About the role

Reporting into the Head of Financial Accounting, key responsibilities will include:

• Lead reviews of financial processes including documenting new workflows following CRM implementation.
• Perform a comprehensive review of the finance processes and system set up to strengthen organisational flexibility, and quality of reporting.
• Support the adoption of updated FRS102 accounting standards for leases and income.
• Assist with the preparation of year-end statutory accounts in line with the new Charities SORP (2026).

ISEAL is looking for a Finance Manager to manage the day-to-day finance function in a sustainability focused international not-for-profit organisation.

The Finance Manager, Financial Accounting is a hands-on role, leading a mostly remote team of 3 part-time staff, who collectively process all ISEAL’s transactions. Key responsibilities

Team management

• Oversee a team of 3 (2 direct reports) who process ISEAL’s day to day transactions, incl. purchase ledger, sales ledger and staff expenses /credit cards and payroll accounting
• Coordinate work planning, payment runs and monthly/quarterly accounting processes
• Work with the Finance Director to hold effective monthly Face to face team meetings.
• At times, provide back up and support to the different roles in the team
• Line manage, support and provide development and growth opportunities to direct reports

Financial accounting

• Responsible for and oversee the capture of all day-to-day transactions in ISEAL’s accounting records
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts on monthly/quarterly basis
• Oversee the payroll accounting, including 4 overseas payrolls
• Review VAT treatment of transactions and prepare VAT returns for review and submit it to HMRC
• Oversee timesheet processes and the calculation/allocation of staff costs into accounting system
• Consolidate ISEAL’s accounts and forecasts into management accounting-packs
• Support on preparation of the statutory accounts

Wider responsibilities

• Support the evolution of financial accounting procedures that are robust, effective and efficient, incl. acting as an administrator on Sage Intacct accounting software
• Engagement with the wider organisation on questions of accounting processes
• Experience, knowledge and attributes
• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification, or equivalent level experience
• Solid professional work experience in overseeing a finance function, ideally in an international setting using multiple currencies
• Competent in the use and exploitation of accounting systems

About the Role

The Management Accountant will work closely with the Head of Finance to enhance financial services and provide supportive management accounting at Solace. You will work alongside the Assistant Management Accountants to produce accurate and timely internal and external financial reports. 

The Management Accountant will have line management responsibilities for the two Assistant Management Accountants.

In this role, you will prepare monthly income and expenditure reports for more complex allocated projects and the organisation as a whole, the monthly cashflow, funder reports and lead on the preparation of the budget and half yearly forecasting. You will ensure that management accounts are produced within established deadlines with commentary of financial reporting variances. You you will meet regularly with budget holders and be able to explain the accounts to non-finance colleagues. Provide project terms and financial information to the Director of Finance and Business Support and Head of Finance.

As part of your support to our business development plans you will provide fast responses to requests for support for pricing of new bids, grant applications, tenders and provision of other relevant financial information.

As part of the annual statutory reporting you will assist and support in the preparation of the year-end close and audit.

At all times you will support the Head of Finance to develop a business partnering approach between Finance and the widder organisation.

About You

The successful candidate will be a nearly or fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, CCAB) or qualified by experience and desirably with knowledge of charity SORP reporting requirements, with charity experience on multi projects accounting.

Able to produce accurate reporting on timely manner and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines. Strong team player as well as working independently. Can work with non-finance budget holders with clear communication skills. Have strong knowledge of Excel and of working with finance systems.

The Job

ABRSM is seeking an experienced and proactive Head of Financial Accounting & Tax to lead statutory reporting, financial controls, and tax compliance. Reporting directly to the CFO, this pivotal role oversees one of three core finance functions, working alongside the Head of FP&A and the Head of Transactional Finance. You will manage a team of three directly and six in total.

You will be responsible for the monthly close, preparation of statutory accounts (including SORP‑compliant charity accounts), and management of external audit, while ensuring UK and international tax compliance in partnership with external advisors. In addition, you will strengthen financial controls, oversee treasury and cashflow, drive process improvements, and provide expert advice to senior leaders. As ABRSM expands internationally, this role is critical in safeguarding financial integrity and ensuring compliance across diverse jurisdictions, while upholding the charity’s high standards of governance.

The Person

We’re looking for a qualified finance professional (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) with a strong background in financial accounting and tax. The ideal candidate will bring:

• Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP/IFRS
• Experience working within an international organisation, with exposure to cross‑border tax and reporting issues

Interim Financial Accountant

Morden College are currently undertaking a significant transformation of their finance systems, data and reporting to support the delivery of their new organisational strategy. Following the recent successful implementation of Microsoft Dynamics Business Central, they are now completing the next phase of automation and system integration, while preparing for their first year-end and audit in the new system.

They are seeking an experienced, technical Interim Financial Accountant to support their Finance team during this critical period. Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, this role will combine hands-on financial accounting, systems improvement and audit preparation work, playing a key role in ensuring robust financial controls and accurate reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

You’ll be working closely in tandem with an existing permanent Financial Accountant whose focus is continuing to build the ‘business as usual’ of the Finance department.

• Complete balance sheet and other financial reconciliations, recommending accounting adjustments for approval
• Review journals and reconciliations prepared by other team members, ensuring accuracy and correct double-entry accounting
• Identify and recommend improvements to financial processes within the new finance system
• Support the preparation of statutory accounts and audit, ensuring key processes are fully up to date
• Assist with audit readiness, including reconciliations, receipting, arrears reporting, and capital expenditure review
• Support the preparation for migration to a new payroll system, working closely with HR and the Payroll Accountant to reconcile and validate data
• Contribute to wider finance process development, including Council Tax and Housing Benefit processes, VAT and resident billing

Key criteria:

You’ll be a qualified and experienced finance professional who is comfortable working in a change environment and adding value quickly. You will bring strong technical expertise alongside a collaborative and solutions-focused approach.

Our partner is seeking an experienced fund accounting consultant to deliver a short, fixed-scope diagnostic review following a recent finance system migration. The focus of this contract is to identify and triage discrepancies in fund balances ahead of an upcoming statutory audit.

This is a standalone Phase 1 engagement, with a clear written diagnostic as the primary output. Any follow-on support would be subject to findings and separately agreed.

Responsibilities

• Carry out a focused diagnostic review of fund balances following a finance system migration.
• Analyse discrepancies between legacy system balances, current system balances, and supporting fund schedules.
• Review available historical fund documentation and reporting to assess consistency and data integrity.
• Assess the treatment of opening balances and brought-forward positions at fund level.
• Identify whether issues are primarily data-driven, configuration-related, or reporting logic-related.
• Evaluate audit and governance risks and the proportionality of potential remediation options.
• Recommend a defensible historical cut-off for fund balances.
• Produce a concise written diagnostic note outlining findings, risks, assumptions, and recommended next steps.

Requirements

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
• Strong experience in charity or NGO fund accounting, including restricted and designated funds.
• Practical experience of finance system migrations and post-migration troubleshooting.
• Working knowledge of NetSuite, particularly fund or donor dimensions and reporting.
• Strong analytical skills and confidence working with complex or imperfect data.
• Clear written communicator, able to summarise complex issues succinctly.
• Comfortable working independently on a short, fixed-scope contract
