Job description

Due to expansion Brian Jackson College are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join our team.  We have a range of opportunities available for a Maths (GCSE), Functional skills including PSE, art and science tutor. Brian Jackson College are owned and managed by the Yorkshire Children’s Centre which is a medium sized Charity based in Kirklees.

The aim of the school is to promote inclusion, raise standards of behaviour and achievement with a vision where young people achieve their full potential in life.

Our Ethos is to offer a fresh start to all students; challenging and supporting them to achieve, developing self-belief and aspirations to support and encourage positive progression by proactive early intervention.

The successful candidate will deliver an educational curriculum to small groups of students with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) difficulties, providing them with an opportunity to develop personal, academic and vocational  skills and reach their full potential.

Brian Jackson College is an Ofsted ‘GOOD’ school supporting students that have been excluded or are at risk of exclusion from mainstream secondary schools school. If you want to make a difference to a young person’s future and support them in reaching their full potential then this is the job for you. Experience in supporting children with SEMH is essential. All successful candidates will have an enhanced DBS check and have the right to work in the UK.
