The Island Lead Volunteer is a key volunteer leadership role within Scouting with responsibility for providing outstanding management and support for the groups within the County. EQUAL AQUA is an award-winning NGO providing equal access to water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) in Uganda. Equal Aqua is managed by an international team of volunteers, based mainly in the UK and Uganda. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR: We are recruiting a new Fundraising Manager in order to grow the charity's income and impact, enabling us to reach more communities and transform more lives. Specifically, we are looking for a person with good experience in fundraising or income generation - ideally in the WASH and international development sectors - to develop and deliver a fundraising strategy to grow EAU into a NGO with a seven-figure annual income. ROLE: Fundraising Manager (volunteer; part-time: 1-2 days a week)
The role of the Fundraising Manager:
- Oversee development and implementation of Equal Aqua's fundraising strategy in line with business objectives, and the vision and values of EAU;
- Lead an international team of volunteers to execute the fundraising strategy, delegating and managing responsibilities as appropriate;
- Lead EAU Fundraising team to raise income through multiple channels: grant and charitable foundation applications, corporate sponsorship, individual and community giving, and creative fundraising events;
- Manage EAU’s multi-country campaign(s) to secure new donors;
- Manage a portfolio of existing supporters, providing exceptional supporter care and building relationships, stewarding and nurturing existing donors;

Trustees play a crucial and key role in the setting up of Youth Mix, the strategic direction and steering of our new youth charity, ensuring we are a fantastic youth-led organisation for young people aged 16 to 26 years old. This is an exciting time for the Charity as we roll out our mentoring programme. We are looking for a Program Coordinator for our Scouts Program based in Ioannina, for a minimum commitment of 6 months.
In this role, you’ll be coordinating the daily planning and delivery of activities for young refugees in two refugee camps: Katsikas and Agia Eleni.
The program consists of English language classes, educational workshops and excursions outside of the camp. The program engages around 50 children at each site, between the ages of 8 and 17, the majority of whom are from Iraq, Afghanistan and Syria.
For this role:
Initially, you will work closely with the outgoing Program Coordinator to learn how the program functions. This may last a few weeks and may include preparing and delivering sessions in line with your skills, supporting teachers, and helping organise weekend excursions. You will be an integral part in supporting trans and non-binary young LGBTQ+ with issues related to their lived experience. elop is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and expects all volunteers to share this commitment.
In order to do this you will need to undertake an enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service check and provide two references.
Our Mentoring Volunteers provide support and are role models to the young people we work with, and must be responsible, reliable and committed to the mentoring relationship. You will need to be good at communicating, enthusiastic and have a desire to help LGBTQ+ young people.
Previous experience of working with young people would be beneficial but is not essential. No formal qualifications are required. You will need to commit to meeting with three young people on a one-to-one basis each for an hour a week for 6 months. About this key role
As our Children, Young People and Families Volunteer Mentor, you will focus on supporting Caseworkers delivering mentoring and specialist support for children, young people and their families, with the children on the edge of entering the care system and young people at risk of violence. Young Humanists are the voice for non-religious young people. Two-thirds of young people are non-religious. We provide them with the community and platform that their voices deserve. We think young people have a right to be heard and that more should be done to ensure policy reflects their views.
Young Humanists is led by a committee that drives national and regional events throughout the year. They are supported by a team of local Ambassadors, who are the ‘on the ground’ representatives, working as part of local humanist or other community groups. We also have a team of volunteers specialising in areas like social media, design and research, who support the committee and individual Ambassadors.
We are seeking a dedicated and driven Northern Ireland-based individual to join our network of Ambassadors, to assist the committee by:
- Sitting on the Northern Ireland Humanists committee, providing a formal link to Young Humanists by championing issues that are particularly relevant to young people in Northern Ireland.
- Putting on events with a view to getting younger people involved (e.g. pub quizzes, campaign work, family-friendly events like coffee mornings or Sunday brunches, litter picks or picnics)
- Be a contact point for other Young Humanists who want to attend nearby groups/events and an ambassador for Young Humanists at regional events.
- Provide local knowledge to make sure we promote relevant local opportunities to our members and, equally, promote Humanists UK and Young Humanist events or campaigns locally.

While there are no set hours we expect that up to three hours per week on average may be spent on the role, with this possibly increasing in the run-up to Young Humanists’ events.
All Young Humanists volunteers should be aged 18 to 35 (with eligibility ending the day before the applicant’s 36th birthday). Much of the work can be done remotely, but it is required that the post holder be based in Northern Ireland.

About The Way Youth Zone
The Way Youth Zone is a youth-led, open access, universal state of the art space for young people aged 8-19 (up to 25 with a disability) located centrally in the vibrant and diverse city of Wolverhampton.
We are looking for a new Chair to lead and support us in this exciting next phase of the Way’s development.
What will you be doing?
The role of Chair is a stimulating and challenging role that will call on your strategic and interpersonal skills.
It provides an opportunity to work alongside an experienced and diverse team of Trustees and senior management in a rapidly changing environment to make a real difference to the young people of Wolverhampton.
The Chair provides leadership and direction to the Board of Trustees to enable the Board to fulfil its responsibilities for the overall governance and strategic direction of the charity, as well as oversight and scrutiny of the charity’s operations.
The role is not remunerated. However, reasonable expenses incurred in carrying out the role will be repaid.
Time Commitment
· The Board meet 6 times a year for 2 hours in the evening (5pm -7pm).
· One to one meetings with the CEO every month, ideally twice a month. These can be done remotely.
· Ad hoc communication outside of formal meetings.
· Annual Board Development Day.
· Ideally the Chair will support on at least one sub-committee (3/4 meetings a year)
· Ideally you will be able to represent The Way Youth Zone within the community including at events once or twice a year.
· The Chair is encouraged to get to know our young people by joining them on a session.
