Main duties:

• To identify and research themes for each issue, sourcing and managing contributors to ensure the magazine has a clear, consistent, relevant and interesting voice to the readership.
• To lead on planning, sourcing contributors, writing and managing content of Under 5 magazine, 10 issues produced every year
• To liaise with Communications and External Affairs colleagues to ensure that corporate partnership publicity, advertorial, editorial and competition deals are delivered to meet terms of contra deals in relevant issues of Under 5.
• To write, edit and upload regular online news stories for selected digital communication including planning, writing and managing content for the fortnightly Under 5 e-newsletter.

Essential criteria:

• Proven experience of working on magazine in an editorial role with an ability to lead on commissioning, writing, sub-editing and proofing professional copy.
• Excellent journalistic writing skills, with the ability to write concise and accurate news copy.
• Clear understanding and practical experience of managing magazine print and production processes
• Strong interpersonal skills with direct experience of managing internal and external suppliers, journalists, production staff, advertisers and contributors.
• Strong creative and written skills with an ability to produce clear, accurate and interesting copy tailored for different audiences.

The role

We are excited to be recruiting for a Director of Finance and Resources to be responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of the financial management and HR functions within the Charity.  Working closely with the CEO as a member of the Executive team, the post holder will act as a strategic advisor to the Trustee board.

Key elements of the role will include:

• Leading the financial planning, cashflow management, budgeting and cost control for the charity. Working closely with the Finance Manager to ensure timely financial reporting is completed including monthly management accounts and forecasts.

The candidate we are looking for will have proven experience in a senior level finance role, preferably within the voluntary sector.  They will also have experience of leading an HR team with a proven ability to drive strategic HR initiatives.

We’re looking to appoint a new Evening Receptionist to work part-time in our Talking Therapies team. Our BACP accredited Talking Therapies department has been running for over 40 years and we are historically known for providing long term psychodynamic therapy.

Due to the success of the department, we have recently secured long term funding to meet the emerging needs of the local community. We have developed new and more accessible services which now include emotional support groups, psycho-education workshops and short-term counselling.

As our new Evening Receptionist, you will ensure the smooth running of the Talking Therapies reception on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings.

You will be a warm and empathetic individual with good compassionate reception skills and the ability to communicate on many levels.

This role will initially be based at our Morden site while our Wimbledon site is being refurbished. We are expecting to return to our Wimbledon site in January 2027 where the role will continue.

We would be really interested to meet with applicants who have experience of how services work either in a charity or similar service.

About the Role

The Producer: Public Programme (maternity cover) will work on the delivery of artist and curator-led talks, screenings, performance events, workshops and tours. The SLG collaborates with a range of art organisations, commissioning partners and universities and in 2026 will partner on public programme with New Contemporaries, London Performance Studios, Diasporas Now and New Curators. The Producer: Public Programme (maternity cover) will work with the Head of Programme (maternity cover) in the research, development and delivery of the Public Programme. This role also works closely with the Digital Communications Manager.
