, 10th year anniversary, International Women's Day and other flagship events

B. Alumni Relations and Community Management

• Develop and maintain an ongoing dialogue with the alumni community 

• Produce termly newsletters 

• Undertake regular data collection cycles (using surveys and research) to track current employment and needs of alumni.

• Maintain our Alumni Data ensuring rigorous data protection/GDPR rules are adhered to.

• Help to continuously improve the alumni programme offer

• Deliver and shape a programme of planned communications and marketing to drive alumni engagement.

• Track and maintain alumni engagement, with a drive for meaningful engagement 

• Deliver and shape a programme of both in-person and virtual events and activities to drive impact, such as a jobs board, career coaching, and networking events.

• Maintain, manage, and internally champion the alumni database.

• Recruit and support champions from within the alumni network to act as alumni ambassadors.

• Attend professional development activities and meetings that may take place outside of normal working hours.

About the role 

Scripture Union England & Wales (SU) one of the UK’s longest-established children and youth ministry organisations is  working in partnership with Activate, an exciting local sport and wellbeing project, to offer this unique role to reach many more young people in the Bushy Park area and across the South of England through physical activity. 

We’re looking for a creative and entrepreneurial individual with a passion for using sport to help children and young people across the South of England to explore and respond to the good news of Jesus. 

This unique role combines the benefits of direct face-to-face engagement with young people in a local context, delivering mission through sport activities and programmes, while also developing and mentoring others to expand ministry across the South region. The ideal candidate will have equal passion and experience in both contexts. 

Key details: Employed by Scripture Union you will spend three days per week developing sports mission across London and the South. For two days per week, you will work on the Activate sports and wellbeing project working across the Bushy Park area.

You might have heard of us before if you're one of the 1.5 million+ who have attended one of our Christian holidays or missions over the years, or maybe you're one of the 40,000+ subscribers to have used our brilliant devotionals or been stirred by our exceptional bible resources. We've been at this for a fair few years... over 150 to be precise. Over this time, we’ve remained passionate about helping children and young people develop a vibrant faith in Jesus. As our name describes, the radical power of God's word has always been central to our approach.

We still do all the great stuff with resources and holidays, but in the last few years, we have sharpened our vision with a renewed focus to help the 95% of young people (primary and secondary school age) across the UK who have never stepped foot inside a church, to hear and respond to the good news of Jesus. Half Time is our brand new Explore-Respond resource which uses sports-themed videos and fun games to help the 95 to explore the life of Jesus by journeying through Mark’s Gospel. 

About Activate 

Activate is a sport and physical activity-based programme, formed in 2018, seeking to build community through wellbeing that invigorates faith.  Activate seeks to release God’s people to join in his mission through sport and physical activity in the areas surrounding Bushy Park. This includes gathering, encouraging and empowering local Christians involved in sports ministry, including expressions of chaplaincy and missional communities centred around sports clubs, centres, educational settings and gyms.  A number of local churches across denominations and Dioceses have been supporters of the project. 

In the past Activate has supported sports projects in local schools, an activity-based church service, wellbeing cafe sessions, exercise sessions for the elderly and youth activities.  The successful candidate will be involved in re-launching Activate’s mission after a break due to staff changes. 

About your team

With this role, you will have the benefit of being part of a national-focused sports team at SU, as well as the south team with a regional focus and the local context with Activate. You’ll work out of the office of St Peter’s Church, West Molesey, benefiting from the support of a local parish-based team including clergy and youth workers. You’ll contribute your expertise in a variety of settings, ranging from urban and suburban to coastal and rural areas across the south. You’ll have a brilliant time getting acquainted with this rich tapestry of local and national partners. Across the south region, we currently work with 130 churches and have 150 faith guides. We’d like to see these numbers grow significantly over the next few years and believe that a vibrant sports ministry can contribute meaningfully to this.

Key Responsibilities. As a HSH Co-ordinator you will:

• Carry out initial home-visits and support families to set and monitor goals
• Match volunteers with families according to need and capacity

The new role of Community Organiser: Community of St Paulinus at Sheffield Cathedral plays a key role in establishing the Cathedral as a resourcing church, partnering with parishes in the inclusive catholic tradition and embedding community organising principles across our parish partnerships and the Cathedral itself. Community organising is not simply a method but a core discipline in this initiative — shaping how relationships are built, leaders are developed, and action is taken for the common good. Through this approach, the Cathedral and its partners will contribute to the founding of Sheffield Citizens and work collaboratively for justice and human flourishing across the region. At the heart of the resourcing project will be a new non-residential mission community called the Community of St Paulinus (CsP). Although based at the Cathedral, notably in the rhythm of prayer, the CsP will be deployed in contextual mission with parish partners. Working closely with the Prior and Sub-Prior, the community organiser will be responsible for integrating community organising practices into our missional approach and supporting others as they seek to do the same. 

The Community Organiser will work with the CsP and the Project Resource Team - an agile group comprising a Project Manager, Fundraiser and Digital Evangelist - to provide practical and strategic support for missioners and parish partners engaged in parish revitalisation and the planting of new worshipping communities.
